Range of custom error codes and error rings/Labview 2013 SP1
Hello
for the error message personalized codes there are these assigned ranges:
-8999-by-8000
5000 to 9999
500 000 to 599 999If I create an "error ring" in Labview 2013 SP1, then I am able to choose predefined error codes or I can put in some custom error codes. Curious as I was I chose 'Labview' in the menu drop down and looked up some error codes. I noticed that there are some affected error codes that are of the order of custom error codes (see attachment) of 538170 to 538193.
Is this a bug or feature? What is the impact if I defined error codes customized with identical, already existing error codes?
Kind regards
Thomas
Thomas,
It seems you have installed ModBus library. As it is an additional package, picking "custom error codes" is not bad even if the library fits in LV...

Hello
I tried to delete a file using the method delete() to FileConnections and continues to throw an IOException 25 error code.
I'm sure I close all instances of the object fileconnection after their use... Any help?
Problem solved:
I have been using the next code in the knowledge base article here for parsing Xml from a file:
conn=(StreamConnection)Connector.open ("http://localhost:8000/content/test.xml"); //next few lines creates variables to open a //stream, parse it, collect XML data and //extract the data which is required. //In this case they are elements, //node and the values of an element DocumentBuilderFactory docBuilderFactory = DocumentBuilderFactory. newInstance(); DocumentBuilder docBuilder = docBuilderFactory.newDocumentBuilder(); docBuilder.isValidating(); doc = docBuilder.parse(conn.openInputStream()); doc.getDocumentElement ().normalize (); NodeList list=doc.getElementsByTagName("*");
This is the same example that people follow in the forum (something I noticed, not necessarily the production code that people use but nevertheless).
And normally people would be a () conn.close after parsing (code red).
What I thought was closing all the active connections. But it seems that it is really does'nt.
And so a simple solution is to do...
InputStream stream= conn.openInputStream(); doc = docBuilder.parse(stream); stream.close(); conn.close();
This ensures that all streams close.

The Session history sampled session 1263 series 41
---------------------------------------------------
History of the sampled session is built by sampling
the session target all the 1 second. The sampling process
capture to each sample, if the session is in an active waiting.
a wait inactive, or not in a wait. If the session is in a
active wait interval then one is indicated for all samples
the session was in the same active waiting. If the
session is in an inactive waiting or not waiting for
consecutive samples then one interval is indicated for all
consecutive samples. If we post these consecutive
samples in a single interval session may NOT be permanently
inactive or not in a wait (the sampling process is unclear).
The history is displayed in reverse chronological order.
