  I installed Hyperion, and I think that everything is ok. All services are running.

  But when I run the EPM diagnosis system I have a problem with the connection in the workspace service/connection.
  
  This is the message I get:

  Recommended action: check if all the services are running. Check the user name and password
  
  If I try to connect to the workspace in the page http://norhyperion:45000 / work/travel/configInfo space, I can not connect with the user(admin/password).
  
  I try to sign in to the services shared with this user page, and everything works.

  Hey Norm,

  What I did when I had this problem.

  First check if process manager and workspace of Agents are running. If you cannot start the process manager, or agent of the workspace, try checking the listener and Oracle DB (if you are using Oracle) services run, if it is not started. If you still cannot run the services, or have a connection problem, then you must reconfigure the workspace and

  Run the EPM System Configurator

  First reconfigure:

  Foundation of Hyperion
  -Common settings
  -Configure the database
  -Deploy the application server

  Once this reconfiguration, rerun EPM System Configurator and reconfigure the rest of working space and management architect.

  In my case I have reconfigure:

  Calculation Manager
  Performance Management architect
  Workspace

  After that, I restart the server.

  Then go back to the first check... check if Process Manager and workspace of the Agents run. Otherwise:

  Check the listener and Oracle DB (if you are using Oracle) services are running, if not started
  Then try to start the service(you can also try to start the Workspace agents in the menu.) process manager Windows-> start-> Oracle EPM system-> workspace - Menu > start Workspace Agent Services

  Try this, then start the EPM System diagnosis and check if all services are ok (sometimes Essbase Studio is not started, start it on the menu-> Essbase Studio - Start server).

  That's what I did to fix my problem and solve all the problems the EPM and now all services are running.

  We have faced a strange problem after installation and configure 11.1.2.3 version Hyperion. The question is, we have installed the EPM system in environment distributed as Foundation (all the web) in a server, EN to the server B, HFM in Server C. After the configuration, everything works fine, but when we start system EPM (StartAll) b, C server it starts all services in the B & C servers, but if we manually start the services it is departure and able to access everything. -That someone faced this kind of situation. Please, share your ideas.

  I ran into this issue today.  Any new installation of EMP 11.1.2.4 on new servers (Windows Server 2012).  EPM start (and stop EPM) scripts ran fine yesterday.  Impossible to start/stop today.

  SOLUTION:

  Change the advanced properties of the shortcuts system EPM Start/Stop "Run as Administrator".

  SUSPECTED cause:

  The IT Department has run an update of Windows on computers at night.  I don't know what patches have been charged, but something changed behavior of the machine.  This has happened to both of my servers (Foundation & Essbase) at the same time.  Both had applied for operating system updates.  Both have the same problem the next morning.  Note that the services are running under the same domain account that I used to run start/stop scripts.

• Oracle EPM Planning 11.1.2.3.500 data loading issue

  We do a load all night at our project and dimensions of a csv file. We use a unix shell script command to build to start this process.  First, we conduct a dry using the / N command, if this is successful we then update and save our contour using the / C command. The problem is that dry running checks only the file to make sure that it is valid, it does not test the file against the contour.  I was wondering if anyone knows of an order, that I can use to test against the contour csv file WITHOUT saving it. This way if there is an error in the file, it will not update our plan with incorrect data.

  You will need to run the file through a few scripts to check some things that you are looking for.

  I had a similar problem to another client, they also check that their wasn't any what issues/releases (alias) for the construction of the dimension when running on the day the day.

  The solution came us up with a (do not know if it would work in your scenario), we have treated our generation of dimension file towards the end of the company.

  So we had a race the night before and if there are problems they are sorted before the race every night. Minor problems that could be corrected using fact, how if there were too many questions of a change in the hierarchy, we not treat of the day to the next and get the company to fix their hierarchies before we reconstructed again.

• EPM 11.1.2.3 issue with rehosting of the Shared Services database

  Hi all

  We installed the EMP 11.1.2.3 on a distributed environment using the QA database. Now, we have restored the database to a Production database.

  In accordance with the procedure, we removed "reg.properties" of EPM_Oracle_Instance/config/foundation/11.1.2.0 and tried to start the Configurator EPM both

  (1) EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE\bin

  (2) EPM_ORACLE_HOME\common\config\11.1.2.0.

  But, the database "set up" for Hyperion Foundation is grayed out in the two cases, and we are not able to release it to the users.

