error 1310

I get a 1310 error message when trying to install java and turbo tax.  I tried right clicking and choosing run as administrator and I still have the same error message.  I tried also share directories with the administrator and user accounts and you still does not work.  I don't know what else to try!  Help, please.

Hello

Interesting things. Basically, the 1310 error occurs usually when you install Office 2000. See KB:

http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=296175

As you have problems with Java/turbo tax on this issue, this makes me curious to know if you have some Microsoft programs (Office likely) inherited installed which could interfere with the installation. What should do? Go ahead and install and run the program msicuu2 at this link:

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301

It is an uninstall of Microsoft program which is useful for removing programs that cannot be achieved by the standard uninstall method. Go ahead and remove the old Microsoft products you are no longer using-glance especially for Office 2000 products.

ALSO:

Just in general, installation errors can happen and usually do if you have an antivirus or a firewall is enabled during the installation. To be on the safe side, turn off also the two scan virus/firewall software. When it comes to disabled as well as potential interference programs are uninstalled... Go ahead and try again. Should work ok. Hope this helps,

    Hello

Some applications or services may cause these error messages. Services are specialized programs that perform functions to support other programs. Disable other applications, including startup items (items that start automatically with Windows) and services by performing a clean boot on your computer. This helps identify the third-party software that is causing the problem to occur.

  • Error 1310 during the installation of Adobe reader.

Vista Home premium.  I tried a single repair for this error.  I can't do a reinstall/upgrade as suggested I bought a disc of upgrade and it only let me do a full installation and not an upgrade.

Here is a list of articles on Error1310 from the Adobe website: http://community.adobe.com/help/search.html?searchterm=Error+1310&q=Error+1310&l=reader_product_adobelr&x=0&y=0&area=0&lr=en_US&hl=en_US.  We help you with your problem.

Otherwise, try the Adobe Forums - this is specific for Adobe Reader: http://forums.adobe.com/community/adobe_reader_forums/adobe_reader.

I do not understand about the purchase of drives for Adobe Reader is free and I do not think that it is distributed by disc.  Re-installation of Vista is NOT the answer to this problem (if it even does nothing to resolve all that is the problem)-there must be a simpler solution and you can find it on the sites above.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Thanks - Lenox

    Hello Lenox,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

If you have a disk of Vista installation and not a recovery disk, you can try an in place upgrade to repair the operating system.

The upgrade in place is a tool to fix the system. Thanks to the special upgrade process, we will be able to repair the system. The upgrade in place will not affect the settings like photos, movies, documents, etc. that are saved on the computer. Although this operation will not remove or modify the files and installed programs, I suggest always that you back up important files before you do. In addition, you may need to reinstall the device drivers after this operation.

The detailed steps are included as below:

    On-site upgrade
    ====================
1 log on to the system first.
    2. Insert the Windows Vista DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
    3. Click Start and select computer.
    4. find the "setup.exe" file in the DVD-ROM and double-click it.

    5. click on install now.

    6. When you are prompted to enter the product key, please click Next directly without entering any key. The installation wizard will prompt and ask if you confirm to install Windows Vista without the key and choose please confirm.

    7. When you get to the screen ' which type of installation you want', click upgrade to upgrade the Windows Vista system files.

Note: When running the upgrade on the spot, the system will restart automatically (several times) to merge the files and programs, please leave the computer alone and does not configure it until the 'upgrade on the spot"finished. The system should start Windows vista once it is upgraded. Once the computer is running "upgrade on the spot", you can go and leave the computer and it completes automatically.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

  • Error 1310 Shell Visual Studio 2010 isolated (redistributable)

So I'll try to install Visual Studio 2010 isolated Shell (redistributable) on my computer, I'm using Windows 7 32 bit, incidentally, and every time I get an error saying "error 1310.Error writing to file: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v.4.0.30319\Microsoft.Visualbasic.vsa.xml.» Make sure you have access to this directory", the thing is that there is no and I claimed ownership of the entire record of the Microsoft.NET, including of course all folder, subfolder and files stored in the breast, I also UAC disabled, but I get the same error, saying I have no access to a file that does not exist, so I download the file from the internet However I can not put the file in the v.4.0.30319 folder because it is says I need permission to perform this action, I can choose to cancel or retry, but try once again is useless because it does nothing other than the display of the window with the same options still I have full ownership of the folders, I triple checked , and I have disabled UAC. Thank you for your time, hope you can help me solve this problem
