Hello

The application tier is supported by Linux 32-bit 3, 4 and 5 only.

The 9iR2 database is certified on 64-bit Linux 3 and 4.

The best thing to do is to create a virtual Linux 4 machine and move the top database.

You can also migrate and upgrade the database to 10g or 11g.

Discoverer 11 to connect to EBS 11i

IM currently able to connect EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) use DIscoverer desktop 4 (4.1.48.06) on RHEL 4
I installed DIscoverer desktop 11 (11.1.1.3.0) and try to connect to the same instance ebs 11i but he says
"Unable to connect to discoverer@ABC.
you don't have access to all the tables end user layer. »
I connect with the user of 'discoverer' for both versions
My question is what to do so that I'll be able to connect with the two explorers 4 & 11 on ebs 11.5.10.2
OS: RHEL 4.6
Discoverer 11: 11.1.1.3
Discoverer 4: 4.1.48.06

Please confirm that you have followed all the steps (using discoverer 11.1.1 with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i (Doc ID 1073963.1)).

Server Linux for EBS 11i upgrade
Hi all

EBS 11i
RHEL 4.6

Our EBS 11i is running on server HP with OS 4.6 RHEL and a single node only. This server was purchased 6 years ago and lately it is show the performance degradation. We want to migrate/upgrade to a model like high-end HP and make a knot of multiples. But the latest HP model doesn't support a minimum version of RHEL 5.
My question is, is the support for EBS cloning 11i RHEL 4.6 to RHEL 5? How can I migrate EBS 11i with this kind of scenario?

EBS 11i version 11.5 binary download

I want to install a fresh instance of 11.5 test EBS 11i in my server with database demo of Vision and everything. I could find binaries of R12 to download for installation but couldn't find the binary 11i.
Where can I fing download files to install the Oracle 11i Applications.
No matter what version of 11i will suffice but 11.5 is preferable.

I'm in the process of ebs 11i upgrade to 12.1.3. I'm almost done the upgrade process, the application may start, but to my surprise there is no managers competitors when I tried to generate all Business Views.

I just watched the competitor Manager journal:

EBS 11i database upgrade of database 11g 2 9.2.0.8

I demanded some suggestion. I m currently upgradation of ebs 11i to R12.
I have these processes I update my default database 9.2.0.6 EBS 11i to 9.2.0.8. now, I'll update my 9.2.0.8 to 11g 2 database using the metalink doc

in the document in step 3, it gives the point.

Migrating to Oracle 10 g (conditional) Portal
Oracle Portal 3.0.9 is not certified for Oracle Database 11 g. No, it is not required that you follow all the steps described in the note... As you have not set up a portal, you can skip this step and move to another. This is the reason why "CONDITIONAL" was used in the respective step.

Oracle 9.2.0 always have Oracle 11i support!
Dear all,

I have a little dough on extended on Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11.5.10 Support policies.

Actually my Client having 11.5.10.2 eBusiness suit, and he ticked all the boxes for the expanded according to metalink note support

Requirements of Patch for Extended Support of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11.5.10 [883202.1 ID]
except the database.

Their current database version is 9.2.0.8 and its not corresponding to the requirements of minimum basic patch. All other requirments as CU2, ATG, developer 6i and JRE are ready and up to date.

My Question is?

Is the database need to upgrade 9.2.0 to 10g / 11g?

or

Make Oracle support for 11i so am keeping this 9.2.0 database?

Kindly share your valuable knowledge because most of the necessary client dosnt for a database upgrade.

Cloning of EBS 11i RHEL4.6 to OEL5.6

Hi hussein.

I am cloning our EBS 11i RHEL4.6 to OEL5.6, but I encountered error:

Hi hussein.

I posted a thread here before on our company to buy or upgrade to a newer server which is of high quality and with more processors and memory.

We are currently running EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) on the current server, which is about 6 years old. It is the single node only and running RHEL 4.6.

Now, due to degradation of performance, we purchase newer machines which will be a two-node configuration. The machine seller said that the os it runs on will be RHEL 6.

My question is... RHEL 6 supported in EBS 11i? I can clone the existing PROD EBS 11i, located on RHEL 4.6 to
the new servers target running on RHEL 6?

If you install RHEL5, you can use quick Clone to clone from RHEL4 to RHEL5.

cloning of EBS 11i, AIX 5 L
Hi friends,

I am cloning EBS 11i, AIX 5 L on the same server.
Currently we have on the server @user oracle EBS 11i PROD.
I want to clone to EBS 11i TEST on the same server, oracle2 @user.
Things I've done:
1. run autoconfig
2 run preclone programs
3. copy appl and db of the file to the new location for the user oracle2.
4. run the user oracle2 cloning.

But I got the following error:

$ perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier

First create a new context for the cloned system file.

I solved my problem now. I'm just being dumb of me

In the init.ora, I see that there comment #.

#log_archive_start = true

Since it's the eve before db, it did not matter if its commented out.

But when I switch to it, now, the question to which it can not automatically archive the online redo, it is why ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE wait forever