  Thanks for the suggestion. I tried forceRegistry as the last option.

  But, I realized that now reg.properties is recorded in 2 places in EMP 11.1.2.3.

  (1) EPM_Oracle_Instance/config/foundation/11.1.2.0

  (2) EPM_ORACLE_HOME/User_Projects/config/foundation/11.1.2.0

  And to rehost the SSP database, reg.properties should be deleted both sites.

  I hope that Oracle will correct their documentation. In their EMP 11.1.2.3 deployment guide options, reg.properties is not mentioned at all.

• Oracle EPM 11.1.1: Issue of business rules

  Hi all
  
  I installed Oracle EPM 11.1.1 and I created a planning application. However, when I connect to the analytical Administration console and try to create a business rule I am faced with the following question:
  
  1. when I try to select planning application I get the following errors:
  
  Error connecting to server < servername > Essbase / < Application name >.
  
  Detail: could not connect to Planning Server
  
  2. as it implemented autour, I the Essbase outline and the rule is validated AAS. This rule has been attached to a form and must be performed when I do a mailing. However, the rule does not form. I tried to run the rule of web Planning and even once, I get an error.
  
  I checked the access rights for the shared services business rule and the admin user (which I use) has available and administrator rights. Is this a configuration problem or is there something I'm missing here.

  EAS
  Planning

  Then connect to the planning application, then go to INJURED and if the provision is set, then you should be able to create a business rule and choose the application you accessed.
  If there are problems, then there may be a configuration problem.

• EPM 11.1.2.3.500 and IE10 compatibility issues

  Maybe I missed something, but after I installed the 500PSU and using IE10, I found the following:

  I am able to connect in the workspace and HFM with no compatibility setting (native IE10)

  I am only able to connect to the FDM with IE10 in compatibility mode

  Is this normal or did I miss something on the side FDM, I thought all EMP 11.1.2.3.500 IE10 certified?

  Did you follow the additional steps for FDM in the Readme for the 11.1.2.3.500 patch? I have them copied below:

  Additional steps for managing the quality of financial data

  If you plan to use Internet Explorer 10 with FDM, please add to IIS 7 and IIS 6 HTTP response header, by following the steps below:

  Adds a header of HTTP to IIS 7 response:

  1. Open IIS.
  2. Expand the server name in the left pane: expand Sites, and then expand default Web site, and select HyperionFDM.
  3. In the right pane, under IIS, double-click HTTP response headers.
  4. On the right, under Actions, click Add.
  5. Add new response HTTP X-UA-Compatible header name and the IE value = EmulateIE9.
  6. Save the changes.
  7. Recycle the AppPool HyperionFDMAppPool.

  Adds a for IIS 6 HTTP response header:

  1. Open IIS.
  2. Expand the server name in the left pane: expand Web Sites, and then expand default Web Site, and select HyperionFDM.
  3. Right-click on the HyperionFDM site and click Properties.
  4. Select the HTTP Headers tab.
  5. Under the custom HTTP headers, click Add.
  6. Add new response HTTP X-UA-Compatible header name and the IE value = EmulateIE9.

  If you have not followed these steps that could well be your problem.

• Hyperion Planning form issue in Oracle EPM 11.1.2.2

  I faced a problem that I had never met before. I used LCM to perform a backup of the forms in the planning application. Then I deleted all forms of the respective folders. And restored forms of file backup taken earlier. The forms have been restored to the applications, but the folder structure has been destroyed. So, I wanted to delete the folders and reorganize everything. But I could not remove the folder form. No idea how I can delete the folders form? FYI, I am removing an empty folder. There is no form on the inside, but it still does not allow to delete me the folder. Remove the button is not active. Any help would be much appreciated.

  I saw this question in 11.1.2.2, and I don't think that it has nothing to do with LCM. It just seems to be a bug. Once you have removed all forms of a file, the button Delete (red X) must be enabled. This is not always the case.

  I've found a workaround. If you select the folder of form and then press the button "Grant access", the button Delete become active again. You don't have to actually change the folder security form or anything like that, just press 'Affect access' then press Cancel. Then delete.

  Issue solved after installation of SST instead of using the built-in http server. In OHA, he gives the flexibility to point to the DNS alias.

