Error 117. Really? We are still fighting this battle?

Ok. I still get error 117. (OSX Sierra)  I finally got (via the live chat - which is awesome btw) most of the CC apps I need is installed. However, I can't update SOUL or Illustrator. Now I have to pay a small fortune each month and can not get updates. Reason? Would have been something wrong with my ISP. Now, it's absurd to first order. How can it be that some applications install (LR, Acrobat) and others do not. I tried the workaround fixes posted in the carousel error 117 round linking and cross-linking, but they do not work.

Adobe solution is to try another service provider - but how do you know if it will work? They suggest to use mobile data - but I suspect that they have no idea of the cost of moving date in South Africa - to download the updates on mobile would cost more a month subscription 2 to CC.

Come on, Adobe. It's not MY problem, that's YOUR problem. Difficulty CC, or make files to upgrade available for direct download. Surely it wouldn't be too ask?

So I seem to have overcome that problem-, but the solution is not ideal. If I use my mobile wifi dongle I can start the download, updates - then once get to 3-4% of plug in the ethernet cable again, disable wifi and that is - the end of the download via a wired connection.

    ·        It's a wired keyboard or a wireless keyboard?

    ·        Who is the manufacturer of keyboard?

    ·        Since when are you facing this problem?

    ·        You did changes to the computer before this problem started?

    ·        Have you tried to restart the computer and check if the keyboard works normally?

    However, you can try to uninstall all the previous and software drivers installed for the keyboard by following the steps below.  More later, restart the computer and install the latest drivers and software and check if that helps you solve the problem.

    Step 1

    Remove the drivers from the computer. To remove the drivers to follow the steps below:

    a. Click Start and enter the type of search box of start of the press and "appwiz.cpl".

    b. in the programs and features window select the keyboard software installed on the computer and uninstall the drivers.

    Step 2

    During the uninstallation, the device in the Device Manager, make sure that you follow the steps below:

    a. Click Start.

    b. access control panel > system > hardware > Device Manager.

    c. open Device Manager and expand the keyboard device.

    d. right-click on the device keyboard and uninstall the device.

    -Do you get the error message when you install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 or .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 CLR Security Update?

    Follow the steps below to solve the problem:

    Step 1: Offline installation

     

    Download and save the Setup on your desktop package and try to install the same.

    Download the update from the link below:

    Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2

    Step 2:

    If the error message you mentioned appears when you try to install .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 CLR Security Update, follow these steps:

    a. Uninstall kb 976569 and kb 976570 of Add/Remove Programs.

    b. install kb 974417

    c. reinstall 976569 kb and kb 976570

    Thanks for the response back.

    The command explained in article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314882 if applies also for Vista, we have been able to run the command.

    Some possible causes for failure Remote Desktop connection are:
    a. authentication level is low/disabled.
    (b) the port of remote desktop can be blocked by a firewall.
    c. remote connections might not be enabled on the remote computer.
    d. the remote computer may be asleep or hibernating.
    e. e user account doesn't have a password.
    f. the remote computer may be too busy to accept more connections.

    To resolve all of the above causes, follow the steps listed under "I can't connect to the remote computer:

    DJ, the version number is in the subject line: 5.7.1. It's weird because this version should support the D5300 very well. My main guess would be a bad player or a bad USB cable.
