Hi, I installed 11g on my computer, but when I open IE to access the contents of Enterprise Manager and then install the certificate, the page is white and I can not connect.

Any idea what is happen?

Best regards.

Hello

Check the status of the console

Use it to Unix

export ORACLE_SID = dbname

emctl status dbconsole

If it has not started, you issue the following command

emctl start dbconsole

Use it for Windows

Set oracle_sid = dbname

emctl status dbconsole

If it has not started, you issue the following command

emctl start dbconsole

Also check the console port in $ORACLE_HOME/install/ports.

  • How to configure Enterprise Manager Database Control (MCCD) to make it work on 2 servers (primary and standby) work according to the rules of the DG

    Hello everyone I use Oracle Database EE 11.2.0.4 with DG.

    In these cases, I need to get Enterprise Manager Database Control running against DB with no CARS and no DG I do the following:

    I have SQLPLUS logon as user SYS or SYSTEM and drop the account sysman and business objects:

    DECLARE

    CURSOR c1 IS

    SELECT master, synonym_name name

    OF dba_synonyms

    WHERE table_owner = "SYSMAN";

    BEGIN

    TO r1 c1 LOOP

    IF r1.owner = "PUBLIC" THEN

    RUN IMMEDIATELY "DROP PUBLIC SYNONYM ' |" R1. Name;

    ON THE OTHER

    RUN IMMEDIATELY "DROP SYNONYM ' |" R1. Owner: '. ' || R1. Name;

    END IF;

    END LOOP;

    END;

    /

    Mgmt_view DROP USER CASCADE;

    /

    DROP ROLE mgmt_user;

    /

    Sysman DROP USER CASCADE;

    /

    After that, I run

    EMCA - config dbcontrol db-rest recreate

    But what do I do in case I have 2 servers (primary and standby) work according to the rules of the DG?

    Hello

    It is not possible to monitor and administer a basic physical or logical standby, IE using Enterprise Manager Database Control Data Guard.  This is mainly due to the fact that Database Control is designed to monitor the 1-database and an environment Data Guard, by definition, includes more than 1 database.

    If you attempt to run emca against a database of pending, you will get an error like (i.e. ORA-01219: database is not open).

    Of course, database Control, can be used to monitor the current main database (with no capacity to administer or control Data Guard related features).  In such a case, failover Database Control needs to be reconfigured to run on the new primary database using the commands described in detail in Note 278100.1 how to remove, create and recreate DB Control In A Database, section c. recreate/ReConfig DB control, Option 2 10 g. recreate the control DB Configuration files and repository.

    Enterprise Manager Grid Control or Cloud control provides the functionality for display, monitor, and administer the primary and standby databases in a Data Guard configuration.

    Reference: It is Possible to configure the database for a logical or physical Standby Database command? (Doc ID 315116.1)

    You can effectively use EM 12 c cloud control to monitor and manager ensures DB

    Ref to the link for more details below

    Set up and manage to Oracle Data Guard with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12 c

    Kind regards

  • Creation of Enterprise Manager Database Express 12 c

    Hello

    on 10g or 11g, it was possible to create a control of DB by the following text:

    EMCA - config dbcontrol db-rest create

    Can we do something similar to 12 c for Enterprise Manager Database Express 12 c?

    Thank you and best regards.

    Hi sb92075,

    C:\app\oracle\product\12.1.0\dbhome_1\BIN>EMCA - config dbcontrol db

    'emca' is not a recognized command.

    Thank you.

    Then all the answers can I conclude that it is not possible to build it manually?

  • DBMS_JOBS in Enterprise Manager Database Control?

    There is no way to list all the work done by DBMS_JOBS in Enterprise Manager Database Control? There is a link to it?

    Concerning

    Oracle 10g DBMS_SCHEDULER Planner offers many more features than DBMS_JOB, and like you said DBMS_SCHEDULER is the new alternative of DBMS_JOB in Oracle 11 g, (discouraged but still available).

