Enter text in the works of full screen

Hello

I did a trivia game app that allows me to enter text in the input fields when the application is full screen on my laptop of quiz.

When I try to launch the SWF on my laptop at home, sometimes it allows me to enter text, sometimes it doesn't.

I don't remember what I did on my laptop quiz to enable entering text in full screen.

Can someone please clarify under what conditions it allows Flash?  I wonder if I configured laptop quiz to run SWF files using a debug version of Flash or something, but I don't remember.  As far as I can tell, it's just using the Flash player.

Thank you guys

Shaun

This is expected behavior.  Open a swf in the stand-alone player and you can go full screen (without clicking a button, if you want to) and you can enter text in a textfield.

It's in a browser adobe imposes restrictions on what you can do with full screen: for example, you can not go full screen without user intervention immediately preceding the displayState change, and you cannot enter text.

    No, it's a safety device. The entries are permanently. Flash 10 is supposed to add a little more though. Here's the info from Adobe:

  • FLASH PLAYER 10.3.183.7 DOES NOT WORK IN FULL SCREEN

    FAO: MR. CHRIS CAMPBELL

    Hello Chris

    You probably get this from all angles, but the most recent update for Flash Player (10.3.183.7) JUST DO NOT WORK CORRECTLY.

    I keep my browsers updated and as of today (5 September 2011) Flash WORKS in "small pane in the browser" mode (for example, in Youtube) BUT VA VIRGIN AS SOON AS LARGER.

    Note that overlay the legends and pause / graphic reading DO all the work - it's only video decompression that is not - leave black and white screen.

    It's FireFox 7.0 both last Google Chrome: I carefully uninstalled & replace Flash form the links you have posted here and IT STILL DOES NOT WORK in full screen.

    You must release really NO new version of automatic update code like this that are not properly tested: it has mucked up watching a video for millions of people unnecessarily.

    Because of the new accelerator support?   who knows.    It's a living environment, the Toshiba Satellite Pro (we do not have all go and buy new PC every 10 weeks like you developers do) and it has a P4 and the integrated graphics card Intel 82852 standard: perfectly fine until last week.     But it has 64 MB graphic and I see that 10.3.183.7 now 'requires' 128 MB?       You can not just make assumptions like that: I bet that there are 50 million more RAM VGA PC there with 64 MB (or less).

    Adobe is a great product, but it is a complete and total ball * ls - up like we in England is called: Please excuse my Anglo-Saxon franchise.    Sorting, please.

    Mike, London, exasperated

    Hi Mike,.

    You could run into problems of video acceleration here.  I apologize and we do not have an internal bug against it (bug #2950542), which will be fixed in the next version of Flash Player.  In the meantime, you can try turning off hardware acceleration to see if that makes a difference?

    How to disable or enable hardware acceleration?

    Thank you

    Another problem is that if the mode full screen is enabled on a machine with two monitors, you can toggle focus on programs in another monitor. But whenever you focus on the browser full screen, black prompt is displayed again, which is annoying.

    Hi fordbzd,

    This could be a big question for https://www.stackoverflow.com or https://www.mdn.com

    These are third party, but they are nice places to start:

    It depends on the api used as well to track down the call for the notification of full screen or a video player:

    Hello

    If you would please provide details on the game you play?  Also, have you tried to hit F11 and attempt to place the game in Mode full-screen.  In addition, check with the OEM of the game to check if there was an options in the game to use Mode full screen.  I hope that this information is beneficial.

  • Use the keyboard to enter text on the stage

    Like others here, I'm kinda a novice. Used to use the Director and Lingo years before, but am very rusty and the rest on something, I had understood years before.

    For my project, I need the user to be able to enter text in a field of text during the demo. Basically I'm just trying to understand how to do so that I can enter text on the stage via my keyboard using Lingo. I did a search on this site, but couldn't find something from this base in discussion.

    I am using Director 11.5 and the finished demo runs on a PC and a Mac. Any help would be incredibly well received.

    What part of this are you having trouble with? If you add a #text or #field member to the stage as a sprite, and their #editable property is set to TRUE, you should be able to enter text in the other.

    Hello

    http://gumbo.flashhub.NET/keyboard/

    It is a small example of a 'virtual' keyboard that will enter the text into a textinput/textarea component selected. Capslock and shift key States really aren't quite right (really need control shift/cap lock combo), but there is a simple tab and backspace (delete) and enter the function key.

    hope this is useful

  • Enter text in the cells of data form

    Hi all! Can someone me hint on how to activate text entering my data planning form in cells? All the values of the axis in this form of data have the 'No', but for 1 column data type a dimension value I put the data of 'Text' type - I want this column will contain text (this column is based on a value of custom dimension). • s:videoplayer not 100% after the release of full screen size

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with the size of VideoPlayer narrows down when you exit the full screen.

    I have the included VideoPlayer with width of 100% and 100% of height which fills the browser window well.  However after hitting the button fullscreen and the Esc, the VideoPlayer is reduced to a tiny size (seems to be the size of the original video file, or maybe the size of 'default' VideoPlayer).

    This simple application produces the error:

    Is this a known issue?  Does anyone have a solution?  There's probably some sort of "re-initailise" or something I can do?

    Thank you

    Mark

    What I did after a lot of research was:

    Listen to the FULL_SCREEN event to the systemManager

    systemManager.stage.addEventListener (FullScreenEvent.FULL_SCREEN, function (e)
    {
    var e.fullScreen = event;
    if(Event==false)
    {
    player.percentHeight = 100;
    player.percentWidth = 100;
    player.invalidateDisplayList ();
    } trace (e);
    });

    and if it's close to re-enter the percentage of the width and height of the player, and it works again as expected.

    I hope this helps...
