• Tungsten E2: Note limit entry of characters? Where Applications preferences?

  I have starting problems with my Palm Tungsten E2.  I tried to search a faq, to see if my problems were addressed with the existence, but could not find.  So I'll try here.
  (1) I do not understand is what sync.  Looks like it transfers files between your handheld and computer.  If so the I can see that it would be useful, but I am concerned not with that now, I must get the Pocket working first.  I did, however, download Palm desktop on my Mac and have used Bluetooth, so that the mac and your handheld knows each other names.  Maybe it will work when I try to sync.
  (2) my pocket computer to turn itself to I would leave it alone for a few minutes, but now there just on indefinitely.  I can manually turn off, but it will not turn off.  I read in the user manual you can go to applications, then go to Preferences, where you can select the TURN-OFF commands.  But I can't find the preferences anywhere in the Applications.
  (3) I tried writing in the Note at the same time the keyboard onscreen and with graffiti.  In no case enter more than about 15 to 20 characters.  After that it just won't take any longer.  When I try to write on the screen on the fly the characters are so screwed up that I can't tell what I wrote.  No doubt with the practice, I could learn to write Freehand, but as a beginner, it's embarrassing.  Is there a way to work around the limitation on the number of characters that note will accept?

  Yes, the title to the "Notepad" application is limited.  This app is designed to look like a post-it note, just a quick Scribble.   The memo app is more like a simple text editor.  This can use Graffitti to the entrance and can be synced to your computer.

  Palm has included a copy of 'Documents To Go' on each installation disc.  This was a suite of programs similar to MicroSoft Office and added capability of Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

  It doesn't sound like you have made a successful HotSync.  The contacts should appear in the 'Address' of Palm Desktop section.  The file created is not the one who is supposed to be 'open' in the usual sense.  It's just a support for Palm Desktop file.

  In both Palm Desktop and HotSync app on the device is the access to the 'register '.  The HotSync log is a record of what occurred during the HotSync operation.  You can visualize this in order to better understand as to what went wrong, if anything.

• Will not record voice memos

  I need a little help with my dictaphone, I use an iPhone 5. Whenever I try to save my phone detects just to the touch when the record button is hit & unregisters immediately. It was restored from the back upwards to another iPhone that saves notes of worry-free service.

  I see that, when you try to record a voice memo, your iPhone detects the touch when you press the record button, but unregisters it immediately. It's certainly something that I wouldn't have to happen. I want to assure you that you can record your voice memos with no problems. There are a few things I would like you to try.

  First of all, let us ensure that applications running in standby mode are not causing problems when you try to save. Please use the resource in the following article to close all applications on your iPhone:

  Force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  Then, use the following article to give your iPhone a fresh reboot:

  Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  And finally, once that you have restarted, please test by recording a voice memo and see if it unregisters immediately as before.

• Clear applications open at the same time?

  Whenever I click on the series of the x button to close the open application, I always wonder "there must be a better way to do it", and again, I have not yet found an answer. It seems to be easy to have an option to close all tabs/applications open rather than close individually. If there is a way to do it now and somehow, I missed the memo, please let me know.

  There is no way to close all the applications at the same time.

  There is no X type to close iOS applications 9. You double click on the "home" button and the shot upward on the Preview app window to close the application. You can close many at a time as long as you can get your fingers on two or more preview windows but this is difficult to do on any iPhone except the iPhone 6 and later versions.

  I know you have heard this before, but there is no need to close applications based on you worry about the concerns of its use or battery memory. IOS handles all this on its own. He said that having to open applications from scratch using more RAM and battery power than leaving suspended in the App selector.

• Could not create the voice memo

  I just got iphone 6s and restored the backup of my old iphone 4 s. any transfer of property, it works well. but when I opened the voice memo, I see this message: "unable to create the voice memo": "there was a problem creating the application resources. make room by removing existing videos from photos. I don't see any what dictaphone here and I can't make one. all of them are in my computer so it's ok, but I want to be able to make new ones.

  Try these standard troubleshooting steps.

  Reset: hold the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10 to 20 seconds).

• Voive Memo app does not start upon transfer to the new phone

  I transferred the contents of an iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 (32 GB, iOS 9.3.2) Asia via iTunes on my PC. Everything else seems to work OK, but when I try to run the voice memo application a window opens with the heading "Cannot create voice memo" and stating "there was a problem creating the application resources. Make space by deleting photos or existing videos. The only option in the window is to click 'OK', which closes the application. So I deleted about 5 GB of videos/pictures, but the problem persists. I tried to remove and re - install the app, but it's an Apple that cannot be deleted (without "x" on the icon jiggling when you try the deletion thing).

  Under the window, it says also "no record", but I got 9 records on the old phone. I would like to get the records transferred.

  You cannot delete the built-in apps.

  Try to restore as new and then synchronize your content manually back.

• Cannot use memo on 7th Gen Nano with PowerBeats2 wireless?

  Hey I just got a new 7th gen iPod Nano and I saw the voice memo app appear when I have a pair of Apple headphones with microphone attached.  But the application does not open using my dear Apple owned by Dr. Dre PowerBeats2 wireless with MIC headphones.  Doesn't seem fair.  I should have this ability.  Anyone know?

  iPod nano isn't a phone, so I don't think not that input microphone is supported via a Bluetooth connection.  The Apple headphones microphone works because it's a cable into the headphone connection.

• iPhone'S will not record voice memos

  Hello! My new iPhone IS will not record voice memos. I can open the app very well, but when I press the record button it shakes just for a moment and then stops.

  The software is up-to-date (iOS 9.3.1), storage seems adequate (6.0 GB used, 5.6 GB available), MIC works fine in other applications (voice control, camera), so I'm not sure what the issue could be.

