End of drain battery Dell place 11 Pro

I had been post in a different thread display freezing, but I tell myself that it is a different question although it may appear on the screen that is draining the battery.

So, here's my problem.  Whenever I leave my coming Pro 11 i5/128 GB/64-bit/Office 2013 go to sleep (power button / stop, timeout or close the lid on my mobile keyboard), it seems that the system goes to sleep - screen goes black.  However, when I open it up, I finally see that the 3 to 6% per hour battery is drained. This seems too much.  If I turn off the power instead, near 0% is depleted by next time.

I started with the affichage.3316 driver and I tried to upgrade vers.3345, but it doesn't seem to help.  I also checked the BIOS - "A05".  I am more that willing to run some test is necessary to diagnose, but not sure what to try.  Here's a 'powercfg /sleepstudy' newest sleep cycle.  As you can see, the family Intel Graphics device is 100% active during a connected sleep cycle.

Also, I noticed that sometimes, the fan turns on when he's asleep - I know that this thing can be power hungry.  Can anyone help?

Okay, maybe to something. I have the latest version of the O2 Micro installed driver that retains its identity in the Device Manager. This is the version 3.0.8.34 A03 (Dell driver #4Y1R8). This driver is installed instead of the "SDA Standard compatible SD Host Controller" which is under "Intel (r) 8 series PCI Express Root Port #4-9 C 16".» The controller will now appear in "Storage controllers" category as "controller of BayHubTech/O2Micro Integrated MMC/SD", and my SD card shows as a "SD SCSI Disk Device' in this.

The performance of the Audio driver may or may not be related, so I'll include the fact that I unpakaged the latest driver Realtek HD Audio 6.0.17399 A03 (47P 33) manually using 7 - zip as it was the only way he would unpack the actual driver files and install correctly. So I mentioned SD card driver above installed as well as the latest Audio drivers installed. The new audio drivers run processes less and less startup item, which certainly can't hurt things.

I stopped the O2FLASH service and set its startup type to manual (for disabled people is probably fine too). I'm not sure it makes a difference, but I don't see that it does not seem to affect the operation of the SD card at all.

The first test shows that the percentage of low power HW State is now of the order of 98% for the first time in my history of sleep study! All others are virtually zero. I just ran it for 20 minutes connected standby, but it is a great result! I'll let it run for long standby periods and let you know how it goes.

If you can or can not duplicate these results please let me know. There may be other factors in how I configured the computer that could play into it. However the changes I mentioned are those I've done between sessions on standby with status of low power 0% and now 98% material. I'm cautiously optimistic! :-)

I actually found a way how to solve this problem. Tried above all, disconnect battery, registry fixes and etc... In all cases at some point touchpad become unresponsible. But what I found accidentally - while the touchpad is not respond to gestures and does not move a cursor - function click on the touchpad still works. in any case, this close to me do not have a solution.

As always, the solution is just magic - all you need to do to restore a bloody thing - is to run SynaUtilitySfx.exe, while the Tablet is connected to the keyboard. The utility will fail saying that the touchscreen device not found - but this will allow touchscreen and a touchpad. Despite I'm an IT professional - I can't explain what is happening, but this method has worked for me.

I disconnected the keyboard shelf and set the keyboard on the charge, which immediately ruined the touchpad when I connected the keyboard for Tablet. I ran new SynaUtilitySfx.exe - all work. A few times to prove: it does not fix the bloody thing!

You can get SynaUtilitySfx.exe stuff from the dell Web site, they call it Panel Touch Firmware on Dell place 11 Pro 5130.

  • Reference Dell place 11 Pro shipping disappointment

I am writing this primarily to express my frustrations and I hope that someone at Dell will take notice because I think to complain to someone on the phone at Dell will fall on the deaf ears and will be a waste of time.  It seems that we, the consumers are at the mercy of Dell and for me, this is unacceptable.

