Enter text in the cells of data form

Hi all! Can someone me hint on how to activate text entering my data planning form in cells? All the values of the axis in this form of data have the 'No', but for 1 column data type a dimension value I put the data of 'Text' type - I want this column will contain text (this column is based on a value of custom dimension). I have also included all the dimensions in the order of evaluation in Administration > Dimensions. I would be very grateful for any help! Thank you very much in advance!

Hello

Here is an example of what I've done to enter text data in a form.
Created a new Member account called "TextAccount".
Set the Data Type:-text
Evaluation order:-placed the account in the selected dimensions.
Refresh intend to essbase.

Form created, including the account member "TextAccount".
Now I can enter text in the shape's cells.

See you soon

    Hi all

the data type of the Member to the Text value cannot be more than 255 characters. Is it possible to increase the no. characters.

    Hello

As the text in the cell is stored in the database of planning, you can try to change the storage of the cell text column in the planning of the relational database tables.
Essbase only stores a number reference in the text of the cell.

Note that Oracle will not support this change, but it should work when it shows the cell text in web forms

Let me know if it helps.

  • How to put the text in the cell and support in detail in read-only?

    Hello world

In Hyperion 11.1.1.3, nobody knows how to put the text in the cell and the support of the details read-only after that the budgeting process is done in order to avoid people to change their comments.

    Thank you!

Published by: Ouizmie on February 3, 2011 11:14

There is no way to restrict the entry of text in the cell
If you specify the description to charge you like details in support, which can be made read-only.
but cell text comments to review, which can be changed. Even if you only read your form, users will be able to enter the text in the cell as long as they have access to the intersections of data...

You can do a process to enter the descriptions of the charges, as supporting details only...

Is it possible to copy text information of one POV to another cell using rules

I am trying to copy data between two scenarios, but the text in the cell is not copying, when I make a copy of the script to the script, to help

    Hs.Exp's #DestPOV = S #SrcPOV.

It is not possible to copy the text in the cell. Rule cannot read or write the text in the cell. There is a function that determines if the cell contains text in the cell or not, according to me, if not, that is a limitation.

    Hello
The tables, you need to change are hsp_cell_note_item and hsp_text_cell_value.
You must call an alter table statement, and increase the size of the fields that hold the text values.

  • How to change the default alignment of text in the cells in a table on the demand for numbers?

I'm new to Mac. I own a MacBook pro MF839HN/A and currently using the 3.6.2 release NUMBERS (2577). I want to know if I can change the default alignment of text in the cell in a table of NUMBERS application? Also, when I select all the cells in a table to change their alignment, I can only change the horizontal alignment of the text and not the vertical alignment. To change the vertical alignment of the text in a cell, I have to select them individually. Help me with two questions.

The only way I know is to create a table that is set up as you like, then save the empty document as a template customized by using the menu item "file > save as template:

  • Use the keyboard to enter text on the stage

Like others here, I'm kinda a novice. Used to use the Director and Lingo years before, but am very rusty and the rest on something, I had understood years before.

For my project, I need the user to be able to enter text in a field of text during the demo. Basically I'm just trying to understand how to do so that I can enter text on the stage via my keyboard using Lingo. I did a search on this site, but couldn't find something from this base in discussion.

I am using Director 11.5 and the finished demo runs on a PC and a Mac. Any help would be incredibly well received.

What part of this are you having trouble with? If you add a #text or #field member to the stage as a sprite, and their #editable property is set to TRUE, you should be able to enter text in the other.

  • Enter text in the works of full screen

    Hello

I did a trivia game app that allows me to enter text in the input fields when the application is full screen on my laptop of quiz.

When I try to launch the SWF on my laptop at home, sometimes it allows me to enter text, sometimes it doesn't.

I don't remember what I did on my laptop quiz to enable entering text in full screen.

Can someone please clarify under what conditions it allows Flash?  I wonder if I configured laptop quiz to run SWF files using a debug version of Flash or something, but I don't remember.  As far as I can tell, it's just using the Flash player.

    Thank you guys

    Shaun

This is expected behavior.  Open a swf in the stand-alone player and you can go full screen (without clicking a button, if you want to) and you can enter text in a textfield.

It's in a browser adobe imposes restrictions on what you can do with full screen: for example, you can not go full screen without user intervention immediately preceding the displayState change, and you cannot enter text.

    Hello

    http://gumbo.flashhub.NET/keyboard/

It is a small example of a 'virtual' keyboard that will enter the text into a textinput/textarea component selected. Capslock and shift key States really aren't quite right (really need control shift/cap lock combo), but there is a simple tab and backspace (delete) and enter the function key.

    hope this is useful

  • Whole package not just the text in the cell

Does anyone know how to do either 1 table with 6 columns or 6 juxtaposed individual tables that encapsulate the cell/table and he is content to the next line if the width of the screen is resized?

    I tried to create
    a. 1 table with 6 columns
    b. 6 individual tables with each 1 column
    c. 1 table with 6 individual tables inside

and none seem to wrap the entire cell if the width of the screen is shortned, only wrap the text inside the cell and overwrite the table upwards.

    Thanks in advance.

Tables don't work that way. You can use the divs floated left and they are online
If the width of the page or the container is not large enough to hold them. It is a
previous example I made long time ago http://wizerways.net/challenge/

  • How to display the text in the cell for CDA on the report

    Hi all

I use en-Studio of reporting. Now my requirement is I want to show the text in the cell that I added under CDA - column Variance in the report. So for this I used the text of the cells and within this function function, I gave the line, column and page number. But it does not show the text in the cell that I added for hyperion planning on the report. But if I am referring to another cell text that I added to the variance of Yeartotal I'm able to see on the report.
Can someone tell me why I'm not able to see the text from the cell that I added to the variance of the CDA?
Pls tell the way by which I can return.

    My formula looks like this-

< < TxtCase ("Grid1", 78 H, 1, $CurrentMonth = "October") > > I am very confused about the last parameter. No error or the kind of argument not valid message, but it still all just empty.

    Thank you

I think you're out of luck on this one.

Cell notes are stored in the planning of the HSP_CELL_NOTE and HSP_CELL_NOTE_ITEM tables. Done HSP_CELL_NOTE refers to a member for each dimension that is pointing to the intersection where the note should be linked. YearTotal is an intersection, even though it is dynamically calc would be in essbase. Each HSP_CELL_NOTE NOTE_ID points to one or more notes that are stored in HSP_CELL_NOTE_ITEM. This means that although you can save a note in YearTotal, it does not display when you report on the Y-T-D (Oct) which is purely dynamic. It does state that when you reference specifically an intersection that is stored in HSP_CELL_NOTE.

It would be nice if you could see all the notes stored in Jan: Oct when your report contains a Y-T-D (Oct), but it doesn't.

You can always write a stored procedure to go against the tables and the report in excel.

  • How can I get a formula refer to the text in the cell rather than the data?

I've formatted some cells to show 0 if the calculation is a negative number, but how do I get another formula using the value 0 (rather than the negative number that is in the data) when calculating?

    This one is stumping me!

    HI WS8,.

Formulas will use the value in the cell. A 'format' only controls what is displayed and does not change the actual value contained in the cell.

If you want a formula for use 0 in which case the actual value in the cell is negative, you will need to do one of the following:

    1. Revising the formula to create the value in the source cell to return a zero if the calculated value is less than zero:
      = MAX (0,formula)

      OR

    2. Revise the formula that returns the value in this cell (B2 in the example below) to convert values less than zero to zero.
      Current formula: = B2 * 1 k
      Revised formula: = (MAX (0, B2) * k)
