  • HP Envy: Question of the installation media last 10 victory

    Greetings,

Does anyone know if the last installation media to win 10 Pro is offered here?

The only options when creating media are Win 10 or 10N Win when executing media creation tool.

I'm under Win 10 Pro, build 10586, which is the last version that was released yesterday.

The last control on the Win Insider site does more. ISO downloads but redirects the user to the site above. So I'm not sure what's going on?

I have found no documentation on the stick to win 10 USB created stating that is winning 10 Pro.

    Thank you

    Hemdani

    Hello tpetras ;

I read your post about wanting to download Win10 Pro installation media and wanted to help.

I actually did this yesterday - using this link: install Windows 10 using the tool of creation of media - Windows help

MS has changed news media creation tool very recently and, while before, you could choose Home or Pro, now, they offer more choice, only 32-bit or 64-bit.  In both cases, BOTH family and professional editions are included on the media that results.

In addition, as before, you can also choose to download an ISO combined 32-bit, 64-bit or create a USB key that contains all combinations

Here's what I know on this topic (which isn't much):

This is document HP support recovery command: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=bph07143 note the following: "HP maintains an inventory of recovery disks of replacement several years after the product was released. However, due to software license restrictions, HP is able to provide a recovery disc for a limited time. "This bodes well for you.

I suggest that you post a question with the exact error, including the error code, the HP Windows XP Forum: http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Windows-XP/bd-p/itrc-279#.ULKOXIbn-wA you can also post the same question as a new thread (do not add to it) in the forum XP Repair and recovery here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system?page=1&tab=all&tm=1353879231110

It is my understanding that you can use a generic "OEM" version of Windows XP with the product key on the laptop - also for a long time that the generic OEM CD is the same version that is indicated on the COST of the laptop (XP Home, XP Pro).  I've seen comments to the effect that the CD must also be the same service pack (if the certificate of authenticity indicates a service pack), but I'm not sure about this.  The problem in your case would be to find a generic CD OEM XP Pro x 64.  Here this one on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Windows-XP-Professional-32-bit-SP2-Full-Version-NO-COA-OEM-/110980131583?pt=US_Operating_Systems_Software&hash=item19d6ee6aff

I noticed several other eBay offerings, which appear in the sale of the CD OEM XP Pro x 64 which include a product key.  I take no position on the question of whether items are legitimate or whether included product keys will work.

    Hello

I keep getting error messages when I use the computer. It started two days after you download an update from Windows. A sample of the error is:

    Hi Colinthebrave:

Thank you for your message; Let us know how it goes.

    o The System Restore tool

If the problem you are experiencing started occurring recently, you can use the System Restore tool. Using this tool, you can restore the computer to an earlier point in time. The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose another restore point and then click Next.

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    4. click on finish.

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    Proof of the purchase question

    Hello

I was wondering what information you must provide to meet the requirements of the "proof of purchase". I'm trying to order replacement windows installation media.
Also, is it still possible if my version is an OEM version?
    Thank you

The problem is that OEM System Builder copies are not for end users to install on their own computer.  The license of SB on the wrapper warns that it is for an installation on a computer for sale to customers.  Setup of OEM software is responsible for support then yes I think you're out of luck.

Do you have an idea what is happening with my computer and what I can do to fix this?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi deacon829,

You did changes to the computer before that happened?

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists, to do this, follow the steps below,

Access the menu advanced startup options by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts. In the advanced startup options select safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Step 2: If you try to install any application before this program, try to uninstall them.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

If this solves the problem, you can deduct that the demand is probably corrupted, damaged or incompatible. You can check with the manufacturer of the program for more information.

Step 3: System Restore: System Restore to put the computer's system files to an earlier point in time.

Look for steps to restore of the system in the link below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-system-restore

    If the problem persists,

Step 4: A scanner online for any threat and try to correct