A bit of history.  I ordered a Dell coming Pro 11 the day where he was available to order (11/8).  I had a few changes, I had to make to the order, remove their extended maintenance guarantee and remove the stylus and the keyboard - no change in reality have been made to the tablet itself.  This has been done on 11/11.  I never received a confirmation email from Dell telling me when should I expect my 'New' order, but I have received an order number of the person that I spoke, which was the only way I could follow the command.  The 'new' had a date of expected delivery of 12 to 18.  It seemed reasonable to me and I was happy to wait and excited.

In the meantime, I started to order accessories - screen protector and a 64 GB MicroSD in preparation for the arrival of my tablet.  18 I still had not received my being shipped order notifications and Dell sent an email about why, or when I would expect it.  I had received SEVERAL phone calls indicating that the order was in production and should be here 12/18.  I think that on the 18th or 19th I checked the Dell order support site to see that the issue had been delayed until 02/01/2014.  I was shocked... and spoke to the person who asked me the prescription being in production about why it had not been shipped.

The 2nd came and went, and still, only, I received a phone call from the rep of Dell indicating the order had been pushed back to 9, then on the 9th, declaring that it had been postponed until the 16th.  This morning I checked the Dell support site to be notified that the scheduled delivery date is 01 23, 2014.

I canceled the order this morning because I don't think I, or someone else should wait indefinitely for their order to arrive once his promised summer unnecessarily.  The "estimated delivery date" is a joke and does not reflect exactly any time in which the order could actually ship.

Looking on the Dell website, you can order a Tablet Dell place 11 Pro with the 16/01/2014 estimated shipping date all the way until 06/02/2014 depending on the type of Tablet that you choose.  I know I'm not the only one who had this problem and I hope that more people shut up someone at Dell reviews and change the way they do business.

I work in the COMPUTER industry and I am highly disappointed by Dell.  For now I'll only order Dell hardware for the company I work for. However, we will have to reassess these orders as well.

Thanks for listening/reading my rants, and I hope that others have had better luck I have.

Dell coming 11 Pro can be used without battery, with power connected?

Yes, works perfectly on AC only.   Keep in mind that if you have a sudden loss of power that you might have some issues such as loss of data, corruption of data, etc..    As if you lost power on a laptop (without battery) or a desktop computer.

  • Dell place 8 Pro 3G - Sleep / Wake Up questions

    Hello

A few days ago I bought the Dell coming Pro 8 3 G tablet. I have all available Windows Updates, latest drivers and BIOS of 'My Dell'. Unfortunately, my Tablet has some problems with the mode 'sleep'.

    1. only the 'Stop' and 'Restart' options are available in the drop-down list on 'Power' in the charming bar. 'Sleep' is not available and I can not turn off the screen by pressing the power button / stop on the right side of the tablet. I did a few tests using the powercfg command-line tool and I found, the driver mobile (or hardware) prevents the past in standby mode: if I disable the driver, I can put my device in mode 'sleep' without any problem.

    Mobile broadband driver:

Dell 5570e Wireless HSPA + (42mbps network) Mobile Broadband Card #4
    Date: July 9, 2014
    Version: 14.7.1050.64

    2. to wake up to the top of the device to sleep mode does not work if you do this after the first 10 seconds in mode 'sleep'.

When I disable WiFi driver in Device Manager, clock works well, even a few hours after the mode 'sleep' was launched.

    WiFi pilot:

    Dell 1538 wireless 802.11 a/g/n adapter.
    Date: July 4, 2014
    Version: 3.7.2.59655

I don't know if these questions are based on the hardware or driver/software based.

    Everyone knows about similar problems?

    Kind regards

    Dominik

Hello, I had the same problem and I tried all drivers update possible solution (reformatting my Tablet 6 times), the update of windows files, etc... Nothing helps. In the end, I found a similar problem for a Dell location 11 Pro user who suggests to turn off the TPM and Bitlocker. As soon as I disabled it Win8 table bitlocker and TPM/Bitlocker from the Bios (Secure boot - disabled), the Tablet began to wake from sleep with no problems... it's been 1 week now and it has not failed once (it allows to get a black 3 - 4 times per day before the change of the screen).

