Assemble PDFs in the network folder

Hello

I am trying to assemble PDF files located in a network folder.

<? XML version = "1.0"? >

" < DDX xmlns =" http://ns.Adobe.com/DDX/1.0/ ">

< result = 'PDF PDFA.pdf' >

< source="\\w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder\PID_APR_P111556.pdf"/ PDF >

< source="\\w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder\PID_P111556.pdf"/ PDF >

< / PDF >

< / DDX >

When the assembler service is called with the DDX above, I get an error like below,

com.adobe.internal.ddxm.DDXMException: com.adobe.internal.pdfm.CollateralNotFoundException:

DDXM_S14017: A < PDF > source is necessary, but no documents were found for {PDF source="\\w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder\PID_APR_P111556.pdf' baseDocument = 'true'}.

I also tried to give the names of files as specified in the DDXREF HelpFile as below,

file:///dir-path/filename (file:///w2msmossmgn02/SharedFolder/PID_APR_P111556.pdf) , but that didn't work either.

Can pls help?

Thank you

Sandeep.

There are two options I can see:

1 - map a drive (on the server) to the w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder and use this mapping in the source.  For example: if I can drive X to w2msmossmgn02\SharedFolder then my DDX would have the entry:

2 use the operation 'Read Document' to read PDF files in a variable (or a list of document) and then use the "Summon DDX" operation to map variables to the entries in the source PDF.

Hello, I have read the forums on the Adobe reader XI not save signatures when using network drives and I encounter the same problem. We have deployed player now, we are unable to save on network drives without making a copy renaming. Obviously, this can not happen that our database will be chaos. We have tried to save it on the desktop all the signs of work and download requires a name change. so all the arrows point to adobe of networking... I saw no solution but messages blaming for the network without any valid reasoning or advice on a remedy to this situation. does anyone have an idea, one that can be done to solve this problem? If there is a post in the forums that solves this and is not the same answer spammed through the forums indicating that it is the network and not real work around or solution I can't. any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Export InDesign PDF to the network server becomes invisible

    Hello

Just upgraded to InDesign CS5. When I export a PDF document and post on network server, it becomes invisible. I don't know this because when I exporter export on my desktop, and then drag in the network folder, it gives me an error message that it cannot replace an invisible file. So I found a way to display the file invisible, trashed it, then led one on my desktop in the network folder. Worked well. I would prefer not to have to do this EVERY time I have export to PDF. Someone at - it experience with this issue? Help?

I think I found the answer. On the mac who has had this problem connect the shared drive/server was using Apple file Protocol (AFP) instead of the SMB protocol. Once we changed the connection to this AFP in SMB server all our Mac computers can save directly to the server and files are visible. I hope this helps.

  • ScanJet 4500: ScanJet 4500 fn1 cannot connect to the network folder

Brand new, out-of-the-box fn1 ScanJet 4500.  I set up to scan to a network folder.  The scanner receives a valid IP address (via a DHCP reservation).  I turned all functions of the scanner turned off wireless.

After the addition of a network path of the folder and the user ID/password combo valid (Yes, the ID has the full control permission to the folder), by tapping on the icon of the folder on the touchscreen yields:

"[Name of the Scan entry] is unable to connect.  Check the network, ensure that the remote computer is turned on, and then try again. »

It is, of course, a very generic and without relevant message.

It is a domain environment so I tried:

    Domain\username user + password

    username + password

    username@domain + password

The tests within the Web yields Panel scan the green check mark and "the test has been successfully completed. Path of the network folder is saved. »

Change the host name of the IP address of the server has been running.  In the path to the folder, instead of:

    \\SERVERNAME\path\path\path

    I used

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 + scan if there is no configuration for the network folder

The printer is wireless to my router and I connect to a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable.  The computer is running Windows 7SP1 Home Premium 64.

During the original installation of the printer 3 days ago, I used the wizard set up 'scan to a network folder' a record 'scans public '.  He created the 'profile' correctly and worked well the first time I scanned (I scanned the 3 or 4 times with different tweaks to experiment).  However the next day it no longer worked error on the printer was, 'could not connect to \\Computername\Public scan. Check that the remote computer is on. "Obviously, the computer was on, some communication problems only happened from one day to the next day, he was sitting unattended.  Hmmmmm.  Note that the option "Scan to Computer" works very well, so communication is simply no "scan to network folder" option and I really want to scan to a network folder.

I went in a private "Scans" folder on my account and created a share as 'DadsScans', creating permissions and following all the tips I've come across so far.  Then I tried many times with the wizard to create a new configuration in the profile and all have failed and yes I found the network and turned on file sharing.  Also remember that it worked fine the first night?

I tried to enter the local path to the folder (C:\users\dad\My analysis) with a share name (DadsScans), but the error message after choosing the option "test and save" was, "error.  Your printer cannot connect to the server.  Press 'Back' to correct the address and the name of the server.  Setting is not saved. »

I then tried to enter the share name directly in the path of the network folder, like "\\computername\DadsScans", but the error was "error.  Your printer cannot connect to the server.  Press 'Back' to correct the address and the name of the server.  Make sure that network discovery and file sharing are turned on... "Note, I also tried,"\\computer Address\DadsScans IP"and got the same error.

Finally, I disabled my firewall and my anti-virus in real time and tried again and got the same error messages.

Once again, my network discovery and file sharing are on and it worked fine the first time I've used suggesting that everything was fine.  What happened during the night, so that the printer and computer sitting idle?  I've changed NOTHING!  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well well, after several hours of attempts to solve the problem, the 'light bulb went on!  The night after that I configured the "scan to network folder" option, we had some difficulties with our network so I reset our modem and DSL router.  Who cleaned the problems of network with devices.  It is apparently broke something with the communications between the scanner and the computer.  A simple re-start the computer tonight and wa - la, the original public scan I configure worked again and I could create new profiles of "scanning to '!

