Error Code error 802400D Windows 7 64 bit upgrade

This error code is returned when the automatic installer in Windows 7 cannot install the update. When tempting to try again the display shows after 2 hours it always creates a restore point. All hard drives are working properly. No hardware or software problem is discovered elsewhere.

can 1, you explain what this error code indicates?

2. Why is there a list available to users of the site error codes?

3. to ask Bing returns hundreds of responses for the wrong operating system and the error code.

4. this software to ask questions is very frustrating because mousing back to correct a spelling error deletes all the text after the cursor automatically. What is the point of making the impossible corrections?

How about a 8024400d mistake?...

You may encounter temporary connection related errors {[for example, 8024400d] when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install updates}

  • A6511.uk Pavilion: Pavilion a6511.uk windows 7 64 bit upgrade

I have improved my a6511.uk Pavilion from Vista to Windows 7 32-bit of the disk to upgrade without problem and been running this for a few years now. I installed 2 additional 1 GB memory DIMM in the slot 3 and 4 to take up to 4 GB, as indicated by both HP and Kingston as a specific system upgrade for this model. The BIOS and windows both report of 4 GB. «The reading of the form of specification of motherboard site HP it is said ' 32-bit PC can not solve a full 4.0 GB memory»

Although the office comes with Vista 32 bit and I have upgraded to Windows 7 32 bit, the processor is 64-bit, so I have three questions:

1 will be available the additional 2 GB of memory in the current 32-bit OS (Windows 7 32-bit is asked to use up to 4 GB of RAM), or if I wasted my money with this upgrade?

    2. Windows 7 can be upgraded to 64-bit on this computer (I have the required upgrade disc comes with the 32-bit upgrade disk that works on the same key)?

    3. If I switch to Windows 7 64 bit upgrade tool, I would do this as a pure install or use windows, and the 64-bit system will have drivers to support this machine?

If the system can run on a 64-bit system, the question is why not with a 64-bit processor Devil!

Thanks to all those that can help you - the next step is to upgrade the HARD drive for one 240 GB SSD (an another HP/Kingston class upgrade), but I want to get this sorted out first.

Put in the extra memory for 32-bit OS wouldn't give you much of a performance increase.

You could install an OS 64 bit Windows 7 on the computer, but drivers can be a challenge that HP has no Win 7 drivers.  Drivers of this thread look like your system can work.  If this isn't the case, we can help you.

With a Windows 7 64 bit installed you would be able to upgrade your memory up to 8 GB.

Yes, Windows 7 will be a free upgrade for Windows 10, find out if it will work on your system may not be 100% sure.  I've seen newer computers not being not able to run win 10 Tech Preview and still some elders will be.  Only a Microsoft Upgrade Advisor will tell you, but it is not yet available.  For now see the minimum requirements to win 10.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/preview-FAQ-system-requirements-PC

Remember you can only switch to Win 10 64-bit only if a prior installed OS was 64-bit.

If you're feeling adventurous, try to install the win 10 Tech Preview now.

  • Scanner Photosmart Premium C310a for error on Windows 7 64 bit

    Hi all

I bought a HP Photosmart Premium C310a this weekend. Everything works fine except the scan. This is what the problem is:

When I try to scan (through the centre of solutions) I get an error message as soon as scanning starts software (hpiscnapp.exe) that says: (translation of the Dutch for some of them may not be accurate) the scan cannot be made because the HP imagingdevice has a network and is used by another program or computer. Try again later.

    Description of the error extended; 4, [(0,400,80004005), (2,33,80040013), (3,33,0)]

Nothing (no other program or computer) is using the scanner at the moment. The strange thing is I have Windows 7 64-bit systems and on the system, 32-bit and Windows 7 32-bit system works very well.  [EDIT: just encountered the same error on the PORTABLE 32-bit too :-(]

Scanning from the façade C310a and selecting the computer also translate this error.

Wireless connection to the C310a directly via an "ad hoc" connection does not either.

