  • HP Officejet 4632: Scanning and printing photos

How many pages it can scan simultaneously? Is there a certain type of photo paper that should be used with this printer?

    Hi @Faye24,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request.

I understand that you have questions about scan using your HP Officejet 4632 e-all-in-one printer and photo paper. I would like to help.

There are two ways to analyze, either starting from the glass tray, or by using the automatic Feeder (ADF) of Document.

You can scan pages as much as you want. The ADF has a capacity of 50 sheets, so able to load 50 pages up there, if you had to.

The big glass dish limits you to a single page at a time, but when you scan with the HP software it is a button that allows you to scan and create a multiple page PDF when scanning of the bucket.

If you need assistance with the analysis please let me know what what operating system your computer is running so I can provide the appropriate documentation.

When it comes to photo paper, photo paper sizes supported and weight.

HP recommends using HP photo for best results of printing paper. You can click here to see the photo paper HP is available.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • OfficeJet 4632 all-in-one: printer all-in-one

I have a new officejet 4632, and when I type the fax number I can't separate the digits with dashes. example 1-999-9999 mine watch 1999999 owners booklet says to repeat by tapping the star, on the printer keypad key, until it appears. It is not the case and I think it's a design flaw. I tried to call to h.p. to know avail. I hate to take it back to Wal-Mart! If anyone can help me I would be grateful. Thank you charsand1967

    Hey @charsand1967,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are having problems when sending faxes from your new all-in-one printer from HP Officejet 4632. I want to help you with this today. Now, on these new printers there is not need to add dashes when faxing.

    1. You simply arrow down () to the Fax option and select OK
    2. Choose Black or color fax and press OK
    3. Enter the fax number. The number will appear as a long sequence. It's normal. Press OK when you have finished entering the number.
    4. The fax must now compose and send

The only time where you need to worry about putting a dash (-) is when a break is necessary. Breaks are necessary only if you use a card call or card long distance for fax. The break would be added so you can also enter a PIN code with the fax number.

Example: Calling card PIN - 1 (area code) fax number. For example I will use 256 PIN calling card and the fax number of the purposes will be HP Technical Support. When the fax is sent, I would enter the calling card PIN first, then a pause, followed by the fax number. It should look like this:

    • 256-18004746836

With some calling cards, a longer break is necessary. If you need to create a longer break, you can put two dashes.

    • 256 - 18004746836

If you don't need a card call or long distance card, simply enter the fax as a sequence of numbers number and click OK to start Fax.

Please let me know if this clears up any confusion. Good luck!

  • OfficeJet 6000 won't print from computer on our network

Our officejet 6000 won't print from a computer on the network. All 3 computers running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition. The computer we have problems printing used to be able to print to the Officejet 6000, but now he can't.  In devices and printers, it says that the printer is connected, but I can't print a Test Page.  However, if I run the HP Solution Center, it says that the printer is connected and I can go to the Toolbox of the printer and print a printer status report.  The 2 other computers on our network have no problem printing of pages to document and test.  Why would a printer are struggling to print documents and test pages, but be able to print the printer status report?

It's just a problem of connection and communication. The computer and the printer can be on different ports or IP addresses. Here's a link below that can help solve this problem.

  • HP Officejet 4632

Is all-in-one HP Officejet 4632 compatible with Windows XP Professional Version 2002, Service Pack 3? Is my computer: Intel (r) Celeron (R) M; processor 1.30 GHz
1.30 GHz, 0.99 GB of RAM

The short answer is Yes, if you install the full recommended software found here

The longer answer is this OS XP and MS Office 2003 support ending 08/04/2014. Be aware and prepared. No more updates or patches. As IE8 is your limit, any subtle change in coding to IE8 will be limit internet or make it unstable/unusable. I suggest that you are looking for a WIN7 machine as soon as POSSIBLE. • HP Officejet 4632: How to enter special symbols on jet Office 4632

Try to configure the printer for a new wifi password that the % as one of the symbols. How can I enter to complete my installation?

Welcome to the HP community @Marshliz,

I understand you are trying to enter a special character in your wifi password to connect your HP Officejet 4632. I'll be happy to help you.

There are a few different options to connect your printer to a wireless network. If you use the Setup Wizard from the control panel wireless, there is a virtual keyboard that appears on the screen and you may have to navigate through the different menus for the lowercase, uppercase letters and symbols. Below, I've posted a link to a document that has some instructions on how to configure your wireless printer. Please try all the steps in order and get back to me with the results.
  • OfficeJet 6700 won't allow web services.

