Error 0x8007045D when copying to NAS

Hello

I recently created a NAS using NAS4Free. I formatted a hard drive and was copying on my files, however, once that works well for a few days it now gives me an error (see below) while trying to copy to a file. I tried to google the problem to find a solution, but I had no chance. Is that what I can do or is the hard drive (old) just died?
"An unexpected error prevents you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.
"Error 0x8007045D: the request could not be preformed because of an i/o device error."
Thanks for the help!

I am trying to copy some files from my drive HARD outside., but I get this error (error 0x8007045D: the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error).

I run windows check disk on my external hard drive, I tried to run windows defrag, but it takes too Lowe and cancel (external HARD disk is 1 TB). I download a software defrag and defragmented my hard drive using fast (the software is O & O Defrag). I tried on another computer and got the same error. Is it a hardware problem. Y at - there any possibility to fix it. Thank you for helping

    Hello Nyfixen,

    1. have you changed the permission for the external hard drive or files you are trying to copy?

    2. you have all important data (files) stored on the external hard drive?

    3. are you able to copy the external hard drive to the computer?

The Autorun.inf could not be a problem for that. It always seems to be a problem of permission for me. Some hard drives have a jumper on them for write protection. You should check the configuration of jumpers, thank you consult the manual that came with the hard drive for permissions.

  • Error 0x8007045D when you try to install Windows Vista SP2

    Hello

Currently I have Windows Vista SP1 and want to upgrade to service pack 2. When I try to do the update of Windows, I get "error (0x8007045d) Error_IO_DEVICE. I also tried to install it in safe mode, I get the same error message. After having traveled a bit on the internet, I found that it is probably because my HDD is damaged... so I run the chkdsk program...

The chkdsk program stops at 16%... Step 4 of 5... When 85785 files off 300000something files are done... and it does nothing more. It keep running like this all night, it goes no further.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do to successfully install Windows Vista SP2?

    Thanks for your help!

OK, I started the computer with the Windows CD and I ran chkdsk /f at a command prompt.

Chkdsk /f found errors it corrects.

I ran Chkdsk/r... .he got stuck after scanning 85763 files... near the place, he would always get stuck (85785 files)... so I guess it's the same file that crashes chkdsk.

The good news: I still have a functioning computer.

The bad news is that I ran the SP2 from windows update in new safe mode and it didn't work... I'm still stuck with my problem.

I have an extra hard drive... that I ordered from Dell for my girlfriend's computer, his computer died before she could use the player, but it is larger, then the drive of your computer and it is brand new... the only downside is that the player has been implemented for the computer of my girlfriend (pilots and other things) and does not work in my computer. I guess I'll try to format that drive to make it work in my computer... it should fix this and then bad SP2 remedial power very well.

I guess I have no choice.

I suggest to remove avg (uninstall) then try sfc/scannow then chkdsk /f several times. a few times, they need more going to make things more

Microsoft security essentials is a better a v for not update couseing problems.

You can allways put avg in the back.

not having is not enouph to free space for temporary files can couse problems too.

Also updated my bios, did chkdsk assistants / partition sector audit, which both say the HARD drive is fine, installed xubuntu and archlinux with no problem, reformatted and repartitioned once again, changed my SATA controller in the BIOS from AHCI to IDE, has released 1 RAM module, tried to win 7 64-bit Professional without SP1 and win 7 32 bit Prof. I ran the install disc in both UEFI and normal mode (of course with GPT table partition mode uefi and mbr in normal mode), tried to cables and SATA connectors, different and burnt and tried them all iso alone at least two times (with different programs).
Installing Windows from USB Flash Drive also tried.
I still get error 0x8007045D with each I try unique installation.

The cause for the error code is often a scratched or dirty facility...

Since you've already tried to burn multiple ISOs, it could be your optical drive.

  • Error 0x800700e1 when copying.

    Original title: error 0x800700e1

    Hello

When I try to copy a file to another location, it starts copying and comes out later with a dialog box saying that the file has virus Error0x800700E1

    Hello

Please write to us with the following information.

    1. You have a third-party security software installed on your computer?
    2. In the face of this problem when you copy any where?

You could deal with this issue when the competent to copy - paste or file transfer does not work or if you have any third-party security software. Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

Method 1: make sure that Volume shadow copy service is running.

Connect to your computer as an administrator user, and then follow the steps below.

    1. Press the Windows key + R, type services. MSC and press ENTER.
    2. Find the shadow copy volume service in the list.
    3. Right-click on this service and click the Propertiesoption.
    4. Make sure that the type of Startup is Automatic and the Service status is running.

