ENVY 15-AH151sa laptop: why HP ePrint and EDGE resumed my impression.

I rejected on BOARD and have IE11 as my default. Someone just sent me a legal document very important which has diverted the EDGE. The consultation, it does not show an option "Save/Save as" then I hit Print. Upward came this:

No no no idea of ePrint I registered, I think - I received an email with a PIN code and used that, but it would not always not to print. I checked my control panel and found that HPePrint is now my default printer: I changed it to my Brother printer but it will not yet printed.

What is HPePrint and why he is in bed with EDGE?

and I can safely remove ePrint/unsubscribe? How, please?

Hi there @Taffy0872014,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff. I understand that you have a problem with HP Eprint. I'll be happy to help you.

HP Eprint is a cloud printing option if you have a HP e-printer.  You can simply go on the device and printer and remove if you do not have an HP e-printer.

You can just go into devices and printers and delete the e-print, if you do not have an HP e printer.

Please keep me informed of the progress of things.

If you need help, let me know and I will gladly make all that I can to help you.

Please let me know if that solves the problem by marking this post as "accept as a Solution.

Taffy, I got what you ask.

Want to see what other drivers need to be updated. You do not mention that one that you have already installed but.

You have installed the HP Scan to see if your drivers are all up to date, but the analysis fails every time.

Well, join the club. She does it for me too.

The driver HP scanner is bug sometimes and does not always work correctly.

It recognizes some of my products, like the bad model and fails.

You can check the drivers manually but... as the saying goes, ""If it isn't broken, don't fix it".

If your new windows 10 laptop is not working properly, won't change anything.

You did that you need to update, so that a specific matter that fixed you. You're good to go.

This applies in particular to the Bios. Do not update that unless you really have a problem.

Windows 10 will automatically update as needed in most of the other pilots.

Maybe it's not the opinion that you were missing, but I hope that it will offer some relief to determine if you need to update everything.

  • Laptop HP ENVY 15-AH151sa: updated my new laptop Win10

According to my HP Support Assistant earlier today, there was no updates that I need to install but then I had an interesting development.

I accidentally clicked on my desk and saw a menu here. At the top was a link to AMD Catalyst Control Center, and from there, I updated my driver AMD. Move the screen now appears to be much better and I have more problems with my cursor is jumping around.

    The disadvantages are

    (1) I think that it has installed software to follow me and sent me things I don't want - ads, etc. There are plenty of games AMD announcements. I had to click "send me your stuff ' to continue the installation.

    (2) it has installed a program called M that WinPatrol alerted me. I had to accept such would not continue with the installation.

    (3) it installed MS Visual C++ 2013. I always leave MS comes out / update these. I can't understand why the AMD has installed and wonder if the next MU will change.

So my question is why HP say does not need to update anything?

I think this reinforces my another question here

    @Albert5

The question of the hinge on the Evny of HP is well known to HP, and yet they refuse to do much, if anything, to this subject.  If you are in warranty, they will typically set for free, no questions asked.  Out of warranty, however, it's like a completely different society.  They will be responsible of very varying amounts, from $130 to $300 to fix their own design flaw.   Here is a link to a long thread that I started to update others on the issue and my relationship with HP:

  • HP ENVY 17-N078CA laptop: seeking the machine with windows 8.1 - and the upgrade to 10.

    Hi all

I am looking at buying a machine to re-furb.

    HP ENVY 17-N078CA laptop

The machine has windows 8.1 and I wanted to know if there was problems with upgrade to windows 10.

    edillard

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about upgrading your PC to Win10 and wanted to help.

While HP has not tested your PC with Win10 and has not certified it will work, the good news is that HP does not provide drivers for your PC Win10: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-17-n000-notebook-pc-touch/7777355/model/8429748#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2

If this page does not display the windows 10 when you open it, then click Edit and select Windows 10 in the menu drop-down.

Unfortunately, the Win10 GoBack function is NOT reliable, and that can leave you with a corrupt machine that will require the factory reset and lose all that on it, to get it working again.

