Ensure the Tomcat Setup program

Here is a description of what I'm trying to do, with my current setup.

The Oracle database server resides on an internal network, call the N1 (I have no control over the F1 firewall to this network). My server has two different physical cards. One is directly connected to the N1, the other is connected to a firewall F2 (I control) and is then accessible to the public via the network N2.

I'm not familiar with GlassFish, so I installed Tomcat to run on the server, SSL is activated and deployed certificates. I want more is to install the listener APEX to provide access to the APEX of the applications running on the database server. HTTP traffic is redirected to run over HTTPS.

I don't know if I have provided enough detail, but my question is if it is a secure configuration? If this is not the case, how can I improve it?

As a warning, I already looked at the Advanced Configuration described in http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex-listener/overview/index.html and I am a bit confused about this quote:

For public networks or hosted environments, it is important that the listener Oracle APEX is installed inside the firewall, and the HTTP listener is installed outside the firewall. Applications are sent to the Web Server external and passed through the firewall to the listener of the APEX.

Thank you

Jeff

Hello Jeff,.

scenario you can be quite sure, if your F1 allows connections to database only from your Tomcat host. However, the hosts faced a public network, so it can be compromised and must therefore be regarded as dangerous.
That suggests the quote you have there is to put an extra layer between the two, so the instance of database calls is in a safe area, which would improve safety. This is a typical application: a HTTP Proxy (cast) to the public network (SSL alone or mixed) and redirect HTTP to an internal area (Port open only for the proxy and only to hosts specified inside).
In your scenario, this would mean that you set up a proxy (for example Apache HTTP Server) in N2. After that, your Tomcat moves either N1 or N2 cut into two pieces (N2.1 public face with only the proxy inside and N2.2 to the proxy with your Tomcat inside), or if both approaches are not applicable, you put both Tomcat and proxy in N2 but configure the Tomcat to listen to local requests by your proxy only. Both Tomcat and proxy should not be on the same machine, or at least in cages different (e.g. boxes chroot).

Hope this helps you understand the suggested 'Advanced Configuration '.

  • The Windows Setup program does not open. Stuck with black screen.

    Hi all

I'm trying to install windows 7 from an iso file using Bootcamp assistant, Version 6.0.1 but unfortunately just windows installer does not open so I'm stuck with this black screen. I left my sit MacBookPro autour with this black screen during more than half an hour and after awhile, it gets really hot so I interrupted the "process."

I have reset the NVRAM (command + alt + p + r) which did nothing.

I followed the instructions of bootcamp. I downloaded the correct drivers for my model of mac pro book, I created a bootable and partitioned my drive.

The forum has a lot of "black screen problems" but none of their solutions worked for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    1. leave BCA creates the installer from USB, but not to partition your drive.

    2. download the correct drivers to install Windows 7 and previous versions on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support and replace $WinPEDriver$, AutoUnattend.xml, and the entire folder on the drive flash USB2 Bootcamp.

    3. run BCA, connect the USB cable and click only the Windows Installer and test if the Setup program starts.

  • the iTunes Setup program finishes, but the application does not appear

For starters, I'm on Windows, but it seems that the system is not the problem because it's happened before, with my Macbook Air.

I download iTunes on Apple's site and Setup will run as usual and finishes. But iTunes never displayed in Program Files, the destination he was supposed to have downloaded. I opened the Task Manager and tried to manually run the program yourself by using 'itunes.exe', but he writes that the application does not exist.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

The more information box has direct links with the current and recent if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with third-party software.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

  • The Windows Setup program opens each time a program is open

My setup issues are not quite like those posted. My Windows Installer is not only appear at any time, but rather opens whenever I want to open a program. I click on explore, and I get the window. It passes through the preparation to installation and the program opens. It should not only be the program well. When I tried to open this Web page, it came, and then when I wanted to post this comment he came again. So I had to wait until he is 'install', and then I could post.  I did a system restore now for something completely different, and once I did, and then it started to happen. I also decided to restore back to an earlier date, and then I got the message unable to restore. I tried to re-boot in safe mode, but it wouldn't take my password! Thank God it's Friday! I really want to solve first the thing of windows installer.

    Thank you!

  • The iTunes Setup program does not open windows 10

I recently bought a new computer that comes with windows 10 home installed on it. When you try to install the version of Itunes available on the itunes site, the program does not open, but instead appears with the message

The same goes for the other files installed that have been suggested for windows 10 errors and I can't seem to find a solution. I even tried to contact Microsoft technical support team however they were no help either.

