The second update fails poster KB975929 error code and when you right click on the update it shows the detail 80242006 error code. I tried Mr. Fixit for these codes and it says that it failed. I tried manually and it has not yet. I have a 32-bit system with 4 GB of Ram. The system is a Dell XPS M1530. I had to reformat my hard drive today and these are the only two updates that failed to run.

  Each manufacturer is different things about the recovery partition.  You need to contact the computer manufacturer (online - they can publish procedures - or by telephone) for instructions on how to use the recovery disk (there are probably a combination of special keys at boot that activates the process).  Keep in mind that this type of resettlement will completely eliminate your primary system partition, so don't forget to backup your important data until you try it.