You can avoid this by making an image backup to an external hard drive or a USB drive using Macrium reflect (MR), which provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Good luck

  • Envy 15 computer laptop k000nx - we haven't found devices wireless on this pc

    Hi all

I have a problem with my devices wireless on my Hp envy 15 computer laptop k000nx - 8.1 Windows

I tryied many ways to activate the network wireless by reinstalling the drivers from the hp site and disable airplane mode.

even when I use the Troubleshoot utility he sees only the cable problem.

but there is no sign of my wireless or bluetooth, they're just gone.

and here are some pictures for my problem...

    Hello:

I agree that devices are not present and do not need drivers.

I recommend that you contact HP technical support and file a case under the guarantee pension.

The wireless and bluetooth are on the same removable wireless card and her card is defective or not properly seated.

I would have recommended you remove and reinsert the card, but the service manual for your model indicates that this procedure is possible only by an authorized service center.

I can see why you have to disassemble basically the whole notebook just to get on the wireless card.

  • HP Envy X 360 laptop USB 3.0 transfer speeds

Hello.  I have envy of HP X 360 with an Intel i5 in it.

I also bought a Seagate USB 3.0 portable hard drive.

I only get speeds between 20-30 MB/s between them.

    Why?

And Yes, the drive is plugged into one of the two USB 3.0 ports.

    Hello @wvcadle ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are concerned at the speed of read/write of the USB 3.0 ports on your laptop.

The features of a Protocol do not indicate the typical real return. The maximum speed of USB 3.0 is 5 Gbps (gigabits per second) which translates to 640 Mbps (megabytes per second).

Note that B and b are very different by a factor of eight and lead to very different figures and are a huge complaint among people, the resolution of the speed problems.

That said, these specs: 640 Mbit/s is the maximum possible speed of technology and does not reflect in some way the speed you will actually live. Many things will slow down the speed of read/write of your computer. Process running on the laptop, CPU capacity, RAM speed, speed (rpm or SSD and lens travel speeds), or the size of the transferred file. The mechanical controls that operate at 7200 RPM (5400 is used) generally have a flow of some 80 to 100 Mbps.

Basically what I'm saying here is to take a car that can only go 55 mph, won't go faster if you drive on a street with a higher speed limit. (Sorry if this analogy comes off rude. "I want to ensure that the point is clear to some of the less technical than reading the forums).

When the protocols are created, they are written with capabilities in futuristic mind. It's a bit misleading to consumers because they expect these kinds of speeds when devices don't support even them yet, only the theoretical Protocol done.

Another important factor is if the unit is powered by or not USB. Peripheral USB powered generally operate at a slower speed than with their own dedicated power devices.

If you look at the reading and writing speed of most of the USB 3.0 devices, you will find that the real device (not port) tops out at about 100 Mbps, which even then still will provide not a speed of 100 Mbit/s in most cases once you take into account other variables posted previously.

Here's a good graphical representation what I mean for the peripheral communes.

If you want more information on USB 3.0 from one more credible source other than little ' ol read me this article published by PC Mag: USB 3.0 Tested: how fast is it in the real world? It is a bit outdated, but the same concepts apply today. Don't forget no USB 3.0 has been standardized in 2008, and this article was written in 2010. A lot of time for builders to get on board and do things together.

So the question is: what we do about it?

    1. Make sure you have a USB 3.0 cable connecting a player to the laptop.
    2. Make sure that the 3.0 drivers are installed from here: HP - drivers & downloads or the Intel Web site.
    3. Make sure controller xHCI is enabled in the BIOS and the BIOS is updated. (Access the BIOS via tapping F10 at startup.)
    4. A clean boot of Windows allows to eliminate the process and background services.

I hope that this information gives an overview of the problem. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have windows 7. 64 bit. I noticed that the laptop gets very hot and the fan makes noise. Try to solve this problem I went the HPSA. It shows that I have no update necessary; However when I go to the HP site and I ask him to identify my system it shows a lot of updates pending. This is why I need help with 2 questions, one the heat generated and the second on the updates. I also checked, and it shows that I have the latest version of the Support Assistant. The updates are all from 2016 and 2 refer to the BIOS.

I'm not well informed on the issues, any help will be appreciated

The update of the BIOS F.26 is important because of security concerns. The change log States:

'Provides security improved for UEFI EDK2

HP strongly recommends transition immediately to this BIOS update. »

It will not hurt to delete the sp66805 folder. I suggested it because it confuses you with the process of downloading/installation asking you to replace it.

You could try to change of name, it will probably work.