  • two computers on a network (wireless) but three show upward in the network folder

I have a Dell Inspiron under Vista x 64 (server) and a Dell Vostro, computer laptop, running on Vista x 86 (client) and a printer (USB Server) network associated with a Cisco WRT400N... everything works fine. However, in the network folder, on computer, I get an icon for a third computer. When it is explored it looks exactly like my server... but it has its own unique name... and I have only the above two networked computers. I worked with a Cisco service representative yesterday to ensure that all goes well with my router. I don't know I've caused this... now... can someone tell me how to UN-cause it?

    Hi runslong,

It is possible that computers on the same network can be duplicate themselves.

I suggest that you disable the discovery of the network on the computer and later get back, check if it works.

    To turn off network discovery
    a. open the network and sharing Center by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click network and Internet, click network and sharing Center.
    b. click turn off network discovery, and then click apply. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Enable or disable network discovery
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/enable-or-disable-network-discovery

If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you unplug all the devices connected to the network and then reconfigure the new network, check if it works.

    I hope this helps!

  • Does not include the network folder in the document library

I'm a network administrator.  I created a %username\documents for all users folder and apply the necessary security.  For most users, I make this folder available offline, and I'm able to include in their document library.

For the last two users I did this, but failed to include the folder in the Documents, the error that it is not indexed.  On the server, the drive and the subfolders are all able to be indexed in the settings.  The file is properly sync to the computer.  But I still get the error that the file is not indexed.
I have disabled the sync on the computer, has added the formatdatabase reg key to restart the computer, turned on files offline, set the folder resynchronization, complete synchronization, still cannot add to the document library.
Then, in case there was a kind of corruption of the files on the server, I deleted the network folder, disabled the files offline on your PC, erased the cache of offline files, created a new documents folder on the server with the correct permissions, activated files offline, synchronize the empty file to the PC and tried to add the new folder of network document to the document library on the PC.  Failed because the empty folder is not indexed.  Once again.
    Any ideas?

    The fixed.

I needed to turn on the Windows search function to make it work.  You can synchronize files without it, but needs apparently indexing Windows Search to work.  Which is weird, because the Windows Search service can be disabled and it still works.
I rode on a group policy to disable windows search service because people are complaining about their PC slows down during the reindex operation.  This did not affect the ability to synchronize the network drives or to include them in the libraries.
On both machines on which I had the problem Windows search had been uninstalled programs and features (which is not really uninstall it, only it hides in Windows features.)
Conclusion: OK to disable windows search service, do not uninstall or disable the function.

  • Print to pdf in the same folder the original file

Is possible to automate this process:

    1. any application, choose Save as pdf (print to PDF or print to a pdf printer).
    2. Save the file in the same folder the original file;
    3. set the password (no copy) this new file?

    Thank you.

    Gianluca.

The original and the PDF files have different extensions, so they can be saved in the same folder.

Regarding automation you might see if you can use Automator to do. Find it in your Applications folder.

No changes were made because this system has a few months other than downloads.

I tried using the username provided by the scan to network folder setup with the IPL used for the HP forum and support. Also, I deleted the user name provided by the scan to network configuration folder and created a new pw. They have also objected. What user name and pw should be used?

  • Office Jet Pro 8600 N911g: San to the network folder

    With the help of:

    Office jet 8600Pro N911g

    10.11.5 OS

Firmware: CKP1CN1545AR (just updated today, Firmware was just posted in the last few weeks)

Print driver: 4.2.0 (just download today through 'HP Easy Start')

"Trying to set up' Scan to network folder" and continue to receive "the connection failed". In the past I used SMBUp add on software to scan to folder with the older firmware. After trying all the configurations of the network path, which does not work and receiveing several different reasons does not connect, I turn on the SMBUp and it worked. Turned out and received "the connection failed".

Installer for the scanning of network:

    Computer name: TGC-IMAC

    Network path: \\TGC-IMAC\HP-SCANS

It works with SMBUp, but not when it is turned off.

I tried to set up for a year without the use of SMBUp. I noticed today that the new firmare was available, and he said he would 'improve' Scan to network folder for several versions of the OS 10.

    What Miss me... bad etc.?

HP you have to work on the development of the configuration software to search for the path to the computer, then 'user guide' in the folder he wants to use. The current guessing game and test has got to go.

The user community has waited for YEARS for this correction, and now there doesn' t seem to work.

Any suggestions or comments would be useful, especially from HP.

    Thank you, tom

    Problem solved...

Came in this AM and I tried the test and it WORKED... The only thing that has changed is the computer and the printer have been turn off and started again. In addition, scanned a document in the affected folder.

  • LaserJet M3035xs MFP Scan because of the network folder

Hello. I had a question about the scan to network folder option on our M3035. At the same time, I had this put option in place and works very well with all our Windows 7 computers. The hard drive in the Copier has failed and had to be replaced that erased all our settings. I used the wizard to add folders to the copier to scan network and even though files test ok at installing any of my test scans are appearing in the record. I was getting an error in a first time on it is not unable to check access I went into the settings using the IP address and added my credentials in this way. After this step, I was able to scan, but nothing appears in the record. HP wants $1,000 to get out because we are no longer under warranty.  Any assistance that you can offer is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for responding. My Info was valid and set up the same way it was before. I decided to take a different route and put all the files on the server through the server to scan and save. That seems to work for now.
