Equium L10-300 - Bios is not fully ACPI-compatible

Hello

Can help with this problem?
It is said on a blue screen when I start my laptop: this Bios is not fully ACPI comliant. It was in windows xp.
Recently upgraded to windows 7 but hey ho always the same error.

All the bios etc, usual default settings was eager Flash the BIOS to see if that can help, but cannot because the update of the BIOS is windows based program... grrrr cannot get into windows!

Hey Buddy,

You can start Windows in safe mode?
Enter the advanced Windows (key F8) boot menu, and then select Safe mode. Windows starts without driver and usually it should always work.

Also have you tested it with the factory settings? Try to install Windows with all tools and pre-tested drivers recovery disk. This recovery image is pre-tested by Toshiba and everything should work if not it s serious malfunction of equipment.

Yes. Your laptop is not supported in Vista. Sorry but there is no chance of having Vista BIOS support.

  • "Stop 0x000000A5 the BIOS of the system is not fully ACPI-compatible every time as the installation of a new windows 7 integral over Inspiron 15R N5110.

    Hello

I have installed Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on many brands of laptops, but when I installed it on Inspiron 15R N5110, (core i5 and 4GBRAM). I faced an error at startup of windows 7 after completing the installation.
NOTE: When the installation finished and restarted my computer, this window shown to me.

Two options from the two options above I chose, I found myself with the blue screen:

Error blue screen said something these ' BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI-compatible. Contact your system provider for an updated BIOS I don't know what that means and I don't know where is the culprit. I wish I could capture this error screen. However, it is impossible to do because I wasn't the Windows environment.

Even if the error related to BIOS necessary for the update, so how could I update as long as windows has not begun.

Is there something that needs to be configured in the BIOS before installing Windows 7 on Dell laptops.
I'm quite surprised that the previous system was windows 7, but it was Home Premium.

The strangest thing is when I tried to start to repair the disk and even disk instillation of Windows to resolve startup problems, I found that this startup repair couldn't fix problems.

When I tried to do these steps:

    1. Insert your Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer from the CD.

Note Some computers may require you change basic input/output system (BIOS) settings before you can start the computer from a CD-ROM. For more information about changing the BIOS, see your computer documentation.
    2. When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
    3. If your computer is configured to dual-boot or multiple boot, select the appropriate installation of Windows XP.
    4. When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password and press ENTER.
Note By default, the administrator password is blank in Windows XP Home Edition.
    5. By default, Hiberfil.sys is usually located in the directory root (C:\). At the command prompt, type del hiberfil.sys and then press ENTER.
    6. Restart the computer.
When I arrived at "system recovery options, I saw that my system is listed, then I chose then, but I found myself with this ' this"system recovery options"version is not compatible with the version of windows that you are trying to fix." Try to use a different compatible with this version of windows recovery disk, even if I'm sure only that the same disk to install windows I have installed since.

NOTE: I do not add RAM or other devices. There is a windows 7 Home premium and I just re installed a windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I don't really know what the previous windows version 7 is 32 or 64 bit.
I checked the dell forum and I found ' your computer goto your BIOS F2

That goto advance Select ATA to instead of AHCPI save the setting, and then try to restart your Windows 7

    hope it will work. »

But he did not AHCPI, but I found AHCI and let ATA instead of AHCI, but no difference that happened.

    Hello

Check the steps suggested by LoneWolf1983 from the link below and see if it helps.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-hardware/stop-BIOS-not-fully-ACPI-compliant/25210db0-5491-4fc8-99c2-ec0361dd8388

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

    Thank you very much

I checked this thread, and I found this solves the problem

I have changed the serial port in the BIOS for 2F8/IRQ3 and I have not had a blue screen since... fingers crossed, it's her!

But as you know that no matter what BIOS are different from others.

Thus, I have not found any serial port in the BIOS to be replaced by 2F8/IRQ3

NOTE: My problem is when you install a new version of Windows.

In addition, every time a new windows installation 7 and facing the Blue error screen, I started to Macrium Rescue CD and clicked "fix windows startup", and then when restart my windows, I was not facing the the Blue error screen. If windows starts successfully.

If the blue screen error was tied to the BIOS, the Refelct Macrium rescue CD wouldn't no matter what (not know this problem)

  • Equium L10-300 - battery failure

    Hello

Can someone tell me if the battery isn't on the laptop Equium L10-300 it will not feed with the lead/charger pluged?

    Hello

First of al you will get a few suggestions here in the forum if you want to be 100% sure which part is defective or malfunctions, you must contact a technician for laptop and it could check the hardware.

Now my opinion; If the laptop lights even if the AC adapter is plugged in, then it has nothing to do with s battery but with the internal parts like for example electronic power supply on the motherboard.

