Envy 17: No driver

I uninstalled Windows 8 and installed Windows 7. No pilot remained on the computer. It does not recognize anything in the USB port, I can't get online. I tried to install the drivers by burning on a DVD, which I was somewhat able to do it, but no improvement in the situation. I can't distinguish even what kind of network card I have. I don't want to hold a store if I can't, but I spent too much on this thing does not work. Please help me.

Hello:

You should be able to use all the W7 x 64 drivers and the software of the 17 t-j100, except the BIOS and firmware files.

http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-envy-17t-J100-Select-Edition-Notebook-PC-series/6521533/model/6521534

Your model uses the wireless driver, which is not on the support page of 17 t - j100.  Download and install the second pilot on the list (W7 x 64):

https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/24652/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-software-and-drivers-for-Windows-7-

You also need the bluetooth driver for this model of the wireless card.

https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/24847/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-software-for-Bluetooth-technology-for-Windows-7-64-bit-WP-

Looking at the chart and the wireless card is your laptop, if you are interested in the screen of your laptop to your TV smart of mirroring, you can look in this post, after receiving all this work.

I was able to get my new HP 350 G1 to the mirror of the screen by running the utility of updated widi.

    Hello

I bought a brand new Envy 17 K205nl a few days ago and downgraded to windows 7 SP1 x 64 (cloned my old HDD, since I haven't the time to reinstall everything)

I managed to install all the drivers properly, but I now have 2 things missing:

-Audio work but no Beats Audio and speakers are very weak without it...

    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_10EC & DEV_0290 & SUBSYS_103C229D & REV_1000 and

    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_8086 & DEV_2808 & SUBSYS_80860101 & REV_1000 (why I have 2 sound cards, audio bt + Nvidia audio?)

-Function buttons (they do not work properly, but I have no GUI and my bright orange F6 Mute button lights when you press on)

Thanks in advance for any help!

p.s. This page: http://support.hp.com/it-it/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-17-Notebook-PC-series/7527536/model/7633630#... shows no driver/software for my laptop, for the two windows 7 or 8.

    Thank you for the update!

For more information, the HP System Event (sp71156) utility works also under windows 7. My button mute is now illuminated pressed orange, but still no GUI with the exception of the FN + ESC which displays now system information correctly.

Installs the audio software (sp69618) and now I get the Panel audio beats up & running as well as the key FN + B.

    Extra:

Setup HP Coolsense gives an error during installation, may be missing some required software but I don't have any additional info.

Have you tried to insert recovery discs?

Did you create recovery discs before reformat you the hard drive?

When reformatting a hard drive, it takes the operating system and everything related to it off the hard drive. That being said, in order to re - install the operating system and all of its essential drivers, you need Recovery CD or a USB stick recovery. If you have not done one for the laptop, you can follow the document 'getting HP Recovery disks or year HP USB Recovery Drive' .

  • Envy 17: Controller driver of storage for disk SATA 4 to

    Hello

I can't the initialization of a new 4 TB SATA (Seagate Barracuda 3.5 ") drive. I connect to my HP Envy 17 (Windows 7 64-bit) via a USB 3.0 drive hard dock for purposes of backup only. Initialized using GPT, but nevertheless he refuses to show the true volume of the new HARD drive and the system keeps recognizing him as a GB 1677,9 disk.

I read a little about this issue online and guess that only the volume above 2.2 to is detected but that he couldn't find a solution anywhere and Seagate does not offer one or the other. Have tried to update the driver for this disk (Microsoft driver version 6.1.7600.16385; driver date 21/06/2006) but the system tells me that this driver is up to date.

Thanks for all your tips and advice!

    KrisD

    Hello

Check with the manufacturer of the external USB docking station and ensure that it takes care of 4 TB hard drives.

Otherwise, open the window RUN (Admin) and try the following:

    DiskPart

    list disk

Select disk x---> x is equal to the target disk

    clean

    output

Now, unplug the USB and plug it in again.  You should get a prompt to format and initialize the GPT to choose HD and assign a drive letter and label.

  • Envy 15: Envy 15 two drives?

    Hi all

I just ordered a custom envy 15 and I was wondering if this model has been able to accommodate 2 hard drives as my old DV7 17 inches. The computer was shipped with a mechanical drive of 1 TB and I tried to buy a SSD but didn't know if I could use a smaller for system files and keep the mechanical drive for the media. Initially, I wanted to install an mSATA SSD, but it seems that the feature has been removed in newer models. The product in issue is of # L8C63AV_1.

    Thank you!

    Dan

    Dan,

See Page 2 of this manual:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04510889

No configuration double hard drive for HP ENVY 15 models.

However if you like you could replace optical drive with disk using a cart like this and use it to store data only, while you start from the primary SSD. You may also like to swap the façade of the old optical disc to good installation issue:
    https://www.jacobsparts.com/items/HDDBAY-02/

Hope you know, work on replacing the hard drive is very hectic: 63, 64 in the Manual Page & he'll cancel guaranteed if something goes wrong eventually for this important disassembly yourself.

