  • Problems with the graphics to Equium A60 driver

    Hello everyone,

First sorry for my bad English.

I have some problems with my graphics card driver. After a new installation, I wanted to just install the driver for the ATI Radeon 7000 (I have an Equium A60), after that, I noticed that my pc was down. The problem was because the driver, I'm sure, because after a fresh install, without the drive VGA, my laptop works, somehow... I mean, I don't know it might work if the graphics would have a clean driver better.

I searched on the web and saw that it was not a new problem; many people have the same problem with it. Somehow, the driver of the computer is not compatible.
Could someone help me find a solution to my problem?
    Thank you very much

Sorry my friend, but your ad looks really amazing. Driver Toshiba of origin is not compatible with the hardware. It cannot be. It cannot be the truth!

Your model of laptop is almost 4 years and I assume that Toshiba had enough time to react if the display driver is somewhat problematic. I recommend you to backup all your data and try to install your laptop using original recovery image. If there is no hardware problem notebook should work again well.

Sorry, but I don't see another solution because the pilot is certainly tested and it should work.

  • Equium A60 - NO SOUND

    Hello
I have the A60, almost a year now and I have no sound whatsoever. Device Manager says everythings fine, the parameters of the driver are ok, nothing in the settings of volume is cut off, when I play a cd through Media player, I can see the equalizer bar jumping to the pace but no sound from speakers, headphones do not work either. I reinstalled and reinstalled the driver from the cd and a new download on the net. I tried a full format and reinstall and I've just updated the bios, STILL NO ITS all Toshiba techies out there know what it is?

    Hello

Try to remove the sound card in Device Manager, and then restart the device. The operating system detects and reinstall the sound card. If this doesn't work there's a hardware problem. If you want to be 100% sure on this point, backup your data and reinstall the unit with the original recovery CD/DVDs.

If there is no success, I assume that there is some malfunction of the equipment.

  • Equium A60-157 PSA67E: where to find the Toshiba common module

Slowly work his problems but can someone tell me what is the "Toshiba common module" as one of the programs will not because he can't find it.

Also the Intervideo windvd v5.0b11.288 - srs has been modified to Toshiba systems and it's around anywhere?

    Thank you very much David

    Hello

I checked the Equium A60 driver download area and there is no common module for download.
In General, the common Module is a tool for Win XP that is required for the execution of other tools of Toshiba correctly.

I guess that common Modules are not necessary for this model of laptop.

With regard to the windvd: WinDVD can be downloaded from the Toshiba page, because it is not a tool of Toshiba and this tool has been a part of the recovery disk

  • Drive recovery for Equium A60-157 PSA67E

Has anyone got a copy of the disc recovery issued with an equium A60-157 PSA67E as I am trying to get this laptop for work and unable to get its hotkeys control and be able to work.

I think I've worn out my wellcome with Equium forum and technical appeal but it's somewhere I myself lack of understanding on this subject.

I loaded all recent downloads listed on their site, but always impossible to get these functions to work.

So can you help me please...

    David

    Hello

Why you n t install a new Windows OS on this laptop?
Missing drivers can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
    All drivers are available!

The recovery disc can be ordered for this model of laptop because it s too old.
Clean install OS Win + drivers is therefore the only option

  • Equium A60-155, don't 'sees' new HARD drive

I have an old Equium A60-155, P5A67E and tried to install a new drive hard - one Samsung 120 GB, 5400 RPM IDE.
However the BIOS (ver 1.90) is not 'see' and has no auto-detection option I see either - in fact it has very few options for anyone!

The existing drive (original) is a Fujitsu 40 GB IDE.

The 120 GB should be not OK, below the barrier of 128 Gb? - but would be using a suitable HARD drive utility (-Samsung offers a version of OnTrack) to make the drive HARD smaller 'look' for the Bios, be any help anyway? Is that the new drive faulty? Any other ideas?

    Any help is appreciated!

I agree with you and think that 120 GB should be recognized correctly. It is not easy to say what the problem is here. BIOPS value default settings and check again. If the same problem persists, try using a different HDD with 80 or 100 GB to see if any of them will be recognized correctly.

