Error in link to a PDF of the HTMLResources folder

I'm doing a button that will open a pdf file. I set up my HTMLResources file with the pdf file, created the HTMLResources.zip and when I click the button I get the error message: "The requested URL was not found on this server." (- 1100). Help!

As Bob drove to, a common error is to the folder that contains the files rather than compress the files in the zip folder. Select PDFs and other files in the folder, compress and import. Then the button to the PDF file should work.

    Cannot create the folder means that you don't have WRITE permission for this folder. Then... change your permissions.

  • Print to pdf in the same folder the original file

    Is possible to automate this process:

    1. any application, choose Save as pdf (print to PDF or print to a pdf printer).
    2. Save the file in the same folder the original file;
    3. set the password (no copy) this new file?

    Thank you.

    Gianluca.

    The original and the PDF files have different extensions, so they can be saved in the same folder.

    Regarding automation you might see if you can use Automator to do. Find it in your Applications folder.

    Have you tried to use a distinct and 3rd party FTP client? If you can successfully connect and download to aid what he would suggest process FTP of Dreamweaver is messed up. And unfortunately, this is not surprising as it may seem, it is a part of Dreamweaver, I can meet quite regularly problems with. You can try to play with the site settings by using the Advanced Options tab, which will provide you with some additional settings for the FTP and see if that helps. Otherwise, you will have to just work around it with another FTP client.

  • Assemble PDFs in the network folder

    Hello

    I am trying to assemble PDF files located in a network folder.

    <? XML version = "1.0"? >

    " < DDX xmlns =" http://ns.Adobe.com/DDX/1.0/ ">

    < result = 'PDF PDFA.pdf' >

    < source="\\w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder\PID_APR_P111556.pdf"/ PDF >

    < source="\\w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder\PID_P111556.pdf"/ PDF >

    < / PDF >

    < / DDX >

    When the assembler service is called with the DDX above, I get an error like below,

    com.adobe.internal.ddxm.DDXMException: com.adobe.internal.pdfm.CollateralNotFoundException:

    DDXM_S14017: A < PDF > source is necessary, but no documents were found for {PDF source="\\w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder\PID_APR_P111556.pdf' baseDocument = 'true'}.

    I also tried to give the names of files as specified in the DDXREF HelpFile as below,

    file:///dir-path/filename (file:///w2msmossmgn02/SharedFolder/PID_APR_P111556.pdf) , but that didn't work either.

    Can pls help?

    Thank you

    Sandeep.

    There are two options I can see:

    1 - map a drive (on the server) to the w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder and use this mapping in the source.  For example: if I can drive X to w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder then my DDX would have the entry:

    2 use the operation 'Read Document' to read PDF files in a variable (or a list of document) and then use the "Summon DDX" operation to map variables to the entries in the source PDF.

  • Electronic signature not saved when you save the PDF to the network folder

    Hello, I have read the forums on the Adobe reader XI not save signatures when using network drives and I encounter the same problem. We have deployed player now, we are unable to save on network drives without making a copy renaming. Obviously, this can not happen that our database will be chaos. We have tried to save it on the desktop all the signs of work and download requires a name change. so all the arrows point to adobe of networking... I saw no solution but messages blaming for the network without any valid reasoning or advice on a remedy to this situation. does anyone have an idea, one that can be done to solve this problem? If there is a post in the forums that solves this and is not the same answer spammed through the forums indicating that it is the network and not real work around or solution I can't. any help would be greatly appreciated!

    seems only valid workaround is Adobe DC not sign in. the same work. but actually works on networks.

  • Is there a good way to automate changing existing links to external PDF to be attachments in PDF with the same names?

    Greetings!

    Can someone tell me a good way to automate changing hyperlinks existing PDF 'main' to an external PDF rather do links to attachments PDF for the main PDF (the PDF attached to have the same filenames as the external PDF files)?

    The current link to main PDF format:
    Navigate to a page in another document
    File: C:\\path\filename.pdf
    Name of the destination: P:1

    When the link is manually changed to link to a PDF file that was attached to the main PDF:

    Navigate to a page in another document
    : PDF attachment
    Page: 1
    Zoom level: page Fit

    The new PDF link does not list the name of the attachment PDF file in the link.

    The file main PDF (the one that has the connection I would change automatically) is generated with hyperlinks to other documents PDF from Adobe FrameMaker 11.  In FrameMaker11, we have added text marker special "openpage filename.pdf:1' which is 'automatically' has been changed to hyperlinks to PDF files external when the main PDF file is created (postscript file is processed) Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.

