• Problem with Printer Color LaserJet 2600n of printing. Thin strips Magenta on the printed Pages

  I have a Color LaserJet 2600n, on which I replaced both magenta and yellow cartridges a week ago. Both cartridges are genuine HP. The printer cleaned and calibrated.

  Today, the thin magenta strips about 3 "apart began to appear on my printed pages. Print pages, but there is a 'click' stable, audible about 2 seconds apart from from the inside of the printer. Even after a cleaning several times, the bands are less bright, but they are still there. They also appear on the printed test page and on the page of troubleshooting print quality.   I have a Color LaserJet 2600n and I have a duplex manual problems

  I've updated my WinXP OS and the manual duplex feature does more (System with OS Win7 system with x 64 and x 64 win8.1)
  in win XP, I selected the manual duplex function. the system brings up the dialog box with the instructions to do so (for example: press 'V' on the printing Panel when ready)
  WinXP worked perfectly

  Win7 x 64 print all pages of one after another (the system does appear in the dialog box with the instructions to do but do not work)

  WIN8.1 x 64 does not allow me to choose the manual duplex function and I need print the odd pages before even-numbered pages.

  I can solve this problem?
  I can print with the manual two-sided dialog box and how to enable this feature?

  It is perhaps a silly question for Hp, but it is so important for my work and my research

• Color LaserJet 2600n: uneven printing CLJ 2600n

  I recently had an opportunity Color LaserJet 2600n and inside it was a MESS! I have it cleaned and replaced all four cartridges of toner with new HP OEM units and it is printing enough now. But, if you look at the thescan of the page supplies below you can see two of the colors fade out as it goes further to the left (yellow and Magenta).

  I went through the service manual and can not see any sort of adjustment for cartridges of toner, ETB or merger. I know that old need to replace toner cartridges (I think they used a type of charging service since two of them were on the run and one was a brand of Office Depot).

  I'm really not only to replace the parts in the hope he can fix it. Someone has an idea if it is a question EBT or fusion? Perhaps another part or adjustment?

  Larry, this is a known issue with the scanner Assembly laser. The good news for you is that it can be fixed by cleaning, but there are some necessary disassembly. You should be able to find instructions online to document the process to disassemble the printer, removing laser Assembly, cleaning of optics in it.

  I did once and it was relatively easy, but you don't need a little space to put parts on and little patience.

• Power failure during the update of firmware for Color LaserJet 2600n

  Just in the middle of the update the firmware for my Color LaserJet 2600n, the power is out. Now I can't get anything to happen on the printer. The screen, or the power lights and the error light, but it does not work when the power is put on. I think that he wiped the previous firmware and either had not started or has been along the way in writing the new info. Is it possible that I can cancel it and reload the original firmware? It hangs on my MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.8. The only thing that the instructions seriously cautioned against a interrupt the installation.   Able to understand me. Has proved to be quite simple. Powered off the printer and turn it back on and represented the firmware upgrade program. The printer didn't restart automatically, so I had to power off and wait 5 seconds before feeding this back. Once he recalibrated itself (which takes several minutes), I was in business.

• Snow Leopard and HP Color laserjet 2600n

  Does intend to write a new driver for the HP Color laserjet 2600n HP? I own this camera and can not use it because I upgraded my os to snow leopard.

  I reinstalled the driver on the site of HP, dated 2007 I believe.  My 2600 is connected through a router.  He recognized the printer and find the correct IP address.  It executes and prints correctly, just does not show supplies, i.e. the ink levels, but it prints again.

• HP Color LaserJet 2600n: CLJ 2600n vertically moving the color

  A few days ago my 2600n has begun to move the magenta 1 mm lower than the rest of the colors.
  It has been recalibraited several times without solving the problem. I said, that the photoconducter (?) is not working properly, and I might as well buy a new printer. That it cannot be corrected.

  The photoconductor unit is part of the cartridge, and there's a chance that it's actually a cartridge problem.

  Its more common to have a problem with magenta fade where magenta is lighter on one side of the page to the other.

  If you are printing a magenta Strip goes from left to right on the page there is a consistent density?

  For some reason, my printer is not printing color well. Printed black letters are fine, but if there are pictures associated with the print, they come out black. I did a test print and the Red was very low. Red cartridge has been reviewed and was going well, with a lot of ink.

  Well, could not download pic. Ordered new red ink cartridge. He came and before I could load, I noted the printed colors have now were terrific. I don't know what has changed and why this happened. I'm just glad that he did. Thanks for your help.

  I am runnng meanings on windows vista. Re stimuli of print quality problems. The manual recommends the fuser unit and the cleaning of the engine using the HP Toolbox. However the Vista operating system does not support the Toolbox.

  The user guide it is a link to a page that is supposed to give information to users with no Toolbox. However, the link is dead.

  Please can someone advise: How can I do a clean oven or a clean engine.

  Dear Forum

  Although the printer will make all different 'demo' pages that are asked when trying to send a print job from the PC, nothing happens. Nothing is displayed. There is no data sent to the printer; Nothing written on the printer at all actually.

  I do not know that the correct driver is installed because when I attach another identical printer and try to print it does not work then.

  Please, anyone could advise what could be the problem here.

  I checked HP to see if they have a Windows 8 driver for Laserjet 2600n printers. I guess I will be not print Windows 8 Pro. Good grief!

  POST SCRIPTUM: Geez, what a complete dummy I believe me there is no specific driver for Windows 8, and so I could not print. It is not a print device 2600n in the list of installed printers so I closed that and downloaded the complete installation of Windows 7 and who ran instead. It finds my network printer and the driver installed and all is right with the world now

  I'll share what has worked for me.

  I did what you suggested and ran / install the driver that I downloaded earlier this year for my Windows 7 computer to my new computer Windows 8.1. Did not work.

  I decided to print text from Word Perfect Office X 6 (the best processor around IMO). When I went to print, the "print" button was greyed out, which means that it will not print. So, I clicked on the button "Printers" in the dialog box print of WordPerfect. The list provides, I then used the right click button to open the 'properties' for Laserjet 2600n printers.

  I selected the tab "Advanced" and then clicked on the button that says "New driver" (I had tried everything else for the last few weeks, that I could lose in trying something new?). This opens a printer driver Wizard that finds the driver first to your choosing the name of the manufacturer - HP-, then the driver. I had already tried the driver "HP Color LaserJet 2600n", and noticed there's a new there just below: "HP Color LaserJet 2600n class driver.

  I've selected this driver and let the Wizard do its thing. I'm now able to print my WordPerfect and 8.1 Windows Photo Viewer. I'm going to assume that I can print from other things because these two programs are those that I had problems printing from.

  This laser model was for XP. There is limited support driver for WIN7.

  Just click on the link, select either the WIN7 32-bit or 64-bit and read the support documents to understand how to install it.