Problem is that you have limited options with all this and that he cannot do much. Either it is admitted or not.

  • Equium A60-692 - no power and removing the HARD drive

The power has gone on my A60-692, the adapter is ok but there is just no no LED on the laptop. I had to get replaced a few years ago so maybe it is related to that of the power connector.

I took to a local repair place, he said, it would cost more to fix this, so I should really find it useful laptop only think about recover my data.

Is it really so hard to fix these things?
How hard is it to make the hard drive out, & how would then access down my data?

    Thank you
    Dave

    Hello

    > I took to a local repair place, he said, it would cost more to fix this, so I should really find it useful laptop only think about recover my data.
I agree with the authorized service provider. My personal opinion is that it s a malfunction of the motherboard and it is a very expensive part. Besides, Equium A60 is pretty old model so it would be better buy you a new laptop and recover your data.

    > How difficult is it to make the hard drive out, & how would then access down my data?
It of not difficult, but I m really wondering why you need access to these data. You don t have a backup? In my opinion the backup is the most important thing you need to do on a computer.
Anyway, normally on the underside of your laptop there is a HARD drive cover which is guaranteed by one or two screws. You must remove this cover and then you can see the HARD drive and you're able to remove it.
Also buy an external HARD drive enclosure where you can install the HARD drive. Then you can connect it to another computer to back up your data. ;)

  • Equium A60-155 - HARD drive upgrade

I have an Equium A60-155 with 40G HARD drive.
The manual says that this model comes with up to 80G installed, but is it possible to upgrade to 120, or even 160G?

    Hello

If your laptop comes with a HDD of 80 GB then you ve got a good chance a 100 GB or 120 GB HARD drive would be supported.
I have no course with a size of 160GB HARD drive but I m m the 160 GB might be too afraid.

I recommend you use and test a 120 GB

    See you soon

I m not 100% sure, but I think there is a screw under the keyboard that attach the drive. You must remove the keyboard and check if there are screws that fix the drive.

  • Blue screen on Equium A60-155 - "Driver IRQ not less or equal" stop 0 x 0

I have a model Equium A60-155 no psa67e-00300c8j and I got two years ago. She has always had a problem of crash with "IRQ_Not_less_or_equal. I did all the memory reinstall new habit, and updated the BIOS etc.

In desperation, erased from the hard drive with a windows 2000 and reinstalled the recovery disk and it worked for about a month. When I updated the Explorer and Norton it crashed again. (updates are always a precursor) The laptop and an Explorer to work properly in safe mode. I removed all Norton a PROG from Symantec, but it remains the creases, but it's now a constant error. "Driver_IRQ_not_less_or_equal" with tech info * stop 0 x 00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000D1, 0XF7A6A6C6.

This is almost certainly a driver of windows operating system problem, it happens with any XP disk.

  • No hard drive on Equium A60-155

    Hello

I inherited the estate of a parent a Toshiba Equium A60-155 (model without PSA67E-00300C8J)
It came without any hard drive - the coverage is in the original box from Toshiba, but that's all.

As it was a gift, I don't mind buying a new HARD drive
But, can someone tell me the technique so I buy the right one please?

    Thank you

I found the info that this laptop comes with several different hard drive capacities between 40 and 60 GB.
So, theoretically, you can use any 2.5 with IDE connector up to 80 or even 120 GB.

  • Equium A60-157: Question about maximum size of HARD drive

    Hello

Looking to upgrade my Pentium 4 3.06GHz Equium A60-157 a bit then got a new module of 1024 MB of RAM, but now really to upgrade my 40 gb HDD to go with. I found all the specifications of the type of HARD drive, I need, but may not know what the maximum size of the disk, it is that the BIOS will recognize. I don't think that I've never updated by the BIOS and I'm looking to get a 120 GB drive. Any ideas please?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Alex,

Most portable smanufactured in the last 5 years or so are able to accept larger hard drive capacity without problem. I am currently using a 80 GB drive in an old SA30 of three years. I can't guarantee a 120 GB drive will work, but I see no reason why it wouldn't.

    Kind regards
