  Since Adobe Bridge does not offer me to choose Camera Raw as a main program for photos, I need to set the path to the exe file to get my wish to open Camera Raw to double click on a photo and not Photoshop CS6.

  I shoot RAW with a Canon 7 d and I almost always reduce my photos to nnnn x 1080 for that conversation, lets assume that I always do this downsizing. I heard that reduced pictures should never be sharpened up to the once they are reduced. Is this true? Should I set all sliders sharpening in ACR to zero? Should I also keep the low clarity slider in ACR or is it more your contrast medium and less sharpening? Is there another way to improve the clarity in PSE, ACR not?

  When I finished with the cab and open in the elements, the first thing I do is crop and resize using Image, resize, bicubic sharper. Then I correct the imperfections. Then, I select on the subject (s) and adjust the curves of colors and then light sharpening, which seems to give me the best results that Enhance-setting sharpness. (After two years of use of items I found this bright sharpness and it's so good. I wish I would have notice this Brundage in the earlier book. I did ask me what I'm missing.) After light sharpening should I try high-pass sharpening more or any other type of sharpening? Is there empirical rules on what kind of sharpening works best in which application? For example, I heard another rumor that sharpening of the strong or the shadows just increases noise. Is there a good way to handle these situations, as select out them, or use a special blending mode?

  After I'm done with the subject, I usually reverse in the background and noise and/or blurr and Desaturate to puncture the subject.

  Is Photoshop complete necessary to get the best sharpening tools or sharpening similar and other aspects are more powerful? I use so little of 8 items that I guess and hope that Photoshop or Lightroom would be overkill at this stage.

  Is there a special reason why resampling belongs to your basic workflow? It is generally not something you want to do until you have to.

• Impossible to use the negative clarity ACR

  After reinstallation of photoshop CS3 and in downloading and installing the ACR 4.3.1 I can no longer use the clarity for negative clarity slider in Camera Raw.  In other words, zero is on the far left, rather than in the Middle, as it used to be.  Also, when I opened previously processed (that is, before reinstalling Photoshop) Raw files I used the settings have not been preserved, ACR indicates that the default values.  Someone knows how to fix this?  I am running Windows 7, camera Olympus E-510.   If I remember correctly the last ACR for CS3 is 4.6.  Try to upgrade to the latest version of CS3...

  ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) is a Plugin for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.

  Lightroom is a complete stand-alone application and does not use the ACR Plugin, the equivalent processing engine is an integral part of Lightroom. The Lightroom Develop Module offers the same functions as the ACR. The latest version of LR 5.7.1 is the equivalent of the Adobe Camera Raw 8.7.1 plugin.

  ACR 8.7.1 full features require CS6 PS or PS CC to function.

  Hi David,

  IdcServerSocketQueueDepth is the depth of the queue of TCP/IP socket for content server.  This is equivalent to the definition of aft on the socket to the server in Java (i.e. the number of simultaneous TCP/IP connections).  More the queue, connections more Content Server will allow before I started actively refuse connections.

  Regarding if the value of MaxRequestThreadCount must be the same, this is not the case. These 2 configuration entries are linked, but they are not the same.

• ACR 6.7RC makes images brighter than LR4.0 itself PV2012

  Try the following: reset a raw in LR4 on adobe values (PV 2012) image, and then set the maximum clarity and edit in photoshop (with cab installed 6.7) using photoshop itself to make the image.

  Result: The image is modified (with no changes to the PS) appears much brighter.

  When rendering with lightroom, it is exactly the same (as is expected).

  So, something's wrong with ACR 6.7 here. If you use no clarity, but other new tonal controls, there are similar, but not as severe as with clarity effects.

  I use Win7 64 Bit, 4.0 LR and PS CS 5.1 (12.1), 64-bit and cab 6.7 RC.

  Edit: Here are two examples of images. First one that has been edited using "make with lightroom" - it appears exactly like the original image modified (with + 100 clarity):

  

  And here the same image edited in PS CS 5.1 ACR 6.7 RC with 'open anyway', which is rendered using ACR 6.7 RC:

  

  This problem is now fixed in ACR 6.7/Lightroom 4.1.

• ACR adjustments to import

  I have a very basic question: how I 'value' ACR 'neutral' so that when I open LR2 and import files, there is no adjustment based on my last set - up. I would like to start with no adjustment as ACR does in the bridge.  For example: regardless of the sharpness is applied to my last picture that I dealt Iin LR2, the following photo is already subject to this level of sharpness. I prefer to happen.  Any help on what I know, it's a fundamental issue is appreciated.

  Whatever the settings are at the time of importation are provided in the history panel and usually include some brightness, contrast and work of clarity, because images would be very flat to their RAW values.

• Workout App does not define 'fast market' equivalent?

  When I use the app to drive on my Apple Watch when I went up on a normal bike, not all of my journey is considered to be a workout.  I can be riding for an hour, but the app decides that the only parts of this time count for a workout.  The explanatory note said I have to do the equivalent of a brisk walk.  What is c?  Is it using my pulse?  If so, it's too bad because I take the medication that slows down quite to the bottom of my heart rate and it is very difficult to be in green all the time.  My bike course map is painted in green, yellow and Red areas.  So if I stop briefly for traffic, it is red and does not count.  If it's yellow, it doesn't count... so it appears.  This means that a one hour bike ride can have only 15 minutes of training time.  That makes no sense to me.  Have I not that bad?

  Progress towards your daily goal of exercise of credit, the application of the activity is to identify the activity equal or exceed the intensity of a brisk walk.   Unfortunately, no. To do this, I suggest you drag the slider with the trackpad (or mouse) to select all the files at once.

  The error (!) programming firefox/mozilla may have been already introduced in an earlier version of 'b' (I do NOT update the same sw every two days!), but I noticed that with the b6.
  I changed options - settings for countless times, tried, I tried different fonts, different colors, NO improvement!
  All THE text in the browser (including the URL!), small look gray, fuzzy. A nightmare for the eyes! Need a doctor. Who will pay the Bills for my eyes ruin? You?

  Thanks for your reply James, that's a good point. I never thought, but I guess I'm getting "beta" versions because I must have clicked once "a part of our beta-testers version" or so.
  You are right I should leave that and only get standard versions to avoid any trouble more.

The fonts are beautiful, hardware acceleration, etc that has nothing to do with it. James touches the point: I use a beta version, and they obviously have bugs. I'll change to the normal versions.
