  If you create a planning directly through a planning application and not the workspace then the minimum services you have started will be.

  OpenLdap
  Shared services
  Essbase
  Planning
  RMI Registry & EAS (although strictly you might not need them running only to create an application, but it is advisable to make them work)

  Then you can go directly to set up an application via http://: 8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp

• Oracle Configuration Manager server is not available (500)

  I have a few goals as the configuration of the report for My Oracle Support, using the Oracle Configuration Manager.  Everything was fine until last week when I noticed that the last Date of collection was not changing.  When I try to manually collect, I get the following error:

  Anyone else facing this problem?  If so, no idea how fix this problem?

  It turns out that this is planned, as Oracle launches a database upgrade.  This notice was posted on MOS:

  Configuration in read-only Mode data

  We are making improvements to the database that contains the configuration data for My Oracle Support. During this upgrade, the client Configuration Repository (CCR) is currently in read-only mode. You can view the configuration data, but will not be able to download new configurations or change the attributes related to the configuration of the systems. The CCR will be in read-only mode until the termination of the stoppage of My Oracle Support planned this weekend.

  While CCR is in read-only mode, you will see an error message:

  • In the corresponding log file during an attempt automatic download a new configuration or for offline Collector users who download their configuration as an attachment the Service request.
  • On My Oracle Support pages that access configuration data
    • Mainly under the systems tab
    • Sometimes in the Patch and sanitation recommendations

  When the CCR returns to the update mode after the failure, your last successful download will remain in place as the benchmark to determine the differences with the current configuration. The next collection that you send will update your configuration and would then become the configuration used for comparisons.

  Please apply for a non-technical Service or to contact the Oracle Support if you need help or have additional questions.

  I need to upgrade planning (active-EPMA) and EN 11.1.2 to 11.1.2.1 using the maintenance release. I've read other docs and blog Johngooodwin that provide information.
  
  
  I have a specific request-
  
  I'm upgrading to 11.1.2 11.1.2.1 when I configure the server of 2nd or 3rd option allows to change the name of oracle EPM instance: empsystem2, epmsystem3 etc.
  
  In 11.1.2 even on all servers (epmsystem1);
  
  According to the PDF:

  during Setup in an environment distributed, provide a name for the new single instance that you configure each server. For example, if you're > using the epmsystem1 of name of default instance on the first server and you keep the same convention on naming servers, you would > create new instance names unique on each subsequent server, like epmsystem2, epmsystem3 and so on.
  
  Create a new instance of Oracle EPM on each machine.

  please suggest a better approach.
  
  Option 1 - change an existing EMP Oracle instance epmsystem1, the epmsystem2, the epmsystem3 etc...
  option 2 - change an existing EMP Oracle instance epmsystem1, epmsystem1, epmsystem1 etc... (which would have probably allowed).

• Oracle EPM 11.1.1: Issue of business rules

  I installed Oracle EPM 11.1.1 and I created a planning application. However, when I connect to the analytical Administration console and try to create a business rule I am faced with the following question:
  
  1. when I try to select planning application I get the following errors:
  
  Error connecting to server < servername > Essbase / < Application name >.
  
  Detail: could not connect to Planning Server
  
  2. as it implemented autour, I the Essbase outline and the rule is validated AAS. This rule has been attached to a form and must be performed when I do a mailing. However, the rule does not form. I tried to run the rule of web Planning and even once, I get an error.
  
  I checked the access rights for the shared services business rule and the admin user (which I use) has available and administrator rights. Is this a configuration problem or is there something I'm missing here.

  I usually begin in the following order
  RMI
  EAS
  Planning

  Then connect to the planning application, then go to INJURED and if the provision is set, then you should be able to create a business rule and choose the application you accessed.
  If there are problems, then there may be a configuration problem.

  OK, you can safely remove the service once the components have been uninstalled.

  Let me know which are the components you want to uninstall.