  • Reference Dell place 8 Pro not load external battery - is it true?

When I was interested in buying the DVP8 I went on the specs with the Dell rep to make sure it would be aware of my external battery to 5v 2.1 amps.  I travel on the very long flights, so it was key for me.

Anyway, long story short... I'm on my third unit and it still won't load of maintenance of my Inspiron 15R is my external battery.  Today when Dell called to follow with me I told them I still have problems.  Finally 1) it wouldn't charge my laptop because I am running W 8.1 and it was designed to not pay the tablets and "other devices" and 2) it won't load my battery external even though the specifications they me are right because it was not designed to do.

I don't think that is correct.  For point 1 - I charge my band of fuel, shows Suunto and other devices in the computer.  How would he know the difference between these devices and the Tablet?  (At least that Dell built something in their software because they are both Dell devices?)  Point 2 - in this forum I've seen read that some people are able to charge their devices with external batteries by bypassing their cable some how.

Someone mind check for me that they were able to trickle charge their device with a W8.1 machine or an external battery?

Okay, so what the representative has me BS.  I found a micro USB cord provided with either of my Samsung products today rummaging through a drawer.  With this cord, it will charge when I plug it into my Inspiron 15R IS, so it is not what that it is programmed in Windows 8.1 to prevent load "tablets and other devices.  Also, when I plug it into the same battery external ol ' that I tried to use it, it will charge with this rope.  Also, if I use this rope with a generic ankle, it still load.  So, it has NOTHING in the design to prevent it from loading it with other cords similarly spec'd and caps.  So 4 months and 3 devices later, I finally have answers to my questions and a solution.  BTW, if anyone wants to try, the cord has been marked for a product of the Galaxy Tab.

  • Reset Dell place full pro 11

I read how to do a complete reset location of Dell pro 11 7130 must make recovery usb disk, then use it to reinstall. But when I do that there is no partition backing up I can see and the USB key will eventually be 256 MB and my system is 4-5 GB in size. I also noticed something on a warning that he will present to Windows 8 and I have installed 8.1 so I would need my installation disc, but I have no additional disks, that it is a tablet of second hand, so I'm not sure what came up with it in the first place? Our am that I ok to just go ahead with it? (I guess it will just install the USB not an img file too?) . Thank you

I managed to attach the shelf to my phone and made the system detect and update drivers. I doubt the file corruption, but I guess that maybe... I looked at the log file and it said it couldn't detect the language of Windows and so he stopped from what I see. Very strange. Which could point to the bad programming if it was working properly I guess.

  • Reference Dell place 11 Pro - load and power Question

I have an i5 Vpro coming 11 Pro.  I also have the mobile keyboard. When I use them together power seems to draw everything first on the tablet.  I say mostly because the battery level drops faster than the mobile keyboard.  I searched the postings here and which seems contrary to what others have said, it is expected to be drawing from the battery first.

    If anyone can confirm this?

    Thank you!

    Mike

I have the i5 VP11 Pro, 256 GB, 8 GB of RAM, and I use it with the mobile keyboard regularly. I am typing on right now. I can confirm that power is drawn from the keyboard first. In fact, mine will drain the keyboard up to 0% before application of the Tablet battery.

    None fixes please?

    Bobby Burgess

    Hi Bobby,.

I found this thread on the venue Pro 8 and of connection to wireless networks / hot spots.  Try the suggestion in this thread and see if it helps.

NOTE: I copied on the steps of resolution here as well in case anyone wants to see it.

When sometimes, I had this problem, a deep discharge set: with power supply not connected, press the button of the Tablet for 30 or 60 seconds, including after the Tablet died;  Let the Tablet turned off for 2 minutes; and restart.  Have been informed by Support technique Dell that the cause is a buildup of static electricity, which avoids deep discharge.