• Satellite A300D - a few questions on the various issues

  I got a Satellite A300D and had to re - install a new version of the OS.
  I removed the German language of MS Vista pre-installed and language 32 bit MS Vista Business ed. ENGLISH Version installed.
  Installation was fine, that the software works correctly except for the ATI driver and the ATI Catalyst Control Center (CCC).

  I downloaded the latest version of the drivers ATI and CCC for this laptop.
  Once the Toshiba page but also from ATI directly, nothing helps.

  Symptoms:
  Laptop is used with a docking station (although it does not matter for this issue!)

  -by opening and closing the cover of the display of an error message appears on the screen telling me, the graphic driver works correctly.
  -When right click on desktop > ATI CCC (or open it via the SysTray) a first configuration tool appears and after a few seconds, it hides all of a sudden. After 30 sec guessed it reappears for a second, and the game resumes. I can not click on 'next' or chooses an option within this window. I have to kill the process that is running with this program.
  -SKYPE VoIP: The opposite user can see me, but I do not see the video images of the person I call.
  Even in Windows Skype video configuration, it doesn't show me a video image from my camera.
  -Opening of a PDF with Adobe Reader works fine. To open a second PDF next to her brings a problem and I can't see the content. It freezes the window type. If you move the reader I'm moving the actual content of the office but can not see the contents of the PDF...

  The ATI CCC is owned by the graphics driver. So, as I've suggested above; Try reinstalling the driver!

  If the other person you can see via webcam then that would mean that your webcam works fine! You may need to reconfigure the Skype!

  This could be a problem for Adobe, so the first step should be a reinstallation of the software.
  Then follow the same procedure as described above. remove the software acrobat reader, restart, clean operating system using the CCLeaner, reboot, reinstall the software Acrobat reader again.

• How to stop Windows of reconfiguration of the monitors of visualization?

  I'm working on a simulator product that requires a certain amount of output monitors representing screens of different aircraft in a simulation cockpit. We have the poster correctly configured so that each monitor displays the correct area to an "office" - i.e. so that each plane appears in the correct place.

  The problem is (and this is a very big problem) If a display disconnects for any reason, Windows thinks it knows best and RECONFIGURE the remaining poster. Unfortunately even reconnect the monitor (and even restarted) does not retrieve the configuration of the monitor a correct display.

  Is there anyway to prevent Windows to reconfigure the output displays when a monitor disconnects? In our case, the current behavior of Windows, try to be helpful is actually the worst thing he can do. We would much better for Windows to act as if the disconnected monitor was always there; This would avoid disruption to our screens configured carefully.

  There must be a setting somewhere that I'm missing to get this standard Windows behavior. Can someone help me please?

  Unfortunately, there is no other parameters that can stop this rendering problem. This behavior is by design. I thought of the setting to decreasing possibility to change the behavior, but nothing helps.

  However, the graphics card adapter plays an important role to restore the same settings when the screens are reconnected. You can try to update your video once card adapter and check if it helps.

  Hope this information is useful.

• WRVS4400N VPN Passthrough issues

  I had a WRVS4400N router for 8-9 months. When it is connected to a remote VPN, the PC will go down intermittently to connect to the remote VPN server. Anything running on the connection, such as distance or vSphere client or network file browsing, office will be temporarily unusable, then the connection is re-established. Usually one drop lasts several seconds and varies in frequency.

  A few notes:

  -I can reproduce the problem with more than one PC.

  -Both wired and wireless connections are affected.

  -If I use an old Linksys WRT router or connect directly to the internet modem, I don't see the problem.

  -J' have tried disabling UPnP, firewall and IPS without success.

  I tried using wireshark, but can't identify something specific. The traffic seems to just stop for 5-10 seconds before resuming.

  Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

  If it is stable and pull-out decision still does not work, maybe try to download a fresh firmware of cisco.com, then reflash the router with firmware then reset factory of the router and manually reconfigure your settings and see if your seeing the same issue.

  Our team is currently working with IE9, but we think go to IE11. But we hear that many problems with workspace and view smart. Did oracle came up with a solution to this issue? . If Yes, what are the patches to be applied. It is good to move from IE9 to IE11. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

  This link is pour.500 and has no details sur.700 where IE11 is supported in standard mode.

  11.1.2.3.700 - "apply this hotfix to use Internet Explorer version 11 in Standard Mode. After you apply this hotfix, you can't use Internet Explorer Mode of business. You must apply the UPE 11.1.2.3.700 for all EPM system products in your deployment.