Check for the question, if you still face this issue, go to the next method.

Method 2: Temporarily disable the third-party security software.

If you have installed a third party such as antivirus/firewall program security software, they can interfere with the copy. I suggest to temporarily disable and check if you are able to download the update.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Check the problem and write us if you still experience this issue.

  • error occurred when copying audio streams

So I bought this product and installed and spent about 2 hours going through the tutorials. Now, I decided to make my first record of the sample of a web-based program. I created a new recording project /, size the window, etc. I click on folder, connect to the application, press END on my keyboard and it shows that savings and then BAM, I get "error encountered during audio stream copy" as a small box to pop up. I have no audio turned on or anything. How can I solve this problem?

I'm fighting the same exact error. I installed Captivate on my other laptop and it worked fine so I thought well, remove it from the original laptop and see what I can do from there. When I went into the Control Panel - Add/Remove programs I couldn't find Adobe Captivate so I ran a installation, check the Add/Remove programs and now he's here, and when I try now to create a project it works... go figure. Don't know what it was but I did check the sound settings in my control panel of two laptops and both were the same, all that I checked were the same - one worked there isn't. The only difference I've found that the laptop which didn't work had the application was on the Add/Remove window, but I was going to start - programs - Adobe Captivate to start if she should have been there. Re-install and see what happens.

  • Backup in Windows 7 error 0x8007045d

Recently (since last month), I've been doing 0x8007045d 'I/o device error' during backup Windows 7 x 64. Here's a little history of the problem:
I upgraded my computer with a new motherboard / CPU / memory and did not make a clean install, I'm aware that is not recommended and I knew the id to have a few problems, but everything went well.

I ran windows backup backup my hard drive on my network drive Netgear Stora. I received an error "volume shadow copy". I have researched and solved the problem.

I was then able to make a SUCCESSFUL backup and my computer did his weekly backup with no problems.

Then I started having the "I/o device error" 0x8007045d when backup is 57% (preparation of the backup)
I have run chkdsk/r administrator in normal mode and safe, I tried to disable my antivirus from symantec, I tried to send the backup at once of my readers network, all with the same result.
The system works well, I can say in all other respects and were broadcast on the new material for about 5 months.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, really, I don't want to do a clean install of windows, so im trying to avoid that if possible. Thank you!.

    Hi Stanley,

You can read the following article and check if it helps.

Error message when you try to perform a full backup on a Windows Vista-based computer: "the application cannot be performed because of an i/o device error."

    Hope this information is useful.

    Original title: Error code: 0x8007045D

Error code: 0x8007045D when transferring files to the card reader. Lost files. Running Windows 7.

    Hi Bernard Major,.

1 did you change the permission for the files you are trying to copy?

    2. What place you are trying to copy the files?

    3. are you able to copy the same files on another computer?

You can try to copy files to another location on the computer and check.

    Step 1:

I recommend you to check if you have enough permission on the card reader to transfer files.

See the link to apply authorization:

What to know before applying permissions to a file or folder

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-to-know-before-applying-permissions-to-a-file-or-folder

    Step 2:

If you're still having problems, then run Check disk to repair the bad sectors.

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. Type X: (for the card reader drive letter) and press enter

    c. at the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

    Now, type chkdsk/r

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area. You can save the data on the disk before you perform a checkdisk.

  • Files could not be copied into a WD My Passport External Drive because of an error 0x8007045D i/o device

I tried to copy files from my hard drive into an external Western Digital My Passport drive. But, as I was watching the progress of the copy of the files, I noticed that only four files have been copied to the external. A large majority of the files could not be saved due to an error 0x8007045D i/o device. I noticed it's the same error I get when I shut down my computer (in this case it is said error of breakpoint or something). Drag / drop files did not work. Still later, my USB key no longer works.  I tried to check my hard disk for errors, but my camera came out clear.

I use Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit, E5800 Pentium Dual Core and an Asus motherboard.

How can I get rid of this error because I need to transfer my files specifically in the external hard drive?

Help, please. I'm not very tech savvy so simple instructions the better.

    Hi @roryheadmav!

You can try the basic steps in such cases troubleshooting - first try to connect the hard drive to an another USB port of the computer and if possible with another USB cable.

I hope that you will be able to transfer all the data you have, but in case it does not work, you can also boot into safe mode and try to copy the same and see if you can successfully complete the copy error-free operation. You can follow this article that describes how to enter Safe Mode.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Hope this helps and let me know how it went.
