  The error message indicates the problem clearly enough.  _feed_list is defined as a ComboBox in your first line of code.  You who pass as an argument in your line to populate (_feed_list) of code.  However, the populate function expects a XMLList object to pass, not a ComboBox control.

  You're probably really saying to use...

• Error 'Could not find type' in 2013 VS designer

  I use VS 2013 with Measurement Studio 2013. I know that there is no integration VS 2013 supported, but it is very good and so far I've been able to work around this using the proposed methods (e.g., generation of the licx file manually). However, I now use on a question which, I'm afraid is a bug of Visual Studio (and not a problem with NEITHER), but I wonder if anyone has experienced this.

  Before today, I had a job perfectly Windows Forms project with a single form. This form includes some NationalInstrument.UI.WindowsForms.WaveformGraphs. For some reason and I don't know what changes caused this, when I open the VS designer to this form, I now am facing a screen for error registration 3 errors. They are all the same shape and say:

  Type 'NationalInstruments.UI.WaveformPlot' was not found. Please make sure that the assembly that contains this type is referenced. If this type is a part of your development project, make sure that the project has been properly built using settings for your current platform or Any CPU.      

  For two other errors, the type of WaveformPlot is changed to XAxis and the x-axis. The project is referencing correct (NationalInstruments.UI, NationalInstruments.Common, and NationalInstruments.UI.WindowsForms) libraries and I'm building x 86 and SEO only x 86 versions of libraries. After all, this all worked before apparently without change.

  I even went back to the previous building control points within our source control tree, I know with certainty before, but the error persists.

  I saw the same behaviour in VS before and sometimes you can remedy the situation by a combination of black magic, for example cleaning, removal of directories bin and obj, reconstruction, restart etc, but in this case, none of these things seem to work. I'm pretty experience when it comes to VS and Windows Forms development and have tried most of the solutions you might think first of all, I'm looking for someone who has been in this situation before. • To change the data type of control/led

  Is it possible to change the underlying data type of the indicator or a control?  I a VI that I want to use that accepts any type of data (essentially data varriant) and display it accordingly.  I have different controls selected to display data of different types in the sense of data vs decimal boolean data vs integer, but certain types of data will be of type uint32 vs int16 vs uint64 etc..  Is it possible to programmatically change the data type, so I need to have all the combinations of indicators?

  The short answer is no. The long answer is that LabVIEW has not 'generic' controls that allow you to display any type of data (apart from the variant of course). There are several ways to address this problem, but all require you as the programmer to manage explicitly each type of data you could possibly meet. Here are some possibilities (in no particular order), please let me know if you would like to help a particular implementation of these.

  1. Force incoming data to variant, use the info option to determine the data type of the original data in a case structure (open G can do this VERY easy), have an indicator on the front panel for each type of data you want and hide those unused
  2. Use a sub-group of experts on the front panel and sub - vi call of to view specific types (that lends itself very well to encapsulate your data in a class and you leave OOP allows to expand into different types of data)
  3. Use a tab with the variant (similar to option 1) control put each kind of data in its own tab, enable only the current
  4. Do a Control-X to accept a Variant option 1 under the hood
  5. Just as a string of format and use a string indicator

  That's all I can think of right now, once again, let me know if you need more information/help on the options.

  I think that the name of the property went from treeDataDescriptor to dataDescriptor before the release of the beta 3. I don't think that the documentaton in the developer's guide has been updated after Beta 3.

• Scripting - refer to a Strict Type Def control

  Hi - I need to automate some sorting and the strict removal of functions in a def type of an enum control I have. I would like to write some programs to deal with this rather that enter the definition of the type of control and do everything manually.  The fact that a person can do those through the Edit dialog box tells me that you should be able to access these methods through script.

  Thus, the fundamental question is; How can I get a reference to this control?

  A custom control is actually a VI, so use the reference open VI and give the path to the typedef. VI reference resulting allows to get the reference of the actual control on the FP, and then call the Save Instruments on the VI method when you are finished.

• Get the reference to the type of control of def

  Hi all

  I've been using VI script to update certain parts of the report and have encountered a problem in a case.  I was not able to get a reference to a def control (.ctl file).  The control is simple enum, and I recorded it as a def type because I use several places in my main VI, although I don't think that my problem has nothing to do with the fact that it is a def type.

  I know how to get a reference to a VI (Open VI reference function), and I know how to get a reference to a control in a VI (function Open VI of the reference of the object), but not a stand-alone control.  Details of the help file for the Open VI reference function imply that I might be able to do this with instructions to "Strictly typed VI reference", but it let me only select files .vi and not the .ctl file.  Please notify.

  You can open a typedef of control using the VI reference open and the path of control of wire on the way to the VI.  You can then change the control with scripts by obtaining a reference to the control on the front panel.  If you have a VI with control of typedef, you can get a reference to the typedef (not its instance) by obtaining a reference to the instance and using the Typedef VI or properties Typedef plotted for reference, or the path to the typedef.

  This can be confusing because a typedef is literally a VI without a diagram, and the script processes as such.

  I'm writing an application that only uses the keyboard to navigate through the components on a page.

  When the user clicks the button the arrow, emphasis is placed on the component that has focus.

  For example, I have a container that has several images page layout, the user can access other images

  First of all, I tried to use images as the component to store the image, but I discovered that I could not set the focus on a

  component images. Then I used buttons and set the property to the icon of the source of the image, and it worked fine.

  But then I did a botton in another mxml component, I named ButtonImageGadget so that I could put the icon property the

  the main application file. When I run and navigate to the switch that is a button is buttonImagel file, I get an error.

  WITH is just one of the ways that we can generate sample data. I did it to illustrate that the query works as expected. This is known as "Subquery Factoring." See the documentation for more information.

  If you want specimen for all types of remove the list, in the WHERE clause. The query will then return for all types.
