Error "Acrobat 8 Professional cannot be launched. CS3

Hello world

I have a MacBook Pro with 10.7.5 and CS3. My Acrobat 8 Professional does not open and gives the error message "Acrobat 8 Professional cannot be launched at this time. You must run at least another component suite (for example Adobe Photoshop) before launching Acrobat 8 Professional. »

I already had Photoshop opens when I received this message, so I googled my error message and found this error "Acrobat 8 Professional cannot launched | CS3

I followed the instructions for the Solution 2:

Solution 2: Move the folders of PDF of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe PCD (Mac OS only)

  • Quit all open Adobe applications.

  • In the Finder, navigate to/Library/Application Support / Adobe at the root of the boot disk (not the library folder inside the user's Home folder).

  • Move the following files to your folder of Documents or somewhere else safe:

  • Acrobat
  • Adobe PCD
  • Adobe PDF

Important: Do not delete these files.

  • Open Acrobat 8 Professional.

Enter your serial number when prompted.

When I entered the serial number that goes with my software it said it was invalid and I could not even open Acrobat, but now none of my Creative Suite would work as they all said that they were not registered. Thank God for Time Machine! Then I reinstalled the files and all other components are working again, but I can not yet open Acrobat. Help!

I hope someone can tell me what to do. Thank you.

Try to update to the latest version of Acrobat 8 available online, and then try solution 3.
