  I have a 9700 running 5.0. I have has little chance of integration iCal with my BB and have renounced that for now. During fighting with my phone, I bought a calendar of office and by default; There's a book CICAL for the office. How to I get rid of the default? The posts on this topic in the past of reference of utilities in DM to PC, but I'm on a Mac.

  What I come back to the Desktop Manager 4.7 - and if yes, can someone guide me through 5.0 uninstall and reinstallation of the 4, 7--or is there a workaround? Trying to avoid spending hours on the phone with Verizon that will close just pass me BB support!

  Are you sure that there are no default [CICAL] in your service books? Otherwise, you can clear the calendar making it:

  Select Desktop Manager > Backup and Restore > advanced. On the right side you will see all the databases. Select calendar and click 'clear '. Who will wipe everything on the calendar. Then go back and restart the sync of the calendar. If she does not add entries to the phone and wants to remove items from your Outllok, use the option "sync" and you should be ok.   I have a BlackBerry 8830 and am using BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize with my laptop. The operating system is Vista Home and I sync with MS Outlook. I was able to sync without problem since getting the phone in the month of April. There are, all of a sudden a few days during synchronization, I get an error message Intellisync error message 'failed to complete request. In chekcing far I determined that everything except the calendar will sync. First of all, I used the original cd to 'fix' the Desktop Manager software. That did not help so I uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Which doesn't work anymore. Read the suggestions on this website I'm stuck when it comes to what to do next.  When I "view log" on the 'configuration' tab, the last two lines are:

  #-734 internal error.

  Cancelled translation.

  I came empty when I typed the internal error number in the search engine.

  I think it has something to do with a recurring appointment.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  I would like to try to delete the intellisync folder and then try to synchronize again. This may or may not help. Here are the instructions:

  1. Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application.
  2. Disconnect the BlackBerry to the computer device.
  3. Double click on my computer > Local drive (C drive > Documents and Settings > (username) > Application Data > Research In Motion > Blackberry > Intellisync)
     • Note: If the Application Data folder is not present, click Tools > Folder Options in the upper part of the screen.
     • Click the view tab, and then click Show hidden files and folders.
     • Click apply > Ok and continue with the remaining steps.
  4. All remove in the Intellisync folder.
  5. Start synchronization BlackBerry Desktop Manager and the attempt of the device with the computer.

  * edit - while POP accounts reconcile email deleted between your Pocket PC and the server, your problem is that your BlackBerry is NOT 'connected' to your Outlook 2007 on your PC. Only your email server is.

  If for example, with IMAP, you can delete an email from your Outlook and your outlook is set on then delete the email from the server, your BlackBerry will be 'reconciled' which remove on the handheld device as well. It will not work on the other hand (delete on BB > reconcile the removal on the server > but I do not think enamel is removed in Outlook.)

  This is my first post.  What I read the forum is a great place to deal with issues of Blackberry and very informative participants.

  I hope someone has an answer to my problem regarding my Entourage calendar on Blackberry Sync calendar desktop iMac

  Background

  (1) I works on a desktop iMac system but use Microsoft Entourage for Calendar/Contacts, etc..  I don't use iCal.

  (2) I've set up the time on the calendar Entourage say noon and then invite me by e-mail and send to Blackberry

  (3) I opened electronic information and the invitation and the meeting time shows as 05:00, 7 hours before the time I set up in Entourage.  The day is correct.  When it's time time is advanced from 8 hours to 04:00.

  (4) my preferences system iMac for the clock and time zone settings are set correctly at the normal time of the Pacific (PST) and I use a 24 hour clock.

  (5) Microsoft Entourage preferences-calendar shows the time Zone by default for new events like Pacific time.  Sync Services as no boxes are checked.  I think that it is correct.

  (6) on the Blackberry, to the title of the Setup Wizard, the date and time settings are for Pacific (-8) using a 24 hour clock.   This seems to be correct.

  (7) I will not sync hard wire calendar synchronization using the Pocket Mac Sync Manager software but do electrician for Contact synchronization.  It works very well.

  I hope that gives you enough information.  Again, if anyone has had the same experience and found a solution or just has a few ideas, please let me know.

• Transfer data of blackBerry Smartphones in your old phone again using Desktop Manager

  So I had an older curve, and now I have a brand new Curve 3 g.  The old phone is broken and I can't use the keyboard, but it remains recongizes the software when it is plugged in and I can load - that's why the data could not be transferred from my old phone to the new at the Verizon store.

  I don't understand this - the new phone has 256 MB of memory from 32 MB in the old phone, and I don't even have apps out there except facebook (I tried to delete my apps on the phone and he showed me as having been facebook...)

  So, I tried unchecking various boxes on the screen asking me what I want to transfer and even with them all unchecked it always says there is not enough room for the transfer...

  Am I doing this wrong?  I want to just my contacts and lists of tasks transferred to the new - I don't know what that thing on 'requests' and these words, but I want just that my data is transferred...

  I will say that the Blackberry Manager application I have is very slow, not intuitive, and generally a huge pain in the * beep * work with - I think that a slick like Blackberry tech company would have would have a much better than this 'Blackberry Manager...   You could go to www.blackberry.com and download/install the latest version. That may solve your problem.

  However, have you tried simply to make a backup of the old device and restore on the new?