My new officejet 6700 won't allow web services.  I have a good internet connection via a DSL modem/router.  I tried a wired connection and Wi - Fi.  Nothing works.  I can see the printer and the status of ink etc. to the ip address of a computer on the local network.

    sko1947,

I suggest you set a static ip address of the dns servers and the address of this printer as it has resolved questions like these in the past.

Before we begin, we need a network with your current connection settings configuration page. To do this, press the arrow to the right and go to settings. From there on, we want to select 'Network', then 'Print Network Configuration.

After that you have, we will need to access the built-in Web server (EWS) printers. You can do this by entering the IP address of printers (from the Network Setup page) browser press and the address bar type.

Once there, press the 'Network' tab at the top of the page. From there, you'll want to click on the button "IPv4", on the f-side of the page. It will be there for wireless and wired, so make sure you click the one for you, but you are connected. If you do not see "IPv4", you should see 'Networking', press and press "Network Address (IP).

Then, you click the small round button next to "Manual"IP address", and then fill in the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway using the information available on the network configuration page.

For the primary or the preferred DNS server, you will want to enter 8.8.8.8. For secondary school or another DNS server, you will want to write 8.8.4.4.

Click on apply and when the message appears saying that the changes have been applied, press 'OK '.

Press the power button on your printer, wait that it completely power off and press it again to power it on.

After doing this, go ahead and try to reactivate Web Services. It should work now, but if not, let me know and I we can try something else.

  • HP Officejet 4632 All in One – scanning with a vertical line through the document.

Just bought the machine less than a month ago.  Faxes and prints fine and until last week was the sweep for our laptops beautifully... but now is scanning with a dark vertical line up and down the sheet about 1/3 in the document.  What is the cause and how can I "fix" it?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hi Rohi63.

I understand that you have a 4632 Officejet which becomes a vertical line what it is scanned. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'll do my best to help you.

This seems not only to be the case when using the automatic document feeder, or the glass flat?

Usually something like this is caused because there is something on the glass. If it only happens when you use the scanner, please get a lint cloth and some glass cleaner (Windex or water if nothing else is available) and wipe the entire surface of the glass for scanning. If this only happens when scanning via the charger, you will see there is a separate strip of glass on the left looking at the scan glass, and you can focus your cleaning there.

If this does not resolve the issue please try the steps in cleaning several times, but if nothing seems to evolve, please make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet so that we know, that he has all the power it needs.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • OfficeJet 4632: Officejet 4632 installation Via the network

    Hello

I bought a 4632 Officejet (which AFAIK is the same as the 4630) at ALDI in Germany, and when I tried to set up for printing from a Windows 7 PC on the same network, Windows found "two": printers

-"HPAA6648 (HP Officejet 4630 series)' at the address http://192.168.xx.xx:3911 / (beginning with"http://"and with annex 3911 port)

-"Officejet 4630 series (HP)' at the address of 192.168.xx.xx (without"http://"and specific port)

What is the difference, and that should be used?

The only difference I see is that to access the 192.168.xx.xx since the browser gives me the web configuration page, while http://192.168.xx.xx:3911 / gives me a useless XML page.

Impression regarding both seem to print as well, using the same drivers.

    Hi @PietKram,

I understand that you see 2 printer and can print both of them all the same, but want to know that you should be selection.

I suggest using the 192.168.xx.xx (without "http://" and specific port). The reason is that it allows an open line of communication rather than restrict communication to the printer to a port. If you choose the one with the port, it might well work, that you have described, it is, but it can only be short term. If this port is blocked, you will probably be able to print.

  • 7612 All In One OfficeJet: HP Officejet 7612 won't print without margins on A3 + photo paper.

Just bought an Officejet 7612 specifically for printing photos without edge of 13 X 19. I use Windows 8.1 and tried 5 different paint and photo printing programs. All programs list the same options of paper size for the 7612 (choice 2 choices, and 7610 series watch regular and fax printer). The only options for 13 X 19 or A3 + with HP advanced paper selected photo is low-margin. I went to options/settings and selected the printer printing without margins, but all attempts to cause a small margin. I don't use HP Photo Creations because he won't open a TIFF, which has better quality than JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, offers the only options Photo Creations. There are choices for edge to edge printing, but for the smaller paper sizes. I lose paper photo cheap and need help to resolve this.  Thank you

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

Stop wasting your expensive paper right now.

I can't read this correctly - you may not be able to do with the 13 X 19 inch Photo paper.

Take a look at the Plug - plain paper for this size, YES - printer Photo Paper: not-so-good.

If you can't, don't shoot messenger.
