Quad core Dell Vostro 400 Windows XP pro started having problems soon as the update on I tunes about two weeks ago. Also noticed flashing lights and error 0x887df78e on my HP Office Jet 7310 code at the same time. I went through all the trouble, no shot for the printer with no resolution. I just push the button so that it can go again, but it doesn't last. I removed Itunes and its components, Quick time and reinstalled. Still getting error DEP and I tunes stops down, even if I change the settings to allow Itunes to the DEP.

    Hi Boneman,

    ·         Have what troubleshooting measures you tried for the printer problem?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

  • Center media card PCI TV Tuning problems

Since the digital switchover I can no longer use Windows XP Media Center to watch TV. My TV PCI card is a device Hauppauge Nova - T 909 dual channel TNT but who has already worked with library and is currently working with the Hauppauge software, used to the library to find all channels when scanning for them. Also, I get an error message saying the tuner cannot be found or the antenna is not connected, which is clearly.

I deleted, canceled and rebooted Hauppauge drivers etc and no indication in device, malfunction management. Windows is also updated

    Any help would be appreciated

The digital switchover has caused far more problems than most of the people living in big cities and realize populated areas. The switch was made for these main reasons:

To free up airways for the fast growing demand for cell phones.

Digital is also much less space than analog.

    Digital reception is more clear.

The Government owns the Airways and can now sell free space and make billions.

I'm also affected my cell internet connection (which I am on now) decreased by greately and my cell phone. It's because I live on a mountain in an uninhabited area and my cellular company is not interested to spend millions to build a tower in my neighborhood and the digital switchover affected my reception. High demand reduced reception quality.

However, it is temporarily more side, I have a TV Tuner analog and I still get the signal. Reason in low population areas were not required to pass even if some switched in any case this is why "temporary".

All major cities have been required to spend as well as highly populated areas.

    All that being said:

I'll assume that your device is both digital + analog and you installed a driver for the two. Try to uninstall the driver only analog or only digital driver (depending on where you live).

You can also try uninstalling the software Media Center capable of most of the options.

You said antenna: if she is drinking, it is most likely your problem. If you were in analog and digital now a portable antenna or an antenna outside normal is able to receive the siginal for a distance of about 10 miles only. Try first at this stage. Get a better antenna but attention, more regular external antennas announced for you give incredible reception are a fraud. Before buy you a try on a different surface even though it's a pain to lug your PC it unless you have a laptop.

One last note on digital and analog when you use an antenna.

If the reception is poor with analog you get snow or lines, but you still have a picture no matter how it is!

If the reception is poor with digital, you have no image at all your TV becomes black or you receive a message from your computer saying the tuner cannot be found or the antenna is not connected.

(Some people also have a temporary loss of signal due to maintenance on the towers)

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

    Hello
    I bought a USB DVB - T TV TUNER S.N. = 2105060308068
    There is a problem.
When I run the Setup it says "There is a problem with mpegaudio.dll, that the file has not been copied"
When I run the program it says 'unknown error. "Error code: 0 X 91000066.

    [email protected]

It seems that the mpegaudio.dll was copied or installed.
To my knowledge the DV - T USB tuner is delivered with TV software warned.
I put t why it has not copied, but you should try to reinstall the additional application.
I think that this software installs MpegAudio.dll .dll file in the windows\system32\ folder and if it s lack the software may not run correctly.

I have also a windows server backup from my computer. I restored my computer to a point where the computer work and it didn't work. I looked everywhere on the internet and you can find a lot of people with the same problems, but not answers

my card is displayed as working on Device Manager too so it must be a software problem.
im running windows vista 32 bit
I have tried reinstalling drivers did not work, tried to remove the map and back does not work

I have HP slimline is now Windows 7 and Vista. When I upgraded to Windows 7, I did not go off Homegroup. My Vixs tuner worked fine for 2 years. Recently, may 2011, I decided to start the homegroup; What a mistake!

My Media Center said that I had no TV tuner.
After much research, I found this solution.
In windows 7 go to "Administrative Tools" and launch 'Services '.
Scroll down to "Windows Media Center Receiver Service" and under "connect as" column, make sure that setting is 'Local System' and not 'Network Service '. The "Startup Type" value in the manual. not automatic.
    This fixed my issue.
  • "I tunes is not installed correctly. Please re - install. "(Error Windows 7-998)

Original title: Please help, receiving the error msg in windows when you try to use I-tunes

Windows keeps giving me the message "I-tures is not installed correctly. Please re - install. "(Error Windows 7-998). I tried to re - install I-tunes several times, but the Installer seems to be difficult to remove completely and whole system crashes and I have to restart the computer. All this happened when I installed an another norton 360 version 4.0 to replace an expired norton 360 version 4.0 and I was online with them for a long time and they said that this has nothing to do with their software. I'd appreciate any help I can get, thanks

    Hi Matthew,

It seems that the new version of Norton blocking somehow windows install to work properly.

I suggest you temporarily uninstall Norton of the machine and then try to uninstall I-tunes of the machine. You can use the Norton removal tool to accomplish the same thing.

(NOTE: please reinstall your security program once the problem is resolved.)

Once you are able to uninstall I-tunes, you can go ahead and try to reinstall the same.

    Hope the helps of information.
