  First of all, make sure that no proxy server is causing this issue.
  Click on the round to start, in the search field type cmd
  Right click on cmd.exe and select "Run as Administrator". Accept the UAC prompt.

  At the prompt, enter the following command exactly as written including spaces and press enter

  netsh winhttp see power of Attorney

  If this message appears, type exit, and then press enter

  Direct access

  If a proxy is listed, then type the following and press enter

  netsh winhttp reset proxy

  Then type in the output, press ENTER to close the command prompt.
  See if the system can update now.

• SE 8024008 error when you try to update Windows Vista 32 Service Pack 1 to Service Pack 2

  Hello

  This Dell Inspiron notebook running Windows Vista 32-bit Service Pack 1 and Windows Vista stopped editing about a year ago.  I just got the Service of update to start working again, a sort of...
  However, when I tried to update to Service Pack 2, it gave me error 80246008 and when I tried the link to fix, Services did not show the background BITS Intelligent Transfer Service () in respect of the services, so I followed the suggestions of Jose Antonio Ponton Posada CEO and tried the repair tool valid my Windows Vista 32 BIT and run the tool , but he said that repair BITS is not required on this computer.
  I checked the State of the Windows event log, and it was running.
  Please tell us how can I update Windows Vista Service Pack 1 running on this computer for the current Service Pack.