    Help me please!

I have also the same problem and same message. I have a new Lenovo laptop with windows 10. I sent support from Lenovo. I hope they can help.

  • the Windows Setup program does not work after restoring

Since I restored my system, when I try to open excel or word, I get a windows install. Even after installing windows install 4.5. How can I get excel and word to work?

    Hello

    1. could you give us the exact error message?
    2. do you get this error only when you use Excel?

    Method 1.
I recommend you to reregister the Installer engine.
    Here's how:
    a. Click Start, click Accessories and then click command prompt.
    b. at the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER after each line:

    MSIExec /Unregister

    MSIExec/regserver

    Method 2.

It seems that there is a background app that launches the installer of Windows. We can perform a boot minimum troubleshooting to find the same thing. You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

  • The Windows Setup program has disappeared from my system.

  • The ColdFusion Setup program succeeds, but with no /bin/ directory

I just tried to reinstall a CF9 server, but Setup ends with 'NonFatalErrors 11' and there is no /cf-root/bin Directory.

This means that I can't run /cf-root/bin/coldfusion start so I can not fire up the server. I tried to install it twice and no luck.

I installed as a root of /opt/ , at /opt/coldfusion9 , using the ColdFusion_9_WWE_linux64.bin file you downloaded Adobe today and with permissions set to 777 on the file.

The /cf-root/coldfusion9 folder is missing other directories as well, for example there is no logs Directory. He also seems to be coldfusion and cfinfo files in the folder root of the CF, these look like they should be in the bin folder.

    So, I have the following:

    /cf-root/coldfusion9/coldfusion

    /cf-root/coldfusion9/cfinfo

    /cf-root/coldfusion9/cfstat

    Instead of

    /cf-root/coldfusion9/bin/coldfusion

    /cf-root/coldfusion9/bin/cfinfo

    /cf-root/coldfusion9/bin/cfstat

I don't know that I need to display more data here if someone will help, but I don't know where to look next.

I'm under Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server version 5.6 (Tikanga)

OK, the problem seems to be related to the fact the on my server, the folder/tmp was not executable. I also had problems with the folder/tmp, run out of space.

This blog has suggested to use another temporary folder to start the installation: Directory http://www.caxiamgroup.com/blog/web-development/changing-coldfusion-temporary-install-dire / # comment - 13992

That seemed to fix the problem. I would hazard a guess that it may have solved the first 9.0.1 problem, but I'm not going to test this theory until I have a separate test server running redhat to try it on.

The actual code that solved the problem for me:

    mkdir/root/cf9_install

    Export IATEMPDIR = / root/cf9_install

Also thanks to Andy Allan from Fuzzy Orange for his help in coming to this conclusion.

  • The Windows Setup program does not start

I'm trying to install 10 windows using boot camp. I'm on a macbook pro retina early 2015 on OSX 10.11.2

I opened the boot camp assistant and it brings me to a screen to select the ISO and partition my drive.

After I choose how I want to partition my drive, it brings me to a screen where it downloads windows supported, copies of windows install files and restarts.

At this point, I expect 10 to start windows installer, however it brings me right to the normal sequence of boot OSX. I tried now option when it is booting, but I only see the OSX disk to start. Then, I go to bootcamp again and it gives me the ability to delete my bootcamp partition. I checked in disk utility, and it seems that the drive is partitioned in fact, but I can't get the windows installer to run and install windows on the new partition.

I was wondering if anyone had questions similar to this.

    Thank you!

Please perform the following two procedures...

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

If you have any external storage connected, unplug it during the installation process. New attempt of BCA. You will need to remove the previous partition, and start all over again.

I use Vista Home Premium. When you perform the update of windows I get 641 error code. In addition, had 'Installer could not access' trying to download QuictTime.  I read the posts of severl where people thought iolo System Mechanic may have caused a registry problem. I contacted iolo on the problem, and they mentioned, that there is a registry problem with 10.8 SM, I think. They said that they are working on the problem. They have called for a snapshot of the system and said: your question has been referred to our support technicians to senior level for further research. I had to have a response within 24-48 hours; However, I have not heard from them yet. Is there a way I can reload Windows install? A simple help would be appreciated. Other than the update or install delivers the computer is running fine. The tenth of May was the last Windows Update to work.