  • 4 1002-tx envy: Envy 4 hard drive failure

    Hello world

I have a HP ENVY 4 1002 - tx Ultrabook (Intel core i5, ssd of 32 GB, Windows 7, out of warranty) which failed the Test of break-in and of another diaognostic HP tests. The result - HDD smart check fails and gives a long fault code. I took a backup and reformatted PC to factory settings, but the problem is still there. I browsed the HP forum and looked at a few responses and guess I have to change my drive hard as the best possible solution (even if it's at work, but the HARD drive may stop working at any time). I would like to know:

    1. what HARD drive (HDD) should I replace with as I have currently Hitachi 500 GB 5400 RPM? Should I go with the same brand, or there are other good options. In addition, this time I would go for 1 TB HARD drive

    2. when I was looking for new HARD drive on the web I found there are different dimensions 1.8 "or 2.5" HDD ", size of the cache, SATA or PATA. That look is this laptop?

    3. Finally, it is easy to change the HARD drive on your own because it is a ultrabook or should I go to a repair shop

    Thank you

    Sahil

The replacement hard drive is actually not so difficult. Remove the back cover and you will have access to all internal components. Even the motherboard is fairly easy to replace. Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

See p. 37. The real question you'll encounter is cache 32 gig WSSD accelerator and the fact that the storage is in RAID mode. Reloading of an operating system on the new drive is a little awkward and get the "acceleration" of work is also a bit more difficult than the normal software installation. You have a HP recovery disk?

To answer the other question, you can use any 2.5 inches wide 7 mm thickness SATA HDD to. It is a "superslim" configuration and is readily available, but be careful not to get the type of 9.5 mm thicker. The 32 gig WSSD provides quick access to start and the program, you can get without a SSD drive. I would get a 1 TB drive, like this:

    http://www.Amazon.com/1TB-7200rpm-32MB-7MM-SATA/DP/B00IEY4KVY/ref=sr_1_5?s=PC&ie=UTF8&QID=1461594199&SR=1-5&keywords=1+TB+7mm+RPM+laptop

  • HP Envy 15 Display Driver crashing into some games

    Hello

Since I bought the HP Envy 15, I had problems with the AMD display driver. First of all, I went to fixed graphics in the bios. When I use the AMD GPU, I have random crashes while playing a few games (only tested Minecraft that runs on Java). I have the latest version 64 bit java, so this isn't the cause of this problem. Accidents appear at random times with no errors except the bubble "AMD display driver crashed and successfully recovered" to appear at the bottom right. When the driver crashes, I have to restart all programs that use the GPU because they do not work properly unless I have restart them. I have already discussed this problem with the HP Instant Support (Chat ID: 39947114) and I was told that the R & D of HP will be notified to soon release an update of the driver. I don't know if the R & D was notified or if the driver is going to get an update. If all goes well, there is a solution to this problem.

  • Monitor for laptop HP ENVY 17-j053ea driver

Hello, I recently had my screen replaced because of a crack, but the driver that he was replaced at a base in the process, limiting my screen resolution at a fraction of what he is capable of.

My laptop is a HP ENVY 17 - j053ea Notebook PC that runs windows 64 bits 8.1

I was wondering if someone can direct me to a place where I can find the driver that came with the laptop.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello:

There is no such thing as a monitor driver for all HP laptops I have ever been.

They all appear as P & P monitors.

There are different screens with different resolutions.

I have to imagine that your screen has been replaced by one of a lower resolution.

For example: this desire 17j has the same resolution of 1600 x 900 your monitor has been replaced by.

I contact HP technical support, report the problem and that the case is resolved.

Just bought a 17-J184 Envy and the need to find the HP driver page.  As a developer, I'd rather have a completely clean install.  Driver Genius has done its work very well, but it was missing the drivers for the fingerprint reader.

While searching for this I'm greeted by a message as follows

HP could not find the page you want. Please review the information below to get support for your product.

Nowhere can I find what I need.

Any ideas?  I thought with a premium product id HP would at least ensure that their support pages are running.

    My apologies for jumping in...

It is an assumption - page of your driver does not seem to be absent and no device information, it is more difficult to assess the exact needs.

The following will work for the Eagle Validity Sensor as described below:

    1. The pilot controls the fingerprint reader.
    2. You will need the HP SimplePass program to interface with the fingerprint reader.

Probably your system came with, or would be expected to run, the last of the series 8 HP SimplePass program.

You will find the link to the latest version of the program series 8 HP SimplePass in this document:

The hard drive is a Samsung HM640JJ which is obsolete.  Anyone know what I need to do...?

    Thank you very much...

    Hello Stephen,

In this case, may be your best option to create an Image of your existing installation system and store it on a HARD drive external - that can then be loaded on the new drive and your machine will be in the exact same condition as it was when the image was created.

There is a good guide on creating it on the following link - start to the subtopic 'An Option'.

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/8956-system-image-create-Windows-8-a.html

At the end of the process, be sure to create the 'system repair disc'.

When the drive has been replaced, you can then boot from the repair disk and reload this Image to the new drive - the procedure is detailed in the guide on the following link.

    Thanks in advance!

What I did during this time, I have installed the driver audio HP 64 bit. Guess what, it works! inclusive Beats...

This will probably work better on a 64-bit Windows 7 but sinus computer I'm not a DJ, it works well enough for me