    In Oracle 10 g, the different between them is that DBMS_SCHEDULER offer privileges and roles specifically for the Planner to increase control over the planning of the work, DBMS_JOB impossible. Both offer a complete integration of job creation and modification in OEM.

    OEM 11g version, uses DBMS_SCHEDULER by default, if you want to use DBMS_JOB, you must manually run from SQL * MORE (for example)

    Valentine's day

    Hello

    I solved the problem by applying the hotfix 16527374.

    Valentine's day

  • 'I want to continue' creation of Enterprise Manager / database of control?

    Greetings. DBA SQL Server, no real experience of Oracle for a long time. So here's the deal:

    I'm trying to start learning a few Oracle on a DEV server to my work. Plan is to go through the tutorial "2 day DBA" as it is usually the recommendation for guys like me. I was able to start Enterpirse Manager for one of our DEV database, but not the one I wanted. So I followed the steps in this link and I'm about to create EM / DB control as long as the link explain. My question is will by doing this, especially if sharing the same House as the existing control of DB path / EM, damage or remove the existing control of DB / EM? Can I have only one at a time? I need to create a new home for each DB path? OK to have several DB control / EM in the same way home?

    Thank you!

    EM is not necessary to start or use any Oracle DB.

    EM can only be configured against a DB (both)

    If you want to manage multiple databases, you must buy & install Grid Control.

  • With Standard Edition database DB from Enterprise Manager management packs.

    Hi all

    As far as I know Enterprise Manager 11g is free to install, but not management pack.
    I want to install 11g Grid control in my environment but I got all my oracle Standard edition databases.
    So my question is that:
    Which one would use one of the following management pack in my Enterprise manager 11g grid control environment?

    Below is the text copied from EM 11 g Documentation

    Enterprise Manager offers the following packs of the Oracle database:

    Pack of diagnostics for the Oracle database.

    Tuning Pack for Oracle Database+.

    Management of change for Oracle Database pack+.

    Configuration Management Pack for the Oracle database.

    Provisioning and Patch Automation Pack for Oracle Database+.

    Hide data Pack for Oracle Database+.

    These management packs can be purchased only with Enterprise Edition. The features of these packs are available through Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control and API provided with the Oracle database software.

    Thank you very much
    Hems

    Not exactly, but you can not register with anything other than Enterprise Edition management packs.

    You can continue to use the Grid control to monitor the availability of database and server and perform tasks to others, but the features available in these management packs (as the 'Performance', or patch management tab and so on) will not work. It still provides a value without these packs.

  • Add the second instance in Enterprise Manager 10g database control

    Hello

    I have a server with an Oracle 10 g database instance and I
    set up local control of Enterprise Manager database for it.
    Now, I added a second instance on the server, using the same Oracle
    Homepage. Can I manage this new instance by using the existing database
    control or I have to configure a control second database help
    another port? The documentation is not too clear on that.

    Thank you
    Matthias

    You must configure another service of control of database for this on the other port.

    Better to use control grid to manage multiple instances.

    Its associated network. Just check if you are able to access the host/port of the PC OEM.

    Audit of DOS command:

    Telnet ip_server 1158

    Also make an entry in hosts (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)file for the server and instead of the IP address, use the host name in the URL.

  • The right of way to access the users Page in Enterprise Manager?

    Using 11 GR 1 material Enterprise Manager Database Control

    I was looking for the instructions in the online help of Enterprise Manager, on how to change a password. The research has about 6 000 hits: big help that was.

    I finally found what I was looking for, BUT...

    I clicked on an entry in the online help which says "expires. Locking and unlocking accounts database". On this page, there are some very nice step-by-step instructions. Step 3 says "Schema click to display the Sub-page of scheme." It worked as expected. Step 4 says "In the section users and privileges, click on users." I studied this subpage of schema and same process to a search page Firefox and there is no section users and privileges anywhere on the subpage of schema. I could only access the page I was looking for because the word "Users" in the online help page is itself a link to the page I was looking for.

