• EOS T3i - Autofocus problem

  Hi gang... I have an intermittent problem with an EOS T3i I bought for my wife.

  It was a purchase of kit that came with the 18-55 mm IS II lens.

  It seems that the autofocus function works imtermittently on my camera. I still have 2 months left on the warranty, but I want to run this by the group.

  At startup, the unit works very well. The autofocuses of stepper motor, the camera's going to break a few (or more) pictures. I'll hear the engine step by step to do its thing, auto focus points viewfinder shows and illuminate. Confirmaiton focus light begins to blink. The camera will make the two beep. the camera will take the picture.  Now when things go wrong, they go really wrong for this device.

  If I change a scene where the camera will have to move the lens and the automatic re-development. Engine step th does not light, auto focus points viewfinder will not not turn on and the right focus confirmation light will blink. If I press the shutter button, nothing happens. I have no beep.

  I called Canon support and they suggested a low level format. I did it but the problem persists.

  OK you need start the normal process of elimination.

  The lens works on another camera?

  The camera works with a different lens?

  The contacts between the lens and the camera are clean? Try denatured alcohol and a q-tip.

  You have already set the camera to the factory settings? It is not the memory card, BTW. The unit should work if she has a card in it or not.

  If these simple things have no success, a repair shop is probably expected.

  OK, Kido, here's what to do.  Reset the default T5.  Move the T5 on 'P '.  Aim the AF switch.  Go outside on a brightly lit sunny day.  Try to focus the lens on an object at 25 or 30 feet on your part.  It's working now?  If so, there is nothing wrong with the goal.

  If this isn't the case, you must contact the Canon Support, but be warned that this goal is not a good candidate for repair if it is really defective.

• Macro lens EOS T3i not turn or focus

  On my Canon EOS Rebel T3i, when I place the macro on the camera lens, it does not or focus (manually or automatically, if it is in auto or manual focus), almost like it is stuck.   [EDIT]  This isn't a target macro, BTW.  The word 'macro' appears on the lens body to tell you what the MFD, minimum Distance of focus, or macro distance, is for this particular goal.

• Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update Canon EOS 80 d

  Hello

  I am trying to import RAW + JPEG images of my new Canon EOS 80 d in Photos. When I try to choose images-> use BRUTE as the original , I get the following error message:

  Cannot switch Original.

  Pictures cannot move to the original because the RAW is not supported.

  I wonder now if the current version of Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update includes the 80 d EOS, and if not, when it will be updated.

I hope I can find a digito camera that will work with the device I already have. It was my father, and I want to use for the memories. I don't know much about photography (which I'll do it prbably take a class or two). If someone could give me help on what I could use to keep the lens I know 35mm body isn't worth much, but the memories. Can I use these lenses with a digital camera. I'm not rich and would like to buy something around 250 Beach (used or not)

  EF lenses will be monte on any modern interchangeable digital Canon camera except for the lower mirror that a person never see in stores.

  For your budget, you are a rebel used camera body. Search for a used T4i or a T3i. There is virtually no difference between the two; same, even autofocus sensor, etc. It will be a good camera to get into photography with.

Flash displays the icon confirming the auto zoom only intermittent and when it isn't, twist the zoom of the camera does not appear on the screen of the flash.  The batteries are charged and the flash is locked on the camera.

  I'm not entirely sure I understand your question.  The 430EX II has can be put in a mode where it automatically follows the camera zoom (within the limits... 24 mm to 105 mm), but you can ALSO put it in a mode where you manually control the zoom flash.  If it's in the manual control mode, so it won't automatically zoom.

  It is important that the 'broad' Panel not in use (if you go out and go back to the bottom of the Panel then flash will go to wide angle and zoom not EVEN if it was in auto mode.)

  Press the Zoom button, then use the - / + keys to change the zoom.

  When under manual control, there is a black "M" icon that appears the word "Zoom".  If the "M" is not present then it is auto zoom mode.

  Finally... When you change the zoom on the camera lens, generally nothing will happen on the flash UNTIL you wake up the system by doing a half - press the shutter button.    When the camera wakes up to the meter and focus... it is when she allows to set the zoom on the flash head.

  I don't appreciate a poison pill and wonder how legal this is...

• On the EOS 7 d Mark II is the supposed main dial to enlarge the image of reading?

  I want to check the sharpness that I pull on my EOS 7 d Mark ii. I know how to read the image. I can't click on the index/reduce/enlarge button to zoom. But I've also read where the main dial to zoom in even closer. Am I wrong? If so, my camera won't do. When I turn the main dial in play mode, it only contributes to the following image. Help please!

  On the 7Dd2, you press on the magnifying glass to zoom in, and then use the wheel near the shutter button to zoom more.

• EOS 70 d waterproof?

  Does anyone know if the D 70 will be watertight, I think make the Olympus E-3 switch to Canon but he wanted a swing display as the E-3. I shoot on the beach every day and never had a problem with the E-3 and haze, the wave splash or sand.

  I just bought an EOS REBEL XS from a friend and I really like the camera, but... I like to see through display then take the picture and not using the eyepiece.  I tried and tried everything what it to reconfigure but I can't see what I'm doing wrong reset to display.  Can someone help me out here.  Oh the manual which it was not in the box...

  Normally, you can always download the manual of the cannon online website, but for some reason any when I shoot to the top of the XS, the documentation is missing.

• Cannot import pictures to my macbook air of EOS T6i

  Although I uploaded several images to the same macbook air, the same Canon EOS T6i fromt, I can't get the camera to be seen by the computer.  No picture will matter.  I, of course, do not have the software canon on my mac, because there is no disc slot.  Canon website says I don't need software with OS El Capitan. Canon offers no web downloads of the software of the camera base.  I tried everything I know to try.  Any ideas?

  Choose your type of OS and version.  Exposing options for software, drivers, etc., but one of the categories is "Firmware".

  Download and extract the zip file (or open the .dmg file, if you're on a Mac).  The instructions to install the firmware are included in this zip file.

• Utility EOS don't wake the 1DC

  One of our photographers on the ground with our 1-D-C and has problems with the EOS Utlity.  In fact, it works great except for a key, the software will be not to wake the camerathing.  What I mean is that, while it wakes you up from sleep a half press of the shutter on the actual camera, the shutter in the software button will not.  We are on a new powerbook with 10.8 and the latest version of the utility.  That said, it's our first time taken to view with the utility so it could be something really simple, or it is possible that the 1 d - C is new and not 100% working still.  I appreciate any thoughts and advice.
