EndProcess.exe lost

I ran Avast scan yesterday and this file C:\HP\BIN| EndProcess.exe came infected as a win32:killApp - w, I moved it in the quarantine area which means to examine it. However, today I uninstalled Avast program and lost the file.  This is an important issue and if so, how can I restore it? Thank you.

It is a zipped file.  If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip , which can be used to open it.

  • Is the file ' C:\HP\Bin\EndProcess.exe file legitimate?

I have a month HP g6z laptop with Windows 7, 64-bit.  My anti-virus (Avast Pro) software has identified a file as a virus, but I suspect that it is a legitimate file from HP.  The location/name of the file is: "C:\HP\Bin\EndProcess.exe."  Avast Pro indicates the size of the file as bytes 55 296.  The virus description is that it is a PUP file.

I don't want to delete the file until I know if it's a legitimate file from HP or a virus.

    Thanks, Terry

    Hello. I have two problom.

    1. when the health analysis of HP Support Assistant has completed, windows says "CASLExec has stopped working".

    2. Avira anti virus "C:\HP\Bin\EndProcess.exe" like APPL/KillApp.A.

    Thank you.

1 use HP Recovery Manager in your departure, all programs to reinstall HP Support Assistant.

2 - most probably a false positive by Avira.I launch Avira too and he actually never reported this file as being faulty.

  • Win XP: Lost menu of the Explorer bar. A running fix, XP_ToolbarFix.exe without result.

    Win XP SP 3

I had just done a messy uninstall a Pinnacle product.
And then I lost the menu bar off the coast of Solution Explorer.

Search pages in Support of MS, I found XP_ToolbarFix.exe.  This implementation does not restore my menus.

Can I get assistance messaging for free for this problem, as the MS fix did not work for me?

    Thank you.

If the system restore does not work then you have other problems with the system.

If you have your installation CD, I suggest that you run the checker system fle.

Go to Start - run and type:

    sfc/scannow

This command will launch immediately the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replace all the files with which it detects a problem.  You may be prompted to insert the installation CD.

This behavior is caused by a corrupted or damaged HH. DAT file.

This may occur if Antivirus or a firewall, you have installed the program it blocks.

After that I logged my Windows, I see that my taskbar are lost...
Windows has said, "Windows Explorer has stopped working"...
I click on "close the program".
I use the Task Manager to open explorer.exe again...

What will happen to my laptop?

    Hello

    1. What is the full/exact error message?
2 were there any hardware or software changes made on the computer before this problem?

    Follow the steps.

    Method 1
Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists, if the question does not persist then perform the clean boot and check if the problem resolves.

    Step 1
Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed. Please click the below mentioned link.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2
Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After you have performed the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startup mode.

    Method 2:
See the help article and check if it helps.

An upgrade on the spot is the final solution before you have to reinstall the operating system.
Note that it takes as much time to do the upgrade as to reinstall the operating system. In addition, some of your custom Windows settings may be lost through this process.

  • Lost files to exe Apps

A few days after having installed successfully the Photoshop and Bridge apps for my laptop developed a fault, and after having resolved this issue I can't launch an App as exe files appear to have been lost.  How can I download and install the Apps again? Because I already downloaded apps on my desktop and my laptop I do not seem to be able to download it again.  Any advice would be welcome.

First try to run the uninstall programs if they are still there. On Windows via the control panel (and Mac OS X from the location of Applications > utilities > Adobe Installers).

After that, you should be able to re - install the products.

Only if necessary next run the cleaning Adobe CC, solution 3 to http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation - problems.html. Remove installed products.

Then try to re - install.
