Equium A200 - 15l - hard drive almost full Vista, what now?

On my hard drive of laptop theres 2.
C; Vista and E; Data.
My Vista drive is almost full so what do I do now?
I thought that once the Vista was full disk of data take longer, but no.

Advice please.

Hello.

You can do this:

1. disk cleanup
2 turn off the system restore
3. create a new hard driver small, extracted from your data disc, for swap space. Leave the C drive for the new driver swap space. If you have 2 GB of memory, you can find, it is useful to create a hard drive to third with 4 GB of swap space, or windows will use the drive space it.
4 format your hard drive and perform a new installation. You don't like it I guess :)

Good luck.

Hello there, I am hoping that there is someone out there who could give me a little advice!

I have a laptop Equium A200-1VO, but unfortunately I need to replace the hard drive. He currently holds a 120 GB drive, but I wonder if the laptop could face if I replaced it with a capacity of 500 GB? Otherwise, 350GB?

    I hope you can help!

    Sincere greetings,

    Rich

I agree with Akuma. Satellite A200 can manage with drives of 250 GB and more.

  • Re: Equium A200-1V0: hard drives

Can someone tell me if there is a simple way to "bind" the two hard drives so that when the "C" drive fills up the brain of the laptop starts automatically data dumping in the drive "E"?

In my opinion these things (if possible) should be controlled by software and operating system itself.
So it's the right question for Microsoft and I don't think that the laptop manufacturers have something to do with it.

Have you tried to find something on the forums Microsoft OS?

You need to include the SATA drivers which is part of the Intel storage Manger.

  • HARD drive almost full on Tandberg Content Server V5.1

    Hello guys,.

I have a question shirtcity TCS, we run out of space on our Tandberg content server

Looking in the box of TCS, there is OGG files stored in E:\data\rtpdumps that seem to be a kind of multimedia files to ogg format
They must ask themselves to play WMV files in the Media folder?
Should we be clean rtpdumps file manually? The files are in total 40GB

    Software version: S5.1

    Thanks for your help;

    Vincent

    Hello Vincent.

In the rtpdumps folder, the OGG files are raw support for records file, do not delete.  If you choose to change the layout, or options for any streaming record, later the exit which is re-transcoded with these changes will be generated using this gross media file.

Have you considered setting to the top of your TCS with a NAS that is sufficient to hold all the files on external storage media?  When using external storage with the TCS, all files contained in E:\data will be transferred to the external storage.  You can find more information on the use of external storage in the TCS administration guide, page 115.

  • Satellite M200 Vista shows that the HARD drive is full of 98%

This problem showed about 2 months ago the system started running slowly and after a bit of research, I went to computer and found he showed that the HARD drive was full of 98%. Then I went and disabled the feature of shadow copy that reached about 3 Gig. After that, the performance was still hurt, so I decided to do a system restore. All reformatted once was good again until a week ago, and the same problem came back once again.

This laptop is running Vista Home Premium SP1, 120 Gig drive HARD, Kaspersky Anti-virus, it has very limited connection to the Net, as it is mainly used to store and transfer music on an Ipod (20 GB of music).

Any thoughts? Maybe a hardware failure?

    Thanks in advance.

    Craig.

Hardware failure is very likely, since you are clearly able to access your hard disk without problem.
Looks like you are using software that could be gradually fill the hard drive with data, such as a log file, it is difficult to say.
With the erosion of the space, you might want to periodically check each folder in drive C (right click, properties) and see how it changes for each new session.

Also clean the temporary files would help such as for:

    "c:\temp".
    "c:\windows\temp".
    "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Temp.
erase internet files of Internet Explorer cache / temporary
deactivation and reactivation then "System Restore" (do this only if you are satisfied with Vista is running stable)

  • My hard drive is full

My hard drive is full. Can I move files from the external hard drive on a hard disk without causing damage? Or do I have to add more space to my PC. How would (rookie) best install more space on mine. I would like to learn.
    Thank you

    Hello

Yes, you can move the data files on an external hard drive. You can also add a new disk
the computer - easier to a PC than a cell phone (even if the two can be made).

If you want to move a program installed, not just the data, you must uninstall
and then re-install the new disk.

    ---------------------------------------------------

Run DiskCleanup - start - all programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup

You may want to transfer some data, images or documents on removable media such
as the USB keys, USB (my choice) or even CD/DVD drives (make multiple copies if
    the use of these).

    -----------------------------------------------------

    Info:

System restore usually holds 15% of disk space and updates that are necessary for running computer
consume even more. Backup - Options of recovery and even MS updates and those of HP, Dell
or similar manufacturers use the space if your charging system. There are also overhead for the readers are not
    format to their maximum capacity.

  • FAT32 formatting for 500 GB Seagate external hard drive using Windows Vista

How to format FAT32 file system for 500 GB Seagate external hard drive using Windows Vista?

    Hi MVRMVR,

Windows will work generally only format a drive in FAT 32 if it has a capacity of 32GB, no more. To format in FAT32, Yes, would need to create multiple partitions. This, of course, you don't want to do.

I have not tried to format a large drive in FAT 32 but I guess that any third-party partitioning software (Acronis, Paragon etc.) would be able to do it without any problem. Alternatively you can do it from the Windows command prompt. For more details, see the link below:

Is this a computer supplied by the manufacturer with Windows
    pre-installed?

If so, D: is probably a recovery disk partition. This is where
to allow you to reinstall Windows if it is necessary. It comes
full (or almost full) and you should be sure never to write anything
for her, or remove what either of him.

I had the same problem and it has chewed all my disk space. I have a 64-bit Windows 10 - disk 250 gig. I deleted all these files except those with current date and released the 150 gig. Much better to delete these temporary files to risking a crash operating system running out of disk space.