    My first choice is to be able to change the format of the text in the file source Adobe FrameMaker special marker, but I found no way to specify a link for a PDF attachment with a certain file name.

    However, I also very much the ability to run a command on a main PDF file to change the links there.

    Has anyone tried using only Adobe ExtendScript ToolKit CS6? In other words, a script that could automatically change the hyperlinks in a PDF document to a link to attachments in PDF instead of external PDF files, or to modify the links not transformed, while they are still in Postscript file format format, or change the text in FrameMaker marker instead of creating a link to a PDF file in the same directory as the main processing PDF to create a link to a PDF attachment files?

    Thank you

    FrameMaker hyperlink feature has no ability to "connect" with an attachment on/in a PDF target.

    PDFs from FM may have named destinations listed FM files created as a link of file01.fm to the named destination specified in file01.fm will be functional in the PDF files created from the files of FM.

    Then, of course, it is the possible dynamics by use o FM books. But it is the grist mills in the FM 2 user forum.

    RE: Script - PDF scripting is via Acrobat JavaScript. It is something yet and by Adobe, even though it may migrate to a Standard ISO (or be wound in a future standard ISO 32000).

    Then, to the point - look at Acrobat JavaScript for the script.

  • Links in a PDF document.

    I am creating a PDF with Acrobat Pro 10.1.12, with links to other inside PDF files. But there's a catch. I need to be able to use these PDF files and links on different machines. When I create everything on my computer, it works perfectly. If this isn't a problem. The problem is to get that they work on other computers. I'm trying to use DropBox to store my files, so that they would have a central location. But no matter what I try to do, the link will always be my local computer. I don't know if it's a question of do not use DropBox correctly or the way Acrobat creates links. When I open the DropBox folder, the files are the location of C:\Users\bhouk\Dropbox\Test. So, whenever I create a link, this is the address that it uses.

    I'm really at a loss here and I don't know if what I said makes no sense. If you could help me, I would be very happy.

    When you create a link in Acrobat to another file it's relative by default.

    which means that it points to the relative location of this file in the

    location of the "main" PDF file If you move then the two files to another location

    (a different folder on the same computer, or even another computer) and

    maintain their location relative to the other, and then the link should always

    work. This will not be the case, of course, if you share files online.

    In this case, you need to use the URL links, not links to files.

  • "open doc" javascript based on the name of the original pdf, for example pdf a5.pdf a button to open the b5.pdf because the script is able to know its "5"

    I hope this makes sense.

    I have two sets of PDF files containing 100 + individual pages (for a total of 200 pages in a single file)

    Set/series 1: a1, a2, a3-> a100

    Set/series 2: b1, b2, b3-> b100

    I would like to create a button on every page that opens to a page number corresponding to the other series of pdf.

    If I click the button open the file location that is sitting on the a50, for example, it will open b50.

    Any tips or clues on how I can run this? Probably a smart way to isolate the number (last character) "50", the name of the pdf existing and adding 'b' for 'b50' as the file to open at the end of the text?

    If you have a file called "a50.pdf" and you want to add a button that will open "b50.pdf" in the same folder? That's good enough?

    If so, you can use this code:

    var this.documentFileName = fname;

    fname = fname.replace (/ ^ has /, "b");

    app.openDoc ({cPath: fname, oDoc: this});

    If you want a link in 'b50.pdf' that opens "a50.pdf" just change the second line to:

    fname = fname.replace (/ ^ b /, "a");

  • Create a link to a PDF multi-page to another?

    Hello

    I have an InDesign document with a page eight long PDF placed in it. I need to recreate a link to this PDF to dozens of PDFs one at a time and export the layout after each reissue of links. How can I go

    1. Let the user choose a folder where are all the linked PDF files (something like var newLinks = File.openDialog ("Select new links", null, true) ;))
    2. recreate a link to the PDF file in the layout with each PDF in the selected folder one at a time (firstpdf.pdf to secondpdf.pdf, firstpdf.pdf:2 to secondpdf.pdf:2 etc) <-this is the problem
    3. export the introduction relinked in PDF after each reissue of links (it's pretty simple)

    Any ideas on how to make this new release of links part multipage? I am running cs5.5, but it would be nice to have this work in cs6 as well.

    Any help appreciated,

    Patrik-

    OK, I solved it by going in a slightly different way as I wrote above:

    1. Choose the folder in which the links are
    2. Browse related files (which have been selected in step 1), then itereate through all pages of the document
    3. on each page, place the correspondence page number of the document page in the linked current file
    4. export before moving on to the next file

    This way I had the problem of having multiple instances of the same linked file.

    Solved!
