  All the multimedia keys are designed to work with Microsoft Media Player and not for use with other media players. Install a few plugins for Winamp. Please see this section on Winamp on Toshiba laptops.

  I recently discovered that the easy keys (soft touch multimedia keys) have stopped working. I've had this laptop for a month and then one day, they stopped resonding they set only occasionally when in a hurry and do not function they are supposed to work. After a recovery of product they started working again and after loading some of my software back on they stopped working again.

  To cut a long story short (many recoveries of product!) I took the laptop replacement, now with a new laptop of the same model that the keys have stopped working after one day. I tried the recoveries of new product and it suits it only occasionally but soon stops working again. They don't stop working after you install a specific software and after that I managed to make them work again after based them on everything as many times during the startup. I tried several times re-installation of value-added support package and also to save shortcuts to media to toshiba button in toshiba assist menu to nothing will do.

  In view of the physical location of the keys on your keyboard faulty it seems likely that there is a hardware problem which will involve disassembly to correct. This, of course, will invalidate your warranty if you try to fix it yourself.

  You could try to reinstall Ribbon for your keyboard connector to see if this reverts all features.