  To check the inventory:

  Go to the directory OPATCH. This gives the entire list.

  lsinventory-detail opatch - oh -jre

  Ex: opatch lsinventory-detail - oh D:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/jre-D:, Oracle, Middleware, jdk160_45

  If you want to make sure that applications are not anywhere, you can also check in the following locations

  1. connect to the Weblogic administration Console, http://servername:7001 / console. Confirm if the managed server is removed by going to the servers

  2 EMP registry report (usually E:/Oracle/Middleware/userprojects/epmsystem1/bin/epmregistry.bat)

• ASO in cause of planning plan (11.1.2.3.500)

  Hi all

  I have a problem with my ASO plan in Planning (11.1.2.3.500). All dimensions "Stored" when I refreshed the database are recognized as "Activate multiple hierarchies" in default Essbase.

  What could cause this problem and how to overcome?

  Planning - ASO will tag all as a multiple-hierarchy dimension enabled. Point is there will be no problem to do... Are you facing problems because of this labeling?

• Oracle EPM - Auto disable user accounts after the expiration period?

  I'm have slammed on my security assessment quarterly Oracle EPM Shared Services is not an automatic disabling user accounts after x period of time.  We migrate to 11.1.2.2 and wonder if the SSP has been improved with this security feature.

  If this is not the case, what are other companies doing this problem?

  Surveillance is a general term. There are many 3rd party available tools that can provide surveillance, all depends on what exactly you are looking for.

  Oracle has a document on the implementation of Oracle Enterprise Manager to monitor the Hyperion Applications: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/sys9-oem-integration-1-129287.pdf. Analysis of the performance, you can also watch this: https://blogs.oracle.com/pa/entry/epm_11_1_2_how3. This will basically connect to the JRockit JVM and study the performance of the web application.

  If you want to do more surveillance (services, servers, CPU, processor), you can watch in Hyperic HQ: http://www.hyperic.com/. They have a version open source and Enterprise version. I used the version open source myself and it is pretty well and plays well with Windows. You can see several metrics, charts and information via the web-based application. You can also configure alerts email on certain activities (stop, start the service) and also monitor the availability of the Web site. To be a software open source, I think it offers a lot and it is very reliable.

  Again, here's a few suggestions. There are many tools out there that can accomplish what you're looking for.

• Vs FDMEE planning of the data loads

  I wanted to have your comments for those who load data through FDMEE vs loading directly to planning (Administration > import and export > import data from the file).

  What are the advantages and disadvantages for both?

  We could write many lines here.

  For me, they cannot be compared as FDMEE is a product and using import the file in planning is a planning feature. Although they have a common thing (they load planning data) you must take into account all processes happening before loading data.

  In FDMEE, you can create a set of metadata/data flow business integration in order to ensure the quality of your data (FDQM)... import from many sources, map data, validate, etc...

  If you just want to load a flat file, with no mappings for all data correspond to your model of planning, really useless FDMEE. You can simply import your file through HP.

  The only drawback to take FDMEE HP, it is that FDMEE is thought to financial data, so the numbers. If you want to load non-financial data (textual data), you would have to customize.

  -I wasn't talking about method you import data but export data. You use the SQL method. Go to target Applications, select your application of planning/essbase, and set load method as a file. Memorize your settings

  "LKM MSSQL to ORACLE (BCP SQLLDR)" may be useful in your case which uses BCP and SQLLDR to extract and laod of MSSQL and Oracle database.

  I use ERPi 11.1.2.1. In the workspace, it is possible to set the option of the rule of the data load to be instant, or incremental. However, I use FDM/ERPi set to load data from Oracle GL in Essbase. Is it possible for me to put in place the FDM for the data to load incremental data rules charges? Could be a parameter in the source ERPi adapter?

  Yes, the source ERPi adapter there is an option for "Method of Load Data" that will allow you to define how the rule of the DL is run. By default, it is "FULL REFRESH" but can be changed.

  (A) connecting to the application via the workbench and the source system adapters
  (B) make a right click on the Source ERPI adapter and choose "options".

  You will see an option to load method and it will be the full refresh value, choose the value of the option you want in the menu drop-down and save.

• Oracle On Demand on EHA Pod data loader

  Oracle data loader does not work correctly.
  I downloaded from Staging (EHA Pod).
  And I did the following work.
  
  1. go to the "config" folder and update 'OracleDataLoaderOnDemand.config '.

  2. go to the "sample" folder and change the Owner_Full_Name to the 'account - insert.csv '.
  
  And at the command prompt, run the batch file.
  It runs successfully, but the records are not inserted on EHA Pod.Records exists on EGA Pod.
  It is the newspaper.