    I apologize for the blow of mouth here, but it's really frustrating and...

    OK, ' nough said. What I want to really know is how to get to the page of users without having to evade the online help to find a link that will take me to the page of users. Is there a way reasonably self evident to navigate users to Enterprise Manager Database Control?

    Thank you

    Gregory

    Gregory,

    Although I'm 11.2 running on my laptop but I have not installed EM top. Can you please confirm that looking for the oracle user password change? If so, there will be a Server tab. In this, you should find a link to the user . From there on, a list of users would come, and you can choose your username. Click Edit and change the password.

    That said, I'm not sure if the docs are confusing. In the 2-day DBA guide, I got it immediately.
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e10897/users_secure.htm#CHDJEBDG

    And from there, I don't think it's hard to do what I understand you want to do. If this isn't the case, please be more specific.

    Hello

    I think you're talking about Enterprise Manager Database Control to find the file of portlist.ini consult port located under ORACLE_HOME\install.

    Another way, I guess you are on Windoze:

    set ORACLE_HOME =
    Set ORACLE_SID =

    CD %ORACLE_HOME%\bin
    emctl status dbconsole

    and check the result

    I hope this helps!

  • Oracle 10g Enterprise Manager DB control vs Console Enterprise Manager

    We have a consultant to install Oracle 10 g on Windows platform. Somehow, I see that Enterprise Manager Console installed, and I can use this console to access database. I see that the interfaces are completely different. the console is more like Oracle 9i. I know that the DB control is a web tool, just for Oracle 10 g. My question is in terms of admin, what is the best? Why Oracle has a different tool to manage the database?

    The Oracle Enterprise Manager Console is a stand-alone Java client, not a 3-tier as the Console of DB EM product.

    The stand-alone Java client has been deprecated in gR 10, 1. Probably because not all features were brought to the DB Console at 3 levels (for example: the Spatial index and the management of the workspace management), Oracle decided to let us use the Java Console as an additional installation on the customer/partner drive. However, it is no longer available to go ahead in 11g.

    If you look carefully at the "Console", you won't be that some areas are more functional and it covers all the capabilities of 10g, for example in partitioning and indexing.

  • Configure Enterprise Manager in Oracle Database 11g

    Dear all,

    I want to configure my Enterprise Manager Console for Oracle Database 11g. During installation I unchecked "configure EM Console."

    I have Oracle Red Hat Linux 6.5, please guide me how can I start my console em on the Linux environment.

    Kind regards

    Hello

    If you want to create or configure Enterprise Manager console, follow these steps:

    • Set ORACLE_HOME environment variable
    • Set ORACLE_SID
    • ORACLE_HOSTNAME environment variable set. Use the same value returned by the command "hostname".
    • Run the emca (Enterprise Manager Configuration Assistant).

    $ emca - create config dbcontrol db-rest

    • Follow the instructions.

    Kind regards.

  • recommended location for the installation of Enterprise Manager 13 c, my client pc or the database server?

    Hi all

    I want to install Oracle enterprise manager 13 c on oracle 12 c Enterprise edition.

    What is the recommended way to install EM? install on my client or install on the database server itself?

    Please guide me.

    Thank you.

    Really, neither.   If you talk about the broad company EM Cloud Control (12 or 13), it requires adequate resources and must be installed on a server, no cell phones.  Unless you are looking just to play - you can then consult the virtual images available Oracle VM Templates.   It has also not recommended to run it on the same servers that you are monitoring.

    How many targets you track / manage with the system?  If it is a unique environment, the Express EM version may be bettter, where you boot agent on the database server and manage most of the functions of the server.   If you have more than one or two databases, Cloud Control is the best, but it requires little equipment. Sizing of information can be found in the docs - https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E63000_01/EMBSC/preinstall_req_hw.htm#EMBSC121