  • Reference Dell place 11 Pro and Dock

    Hi all

I have a Dell coming Pro 7130 11 and the docking station. I can't have an external display to work using the HDMI port or display connectors. I have 2 Dell E198WFP (1440 x 900), the two connecting using DVI inputs. Display sometimes appears, but does not have the resolution or refresh rate tries to run at 75 Hz despite being set at 60 Hz

AFAIK drivers etc are all up to this date, the tablet can connect to an external monitor using the construction to the mini HDMI port without problem?

    Any suggestions, anyone please?

Hi, the dock rarely works for me... the workaround I found is to unplug power dock and plug back in. (works 95% of the time, I get the monitor like that). It is with the 7130 model.

  • Dell place 11 Pro travel keyboard - touchpad does not

I bought the DVP11 with travel keyboard, and touchpad not responding after working initially. The keyboard is completely loaded, as is the DVP. All other keys on the keyboard work. Dell tried updating the BIOS support and several parameters of the driver, but no change. Thoughts before I have send the keyboard backwards?

Mine has started working after the update too. But I think you're right that the problem is related to the battery or charge, touchpad no longer works after that I loaded the keyboard separately and then connected it. There are also some problems of connection between the keyboard and screen, if the screen turned completely open position, so it rests against the back of the keyboard, keys or the touchpad does not work.

  • Bluetooth on Dell place 8 Pro Running Windows 10 Technical Preview

Hey I installed this last night and I'm pretty happy with it; wonder how 'done' experience currently is only the preview software. Read some negative reports how he is more Office-oriented now, but I'm when even love.

Almost everything works - even my pen!

Can't get Bluetooth running; anyone else having the same problem? Try to connect the mouse and keyboard that I use.

    Thank you!

    UPDATE *.
Someone on WPCentral cracked the problem of Bluetooth on Dell coming Pro 8!
To reactivate the BT, go to Dell and download the driver for the Dell coming Pro 8 BT. Do NOT run the .exe - will not work. Instead, right click and extract the file and follow the link to go to the extracted file.
From here, follow the trail of the rabbit of the folders until you are finally in the final folder of Bluetooth drivers.
Inside, there is a single file with the extension of the suffix ".inf".
Yet once, double click NOT. all that will happen is the notebook opens to display the contents of the file. Instead, right click on this file and select "install".
You should then get a pop "installed successfully" upward. When you then go into the settings of PC... PC and peripherals, above the 'Devices' link, you will see the "Bluetooth" link there as well and inside the power control and the list of devices.
Beautiful thing has my devices were still there - I didn't have to re - associate anything. My keyboard and mouse BT are now running happily on the Preview.

  • Dell place 8 Pro - corrupted recovery partition

Through my own stupid actions, I decided to try to remove the recovery partition which took 9 GB.

This now left me with a tablet to work but no way to reformat all. I tried the advice of dell as follows: -.

Here are the steps to reset your Tablet:

    1. If your device is not already off, hold the power button for 10 seconds to power it down.
    2. Once it is off, press the power button to turn it on.
    3. When the Dell logo appears (you may have to do as soon as the screen lights up rather than wait for the logo to appear), press and hold the power button to turn it off.
    4. To make this process 3 or 4 times (they said 4, but it's only 3 for me) until you see something inside say it starts automatic system repair.
    5. From there, you should see a menu. Choose 'Troubleshoot' and the following menu should ask if you want to reset your PC as well as a few other options.
    6. Choose Reset the PC, and when you get to the two options that ask 'just delete the files' or "completely reset PC", choose the second option. From there, you should be able to follow the instructions to set up your device.

The stadium fully reset, he asks system files or support?

I tried a boot with an OTG cable disk that is recognized by the Tablet PC, but even if I can put it as 1st boot in the Tablet through merely to win 8.1.

I reinstalled the dell recovery program, but that stops before the end

Does anyone know of a way around this problem?

You will have to live with the Tablet as is, or send it to Dell, no way to restore 9FR, probably Dell will charge you to fix the shelf, that's not their fault, it's yours.
