EOP printer redirection fails in vWorkspace 8

Hi again,

Test vWorkspace 8, I find some problems with EOP redirected printers. Assigned by the broker network printers work, but I can't get local printers redirected with EOP. Same config and models that previously work in vWorkspace 7.6.

Any ideas?

Hello

We found that this hotfix resolves this problem.

Thank you.

  • EOP print server

I installed the print server role EOP on a Windows 2012 R2 Print Server. When I try to add printers EOP in vWorkspace management console, I get to the point where you add the EOP printer and select it network printer is displayed with just the Microsoft Windows network. I tried to expand the network of Micorsoft Windows but nothing happens. I tried to disable the firewall to ensure that nothing has been blocked. I also installed printers on this server and they do not present either. No idea why I do not see a my network printers?

    Hello!

What you need to do, is turn on and start the computer browser service on the computer running the vWorkspace Management Console.

It is normally enough - in a few minutes, he should have found your print server.

Otherwise, enable and start the service on your print server computer browser too and install vWorkspace here too - Management Console run the Console here and this will certainly find printers.

    Thank you, Andrew.

  • Update of the EOP print server

    Hi all

I have currently an EOP print server is running 32-bit Windows Server 2003. I was wondering the best way to go about the installation of a new Microsoft Server 2008 R2 64-bit server to replace the current server.

If I create a new server ready to go. I could do the following:

    1. judgment of the old print server for decommissioning.

    2. rename the 2008 Server to have the same name.

    3 install the EOP.

This then go and install all printers again on this new server without me needing to do more work? Or would it be better to have 2 print servers for the print server 32-bit for the guests of Session of Windows Server 2003 (32-bit) and 1 64-bit print server for Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit) Session guests?

    Gareth

    Gareth,

Assuming that you have shared printers installed on your Print Server 2003, you will need to create the same actions on your new server. VWorkspace installation of print server will not migrate print drivers or action.

  • HP Officejet 6500 Wireless - printer installation failed to complete the

I have the installation of the printer with a static IP address and a Linksys WRT310N router. I am able to connect wireless from a desktop running Windows 7 PC. Then tried to install on my laptop Dell also runs Windows 7, with software firewall disabled, but the Setup program does not complete.

The measures taken are: run the add a peripheral Officejet icon from the desktop, select the wireless option in printers network found it shows my printer with the good IP and MAC, then I select him and click Next, run Network Diagnostics shows then goes to the installation of your screen of the printer. The green progress bar goes all the way through and says 100%, but then says "printer setup failed to complete. Clicking Retry done the same thing, then just closes but no installed printer.

    Help!

    Hello

I had the same problem on my two computers to Vista (x 64) and 7 (x 64).

I manually configured address (192.168.1.90) on my printer (OfficeJet Pro 8500).

In part, I installed current drivers (OJP8500vA909_Full_14.exe), but had the same problem as you:

the printer has been detected but not installed. I had the same helpful error ' printer setup failed to complete «...»»

Strangely, I could open the printer info web page to my IP address (http://192.168.1.90), for the config network was good.

Here is what fixed the problem for me:

    -Open the computer

    -Click on network

-must be registered with your printer

-Double-click it, and then click 'continue' if he asks you to do

This will start an installation of the driver. When it is finished, try to rerun the original installer or click the icon that was placed on your desktop to complete the installation of the printer.

  • Windows cannot connect to the printer operation failed with error 0x0000007e

    Hello

    OS: Windows 7 x 86 SP1

    Print server: Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 x 86

Printer: HP LaserJet 8150 printer shared and listed in the directory

    Problem:

When I try to install the printer in the Add Printer Wizard, choose install a network printer, she finds a driver on the server, installs, then brings up an error (see topic).

In the Print Service logs, I see the following:

"The print spooler failed to load a plug-in module, 0x7e error code. See the user context information for event data.

I can install the printer very well if I choose local printer, new port, TCP/IP, and enter the IP address. This isn't a solution, as users cannot be expected to go through this process, or for me to go around all the machines and do it manually. More I want than the print jobs to the print server's spool, and I think that the local installation method uses the local spooler.

I tried to install the driver of HP UPD PCL 6, x 86 and x 64, on the print server.

When I check what the client machine pilot chose to install by going to the properties of the print server, I can see that he chooses the former driver "HP LaserJet 8150 Series PCL 6". I presume that it is incompatible with Windows 7, that's why I am getting the error cannot connect.

How can I get Windows 7 clients to use the UPD?

I left our Windows 2003 print server to a Server 2008 and comes to install the HP UPD x 86 and x 64 for each printer. Now everything works perfectly! All XP and 7 customers can install printers network without problem.

I suspect that the problem was due to have many different versions of drivers on the old print server, and customers did not know which to use?

  • Problems with printer Redirect/MS OneNote opens automatically to RDP/VPN

We have a network environment where we rdp/vpn in several flavors of Server 2003/2008.  Whenever we either rdp/vpn in these
boxes, we get a printer redirect the box that appears several times stating:

This document was sent to the printer

    Document: Remote Desktop redirected printer...