  Try a forced reboot - after open applications using the app Chooser - invoked by fast double pressing the home button and drag upwards on each app until it disappears from the screen.

  Meet the sleep/wake and home buttons down until you see the logo  - then release and allow normal start upward

  If this does not work

  Please take a genius appointment at an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

• Duplicate the application in the "open with" context menu

  On my iMac, the last OS X El Capitan.

  For an example, so I mediainfo application on the app store and it works fine, no problem.

  What happens if I go to a video rile, do a right-click, open with... There mediainfo twice, optionally including a version and the other a newer version if instead of upgrading to the new version of its kept the two versions?

  So I look under 'Applications' and that is only once not twice.

  I click and hold the icon for mediainfo in launchpad, it wiggles, I press x to delete it form party launchpad and its applications in the finder.

  But there must be somewhere because he is always right click on the menu 'Open with' and it actually load the program if you choose somehow even if it isn't the disk hard mac! ?.

  I did a search and don't see you mediainfo application anywhere on the disc hard mac.

  I have a copy of super duper of my HDD on an external hard drive that probably the application it but can it really be getting the external application and adding it to "open with" menu and launch the application from the external hard drive? If yes then this is not cool...

  I also noticed right on a PDF right-click, open with Watch 2 entrances of Safari 2 on iBooks, google chrome 2, all are an old version and one is a more recent version, where could he be getting from and the addition in the menu "open with?"

  If it is picking up my applications folder on the external drive backup and using that in the open with menu and launch the application from the external backup then it is really bad, it should only be launched from applications to disk hard mac shouldn't it?

  I upgraded to Windows 10 and downloaded and installed 6.2.2. When I run it I can't see Memo Pad or a way to import. What I am doing wrong?

  I have a setup similar (Win10, Palm Desktop 6.2.2) and see the notes of service very good.

  Right-click on the column with all the icons (Date, address, etc.), then choose "Customize".

  See if memos somehow got unchecked.

  Also, be sure to try opening the application by right-clicking the shortcut to Palm Desktop, then choose "Run as Administrator".  Make sure that the data is displayed.

• Centro memos does not start

  I always use a Palm Centro.  I had a memo open and accidentally launched hot Synch when I was not connected to the cable.  I kept trying to cancel to make a phone call emergency and finally removed the battery to reboot the device.

  Now every time I try to launch memos the unit stops and restarts.  I can open other memos of a search, but when I try to reopen the memo that opened the unit also turns off and restarts.

  All other applications work.

  I have synced all records of memo on the desk and none are corrupt.

  How can I get the memos works correctly?

  If you are sure that the memos on the desk are all readable, force to replace your existing memos on the phone by changing the parameters of conduct for memos to "Desktop replaces the handheld computer."

  Do not click on "Set as default" since you want that doesn't happen only once.

• Siri c. storage of voice memo

  What is the IOS Voice Memo app linked to Siri? There, I guess I mean, is voice memo data captured and stored in the same way that Siri controls are? I am researching this question with respect to the security and legal protection of confidential memos.

  Voice memos are not stored on the Apple servers. They are stored locally on the phone. If you save iCloud, they are stored. If you send them anywhere via the application Messages or e-mail, they, like everything else you send through the internet, are probably stored somewhere. But no, Apple has no reason to be interested in your voice memos. Siri is stored because it allows to improve the functioning of Siri.

• memo record while driving

  I listen to podcasts on my iPhone 5 (ios9) while driving. several times a week an idea, key word important... etc comes into my mind and I don't want to miss this. How can I record (voice) without pulling over and recording?

  I have a headset Bluetooth (model LG HBS-900).

  If your headset work Siri, you should be able to invoke Siri by tapping a key on the headset. You can then say ' Siri, take a memo. You will then be able to dictate a note that will be displayed in the Notes application.

  I have never tried to use Siri to make a voice memo that I do not use those. However, you can certainly experiment to see if you can do something similar.

• HELP function - new VI doesn't seem to work in built Application

  My Application is designed to coordinate several separate test (16) of control stations. Test stations can operate independently. I have a Test Manager application that starts the execution independently Test Runner live when the user has selected a test to be performed and the conditions to run with. There may be 0 to 16 Test Runner screws running at any given time. Each Test Runner VI uses the same model code of Test Runner.VI but is given a unique name based on a randomly generated GUID. I use a sequence of the function again, VI, VI. FP. Open and VI. Run VI to create the VI based on the template, give it a unique name and then launch it to run independently. Fragment JPG see attached.

  This design works perfectly well when it is used in the LabView 2010 development environment. But it does not work when I build the Test Manager as an EXE application. There is no errors generated, but the new VI is not launched, and I think that one of the functions of the sequence never returns. I don't know if the new VI is created or not.

  Does anyone know how to change this option so that the screws news can be created, unique, named and launched, it will work properly, regardless of if the creation VI runs either development (for debugging) or as a built application?

  Because of the sequence of the new VI, VI. FP. Open and VI. Pass the VI when used in a built application? Is there another method that will strive to meet this need?

  'New VI' is scripting.  It is blue. Scripting is explicitly not accessible at run time.

  what you want is 'Open VI référence' on a VI that is configured for the execution of reentry, with appropriate options defined in the properties of the VI and wired at the entrance to the REF VI open node Options (you want to 0x08 to returning with placeholders for data).  You can use a .lives, but this is not what they are for.

  Take the time to read the help file for reference VI open, it'll be worth it.

  Use the method fp.open, not property.

  "Auto has Ref" = true acts more like a standard VI call: LV will automatically close the ref when the called VI is idle.