I deleted all HP components (including using the abduction utillity L4) and them reinstalled several times. Through the page Web of the C310a scanning is possible, but with resolutions lower (max 600 dpi). I ran the diagnostic HP, no result (HPPS.exe) program.

Context: C310a is wireless in the same network as the three laptop computers box.

    Laptops: 2 x Windows 7 64-bit, 1 x Windows 7 32 bit

No problem: 1 x Windows 7 32 bit [EDIT: just encountered the same error on the PORTABLE 32-bit too :-(]

    Problem: 2 x Windows 7 64 bit.

Been strugling with this problem for a few days. Would be very happy if someone knows how to solve this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    Marco

Hi Travis (and maybe somebody else who will have the same problem in the future).

So I finally got to do the work. Here's what I did. I backed up my data, wiped my laptop completely and reinstalled all software, including 64-bit Windows. Now everything works flawelessly. Don't ask me why, or what caused the problem because I know and still can not understand.

At least everythings works as it should and I hope it will stay like that.

Thanks for your efforts of Travis! I really appreciate it.

  • CS5 error: 6, Windows 7 64 bit

I'm in CS5 Production Premium on Windows 7 64 bit and little more than a week there are photoshop was functioning normally. Recently, he has begun to opens does not and gave me the following error message:

    Configuration error

Please uninstall and reinstall the product.

    Error: 6

In addition, in the lower right, I see a warning windows saying that the PCD\cache from Adobe is damaged and unreadable. It turns out that the rest suffers from this problem. The folder that is supposed to contain the cache.db is unreadable.

I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times so far. The second and third time using tools such as the cleaning of Adobe or Revo Uninstaller tool. After the installation has not changed. There has been no change of material and, to my knowledge, no software updates. It is possible, there was an update of windows when I was not at my computer.

I appreciate the help and if there is other information please let me know what and or the other so as to obtain, or a link that shows me how to get it.

    Thanks again.

The only solution I could find was to completely erase my hard drive, which was late anyway.

It works now, but I hope that nobody else should take care of this.

I've recently updated one of my new PC from Vista Home Premium 64-bit of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Since then, I not was able to print on my network printer, an HP Photosmart C7180 all-in-one, which is wireless on my home network. When this PC is Vista, I was able to print. Two other computers on my home network, both running XP, can access the printer on the network and printing.  This PC now on Windows 7 64-bit can find the network printer when I "Add a printer -" and I am able to complete the installation of the printer.  I downloaded and installed new drivers for the HP C7180 from the site Web HP specifically for Windows 7 64-bit, so I have the latest drivers.
I have NOT install the printer as a device shared on any of the computers, but rather want to be able to print from any of them, even if other computers are offline.
If I open and leave visible the print queue for the printer and then print a Test Page, I see the print job briefly showed the 'Impression' in the display of the print queue, but nothing ever reachs the printer. There is no message error, either during the process of adding the printer, or when sending the Test Pages, or other print jobs to the printer.
I have McAfee antivirus and firewall installed on my PC. Advanced Firewall setting for networks shows that the range of IP addresses for all my IP addresses are approved.
(I spent hours to reinstall the drivers and remove and reinstall the printer and spent a frustrating 2 additional hours with the help of HP without success. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.)

  • Satellite A200 (PSAE6) - RAM on Windows 7 32 bit upgrade

I have a Satellite A200 (PSAE6) and I wanted to put more 2 GB of RAM, but tell me the Windows 7 Ultimate 32 recognizes only 1 GB means a total of 3 GB.

    Is this true?

    Hello

Usually the OS 32-bit Windows recognizes ONLY 3.2 GB of RAM due to the limitation of the 32 bit OS.
Therefore, you cannot use 4 GB of RAM with Windows OS 32-bit (Win XP, Vista, Win 7).

But the upgrade to 4 GB RAM also depends on the chipset and BIOS.
If both parties (BIOS and chipset) are not 4 GB RAM capable then you would not be able to use 4 GB of RAM, even using the 64 bit OS.

    Welcome them
