  At first, I must say that you should back up all your important data to an external device like external HD or USB. When you use the recovery facilities disc all the partition is deleted.

  I don't know why you cannot use livery recovery disk, but the only thing to do is to visit nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer and show the problem. If they can confirm recovery DVD is defective, I assume that you will get a new free of charge.

  If only Windows is corrupt, then yes the created reader will be safe. However if the hard disk itself is corrupted then the created reader would not be safe.

  Windows 8 is a way to backup all your data, your programs, your files and your current configurations. It's called a System Image and if you back up to a CD you can keep a safe place in case of crash. A System Image is essentially a copy of your current configuration.   As far as I know that it is no longer possible.
  If you have selected the language, you will need to use the language that was chosen originally.

  I not quite sure of this workaround, but check if this m:
  -create a recovery disk (using the software creator on the laptop recovery disk)
  -use the recovery disk to reinstall new OS
  -Check if it would be possible to change the language.

  1. click the button start , click all programs and then click Windows Update.

  4. under Language Packs Windows Vista Ultimate, only select the language pack that you want to (install all would take them too much space on your disk.

  GR means German so that you will get the laptop with OS preinstalled in German language.

  The laptop purchased in Germany are preinstalled with German OS. You can not get another disc recovery in the English language in such a case, you should use a clean Win 7 operating system in the English language.

  I also put t know how much RAM have been mounted, but I checked the Tecra M9 user manual and it can be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM. This means that you need two modules with specification of SO-DIMM DDR2 200pin for upgrade. In the user manual, you can find some information about it.

  On the issue of Windows 7, I think that Toshiba will not release a Windows 7 recovery disc because this model isn't Windows 7 supported:

  You can install Windows 7 from a Microsoft disc but you will have to collect the drivers on different websites or other, you use the Vista drivers.

I have followed all the instructions in the Boot Camp assistant, restart, choose the yellow 'Windows' drive to boot from, but when I get to the Windows installation, enter the product key and language, and then select the partition (0-4, the partition Disk Partition) it tells me that "Windows cannot be installed to this disk.   1. your iMac end 2013 supports the facilities of BIOS/MBR and GPT/EFI.

  2. the legacy BIOS/MBR method requires a hybrid MBR.

  3 EFI/GPT is recommended for your specific model.

  4. you can use the GPT Fdisk steps in your link to make your drive a GPT disk only. It is not enough.

  5. you will need to convert the FAT32 partition space using the following OS X Terminal

  diskutil eraseVolume free disk0s4 FREE

  This will return an error, because free space is not associated with disk slices.

  6. at this point, use the USB installer created by the wizard of BC, boot from it and hold down the Alt/Option key and select Boot EFI (not Windows). Point to the portion of the free space that you see after the + 620 MB Recovery HD. It will separate into a small (128 MB) MSR and the rest as MSD (NTFS).

  7. do not install W7 in Boot EFI, because it has some difficulties.

  8. when Windows is installed, and BC drivers are not installed, run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder.

  9. If csrutil is not found, you are in the recovery of the Internet, because your local Recovery HD is corrupted. The rescue of the failure of the local recovery is restoration of Internet. Your must be on El Capitan. There is no csrutil (or SIP) before El Capitan.

  This software is only available on the Toshiba Recovery CD and cannot be downloaded.
  All Toshiba drivers are published on the Toshiba page!

  If you wish, you can order the recovery CD of the ASP where you bought the laptop. In you case it s Germany.
  Finally and most importantly the recovery CD can be ordered only in the same language.
  If you bought the laptop in Germany, you will only get the recovery in relevant language CD.

  I'm not sure about the cost but it must be very cheap!

  I don't very well what means NH but the laptop came out with the preinstalled version of English Win 8 and I guess that the recovery disc m would also contain the English system.

  As far as I know, you can choose the language of the system only once at the start of the laptop for the first time.

  I think this laptop model was launched in three different countries and that's why you can choose your preferred language for the first time. After that, the selected language will still be available on the HARD disk, but other languages would be disabled.