If the battery is faulty, you should always be able to use the laptop connected to the power adapter. Right?

So I think that your problem is not related to the battery I m not sure what could be wrong, but first the adapter sector and RAM check if both parties would be ok then there must be another serious problem that I suggested above maybe motherboard is affected

  • Equium L10-300: how to remove BIOS password which was never put

    Hello

I have a Toshiba laptop Equium L10-300 which has just begun to ask a market BIOS password, which is strange, because you never have the value. I read in these forums and have found that the other models had the same problem.

Now first of all, I was wondering if there is anyway to fix this without sending it away and if not then who can I send it to and the repair will be free?
    Thank you

    Hello

I didn t notice such BIOS password on my laptop problem.
However, if the BIOS has been set and that you can not connect, then you will need to contact the ASP in your country for the removal of the password! Without the help of ASP, you will not be able to use the laptop.

But I can't say much about the cost. I think it could be done for free. Just call the guy and explain your situation.

Hey all hope you can help a new user please.

Had a customer to put in a notebook Equium L10-300. Somehow has been a password on the BIOS and start-up, so I can't do anything with it. Any help would be thank you very much, really need to solve this problem.

So if you try to delete the BIOS password I can't imagine work you for some Baker. So many things on your work.

Another important thing is that the BIOS removal procedure is kind of top secret information and may not be the subject of public debate. This information cannot be displayed here. This will be a valuable aid for all who attempt to enter stolen laptops. Do you agree with me?

  • Equium L10-300 radiator & fan Exchange

The laptop is an Equium L10-300.

Nobody knows the type in the assembly code radiator & fan how do I disassemble the machine, I tried to find a guide to disassembly without look much.

    Hi dude

Hmm, as far as I know, you need to set cooling module which has been designed especially for this series of satellite.
These special Toshiba parts can be bought from the AEP from Toshiba, which is responsible for your country!

I recommend to contact the guy and to order this part.
In addition, you should ask for additional help on the replacement of the cooling module. Disassembly of the laptop is not easy and a little trickier. People with no experience could damage other parts during disassembly procedure. That is why it s really desirable assistance some technicians.

Best regards and mate good luck

  • Equium L10-300 - how to replace the keyboard

I recently got a Toshiba Equium L10-300 and it has serious issues of keyboard.

Some buttons do different things they are asked (for example. The letter M is going to be transformed into letters NM or the right arrow will turn into a huge space).

The enter/return key does not work all together and that's all I want to work really (want to format and start over).

I tried to remove the keyboard, but he can't seem to drag out (is there an easy way out without breaking everything?).

Any help or advice on this would be much appreciated.

    Hello

The keyboard is fixed with screws.
You need to remove these screws to remove the keyboard from the laptop.

As far as I know there is a small plastic above the F1 - F12 buttons cover.
You must remove this cover to gain access to the screws.

After removing the screws you may carefully lift the keyboard.
But note; the keyboard is connected to the motherboard with a flat cable. Be careful and don't use force.

I thought that the LCD screen was broken, but it turned itself off recently on a couple of opportunity (I guess overheating) I think maybe that's the problem.

What you mean with I would like a little more knowledge? If the LCD is damaged it must be replaced. If the warranty is still valid, contact service in your country as soon as possible.

  • Equium L10-300 - message "media test failure".

    Hello

I'm asking on behalf of a friend. They recently, accidentally had a spill of liquid on the keyboard of their laptop Equium L10-300 which resulted in the message "media test failure" appearing on the screen and makes it so the laptop unusable. Apparently when the liquid was split open CD-ROM drive (coincidence?), while the player also "clicky" sounds when the case he pressed.

Is their machine completely buggered now or maybe just the hard drive / liquid obtained in the drive? Are there recommendations for when such an incident occurs or just let it dry out and hope for the best?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Michael

The liquid spited in Notepad is the worst thing that can happen.

    > Is their machine completely buggered now or maybe just the hard drive / liquid obtained in the drive? Are there recommendations for when such an incident occurs or just let it dry out and hope for the best?

Why hard drive? I fear that the defective mainborad may be responsible for this message (IDE controller). Boyfriend sorry but it is just a recommendation, contact the service and let check the laptop.

  • White screen on my Equium L10-300

    Hi all

New on this site but I was wondering if someone can help me. I have an Equium L10-300 and the screen seems to start going white corners in until it becomes white. I found that by pushing on the top of the screen is the only why return to normal.

This means that the screen is broken and it needs to be replaced completely or is it caused by another party? Anyone who can shed some light on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    * coop thank you *.

For me, it is definitely hardware problem. It may appear or may display cable (maybe some crack on cable or bad connection). Sorry, but I don't think there is something you can do alone. I recommend you contact the service.

They allow to check the view feature.
