end the session 2011 problem with hotmail
All of a sudden, I find that I can't sign out of hotmail. Have you tried the delete cookies option but that made no difference. Help.
Usually, when you click log off and you get the message that says something like: cannot disconnect cookies are enabled to delete cookies, he said also browser close and reopen. I have never delete cookies, I just close the browser and reopen and I am automatically disconnected. If this does not work for you, go to: Control Panel, user accounts, manage your network passwords, highlight and click on delete. Do not click on backup. They come back again.

Using Firefox 7.0.1; having problems with hotmail. Cannot click on controls at the top of MSG, which is New, reply, delete, etc.. Can click on the same commands @ the bottom of the problem w/no MSG. Also cannot click on Inbox folder once I have access to another folder. All known solutions?
This problem may be caused by the Yahoo! toolbar as scopes as well down and covers the top of the browser window, allowing links in this part of the screen not clickable.

Hotmail was not able to complete this application. Microsoft may contact you regarding any issue you are reporting.I was able to resovle the issue by using one of the difficulty there programs - one that reset you IE back to default settings.
I'm not sure why it worked, as my wife email worked fine but mine did not.
But all is well for now.

Looks like a temporary problem.

Problem with Hotmail using Firefox
First of all, I am aware that this problem has happened to other people. They have different levels of success with different solutions. Thing is, at this moment, none of them work for me.
I have Firefox 12.0 and starting yesterday I can access my Hotmail account, no problem, but it does not save the clicks in the e-mail domain. I can sort of browsing around, but I can't read emails; I can't send e-mail messages; and I end up having to use Internet Explorer.
It's happened before, a couple of months. At the time, what worked was using Hotmail with an HTTPS connection. Worked like a charm.
Now, it does not work. Neither clear cache my story or my cookies. Neither fact restart Firefox in safe mode, i.e. with all disabled add-ons. So I'm at the end of my rope, because nobody seems to have any other advice.
The only thing I can think of who might be involved was running an MicrosoftFixIt program, which sets out what seems to be a recurring error for many users (sometimes Windows Update would list not updated). I did a couple of days, and yesterday I had this problem with Firefox. I had done once before, and well I'm not sure I * think * it is at the same time I got my first issue of Hotmail.
Outside the info in troubleshooting information, all I have to add is that I use Windows 7 Ultimate.
Any help would be appreciated. See you soon.
the details of the system, you have presented that it seems you have the plugin pdf foxit reader on your system - it is known to cause problems with hotmail since firefox 12. Disable it in firefox > addons > plugins until there an update by foxit, which solves the problem

Problems with Hotmail in Windows Live Mail Junk folder
I came across a new problem three days ago. I noticed that any mail sent to my Hotmail Junk folder was endangered almost the moment where that happened. It was not deleted, it was simply disappearing one second after he arrived (I can watch it happen then disappear). I am able to access these emails with webmail, so I know that they are not being deleted. The same thing happens not with my gmail accounts with Hotmail.
My storage is nowhere close to full, and I have not changed the settings either in the month, Windows Live Mail or via webmail. Neither I ran Windows Update recently.
Until this started, I was getting at least a dozen e-mails a day (from different mailing lists that I prefer to keep in the junk e-mail folder).
Any ideas? Thank you.

Do you receive an error message? If Yes, what is the exact error message and the error code?

I suggest you to remove and reconfigure the Windows Live mail account and check if that helps. Please see the steps below.
1. start your Windows Live Mail account.
2. click on Tools in the menu bar, then choose accounts.3. click on the e-mail address you want to remove.
4. click delete , and then tap OK.
5. If you want to add, click on the Tools option again on the menu bar and then choose accounts. 6. click Add and choose email account.
7. click on Next.
8. type your e-mail address, password and display name, and then click Next.
