error 800b0100 trying to install update KB978262

I am trying to run the update update Cumulative security for ActiveX Killbits for Windows Vista (KB978262), but it keeps failing and come up with error 800b0100. On this error code checking, it suggests that the file is not saved correctly with windows and system update readiness tool can fix.

I am running Vista Home premium, my system is 32 - bit with service pack 2, and I don't see it listed in the system update readiness tool webpage.

Can someone tell what I need to do. Thank you

If stand-alone packages install not so maybe I would be looking at interference, see 3 & 4.

Yes, I know that you have not installed a service pack, it is a guide for you to consider. TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2010 - Update Services
