error code 1317 in windows 8

I got this error code occur with the installation of several different elements, but one of particular importance to me is Open office.

Specifically, the error indicates that the problem is with the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Star Menu directory

I tried:

running both an exe to install that I downloaded and installed by the installer app in the windows menu start

run the exe to install as administrator

login as an administrator and do all these things

I run compmgmt.msc and allowed all the permissions.

I tried to change the settings of the read-only folder, but when I do always immediately changes, even when I do it from the command line
(Moved from programs other/unknown)

What is the accurate and complete error message that you receive?

Also you can check that the following folder exists:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\StartData

If this file exists, what is in this folder?

The ProgramData folder is 'hidden' so make sure that you are displaying the hidden files and folders.

There is a link available now where you can upload an image from 8.1 to win without a key needed to download... You can save an ISO, create a Flash drive or burn a DVD...

    Hello

Have you tried to connect this smartphone to the different USB ports on your laptop Satellite C850-B252?

    If this isn't it.

As far as I know the laptop supports a USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports and it is strongly recommended to test all USB ports.

In addition, you can use a USB Y cable that lets connect you this smartphone to two USB ports at the same time. In the event that this problem is related to the low-power USB port, this cable may be the solution.

  • Error Code 8007000D install Windows updates

I'm running Windows 7 on a Lenovo X200S.  Windows Update worked until about a month or two ago and has since been giving me "unknown error code' 8007000D.  I ran the Mr. Fixit tool in aggressive mode and it did not help.  I downloaded and installed KB947821 (sytems update tool) manually and it still does not work.  Suggestions how to fix this would be appreciated.  Thank you.

8007000D - Error_invalid_data.  Corruption in the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.  Please rename
    %windir%/SoftwareDistribution folder.

This is how you do it in Vista so I guess it's the same thing in Windows 7 (check that you restart however that the folder cannot be recreated properly without a reboot).

How to rename the software D folder in Vista - distribution agent version

    1. stop the Windows Update service (make sure that you are logged on as administrator)

Start button | Control Panel | System and Maintenance | Administration tools
    Double-click on Services
(Provide the administrator password or a confirmation if prompted to do so.)
Right-click the Windows Update service and click on stop.

    2. Click Start, type %windir%\System32 in the search box and press ENTER.

Find and rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.

    3. start the Windows Update service

Start button | Control Panel | System and Maintenance | Administration tools
    Double-click on Services
(Provide the administrator password or a confirmation if prompted to do so.)
Right-click the Windows Update service and click Start.

This procedure will erase your history on the Windows Update Site. Not important.
You can always check what updates have been installed quite easily.