    Name of the printer

    Time

    Total number of Pages

It is yet to come when connecting.  In these cases, nothing has been printed by the user.  We usually press ok
or Cancel to get through this, but the problem is still there in the next journal in which is super annoying.  We can go in
through the resources local tab in the RDP and uncheck the printer, or go to personalization settings in the task bar
SELECT and menu properties hide notifications from the printer, but it does not solve this problem and it also prevents our users
to be able to print over the network.
Apart from this question, MS OneNote starts automatically during each of
the journal of sessions via rdp/vpn.
I found a blog about it, so I know that this issue has been raised by others, but none
    real solution was provided.
    Any ideas?

  • C310 HP All in One: black cartridge won't print; Alignment failed

Printer works perfectly, as usual.  Rec'd notice to update the drivers of HP software; has done, and suddenly black ink does not print at all.  Done all the troubleshooting steps: test page printed. print the Diagnostics page.  Align the print cartridges.  Cleaned print heads.  Although the cartridge has shown the more partial estimated ink level, replaced by the new HP black ink cartridge.  Still not printing black ink.

Print uninstalled and reinstalled the software.  Tried everything above.  Has released a new cartridge and replaced with previous.  Also been clarified vents on both cartridges.  It is not that black ink is smudged on striated, it's as if there is no cartridge at all.  I also checked to make sure that the printer is not set to print grayscale.  It is located in the color and Normal.  Changed for the better, still nothing.

HP Print and Scan Doctor initially show all correct.  The device status is now red X: Make sure cartridges and printheads are correct or your printer.  All are genuine HP cartridges.  Now I get a message on the printer alignment failed.  Is it possible that this is related to the update printer drivers?  I have never had a printer HP fail before.  Have at least six of them.  I do not use the printer a lot it should be worn.  In addition, it printed fine until what I've updated the drivers.

Advice on what to try next? Thank you.

    Hello

The only troubleshooting steps to run is clean print head.

Make sure that you perform print head cleaning for at least 3 times.

If the problem persists, then the print head must be replaced.

You need to call HP Technical Support to get help to get the printhead replaced.

  • EOP printer should not be default, possible?

    Hello

We have activated EOP printer for the userers who access it via the Web portal remotely or at home.

EOP printer works fine, when they connect to the default printer home House is also a default printer in the vdi.

but when the user returns to the office a login to the computer thinclient there is any printer by default, but not the one he loves.

We have therefore no logon script to set the printer def. the user makes by himself. And a logon script would not work if it at home and at the office.

So I'm looking for the ability to use the eop printers, printers must be connected, but not as default printer.

is this possible? Otherwise > Feature Request

    Thank you

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

I use the following settings on my VDI and it works perfectly.

This always creates all printers, but it does not change which printer is the default.

    Thank you, Andrew.

  • Unable to connect to my printer - operation failed with error 0x00000002

My printer was working with my laptop via a wireless network. Now I can't print or connect to my printer. I'm always connected to the network, but I can't connect to the printer. When I try to add it, I can see the name of the printer and I select it, but I get the error "Windows cannot connect to the printer" [operation failed with error 0x00000002]. I changed from Windows Vista to Windows 7, several months ago, but I don't know if that makes a difference (I think I used printer at least once since I change). Help, please.

Ive had the same problem.  Win7 - 64 bit tries to connect to a printer on another pc win7 64-bit.

"Unable to connect to the printer.
    "error code 0x00000002".

    what worked for me:
Right click on computer, select Manage
Click on "services and applications", then click on 'services '.
Scroll down to "print spooler", right click and select "Properties".
Click 'STOP' service, and then click on 'START' service.

Start the "Add printer" Wizard and it worked, yay!

I use Windows 8. If someone could help I would be very happy, thank you.

This printer does not work with the ePrint driver.  That's why you get this error.  I don't really know why it's even pick up the printer.  To get the printer to work with your computer, you can use the InOS driver that is built into Windows 8, or you can use the full download of software and the driver for HP.  I'll link the download below.  The InOS driver should just pick up and install the network printer without telling you.  If this is not the case, try to install the software below to print and scan with the C6180.

  • Printing error: the printer selection failed. Restore previous selection.

    Hello!

Sometimes when I print in InDesign CS3, the default printer is PostScript and trying to change the error "the printer selection failed. Restore previous selection. "is displayed.

It s the same mistake in this old thread unresolved:

Printing error: failure of the selection of the printer. Restore previous selection.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

What is the operating system? CS3 has not been tested on recent versions of OS and may not be fully operational. You can export as PDF and print from Acrobat or Reader.

  • Printer "filter failed" for macOS Sierra?

    Hi all

I have upgraded my iMac and MacBook Pro with the new macOS Sierra and did not have a lot of problems until recently. As my exams are approaching, I print on my printer, Canon E560 comments. However, recently, some pages may not be printed and printing stops. He said "stopped -"filter"failed", and I can't find a way to solve this problem. I did this experiment several times, and in early printing, it is said immediately that the filter is not on my computer, but continues to print up to a page where it stops. Some pictures on the already printed pages are distorted. Is this related to the Sierra macOS? This is true for my two computers. I replaced the cartridges of ink, but in vain. I've also sent cannon on it, but they take a lot of time to answer me.

I have another printer on the floor in my house, which is of my fathers. So, I tried printing with it, but words have white lines through it, for some pages. This shows that it may be a problem with the document or the software, macOS Sierra 10.12.

For two printers, it seems that the content of the pages is pushed down as well.

    Thank you very much

    Ethan
