I think it's a network problem, but I do not know how to analyze them.
Now I am tring to use oswatcher.

My production machine is a Linux x 64 with 10.2.0.4 database.

The error message is the listener, so this isn't a network error.

Is your standby shutdown and reboot (for example automatically for backup) in the night?

LGWR is recommended where repeat applies will be interms of roll forward. If in the case of all redo currently lost, you have very less time loss of data. Real-time here APPLY.
In the case of ARCH, transferred with regard to Archives and applied.

  • PC does not go on standby mode

    Hello

I have a strange problem with my Pavilion (Vista 64 bit): it just won't go/stay in stand-by mode.

Whenever I go through start panel into position mode it seems to go through the process of orders-by only're - wake up' the very next second pressing strongly it's fans and check the dvd player (no matter if there is a CD-ROM/dvd-rom in it or not).

Same thing happens whenever I'm away from the PC long enough for him to enter standby mode automatically. He tries to stand by again after a certain period of time without ever stay in stand-by.

I had the problem since I bought the PC a few months - but having already had to return to the first person that I bought right away I didn't go through the hazzle and take the second return - once again.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

    Sorry for the late reply.

The question that you mentioned usually caused if the network adapter is set to wake the computer from sleep. If you are usign an always on Internet connection then there will be a constant activity in the network card and it wakes you up the PC as soon as you put in mode 'sleep'.

Please, check the following and verify that the settings are correct.

-Press the Windows logo and the R button to open the control box run.

-Type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK.

-It will open up the Device Manager.

-Click on + sign next to network card and right click on the name of the adapter listed.

-Select properties, then click the power management tab.

-If the option "Allow this device to wake up the PC" is checked, uncheck the box that and click Ok.

Try to put the PC to sleep/wake and check if it is in "standby mode".

I would like to know if the procedure worked. Give Kudos if it works.

  • X120e bad DIMM location. System does not return from standby mode

    Hello. I have a X120e running Windows 8.1 Pro x 64.

I just put the unit to 4 GB of ram (2 x 2) of 2 GB (1 x 2). Whenever the upper DIMM Slot is used, the system will not leave standby mode and all power, including the battery must be removed from the system so that it works normally again.

Of interest, all the ram tested with Memtest86 +.

If it's important the system has the e350 CPU and a 320 GB HARD drive.

Let me know if you have any input.

    Thank you!

Update: I've updated the BIOS from 1.16 to 1.17. The system now between and leave pending normally as it should, with the two occupied ram slots.

Of interest, none of the BIOS settings changed after the update.

  • Switch 10 (64 GB, 1920 x 1200) - BSOD in standby mode (standby)

    Hi people,

I have a stable problem with my new Acer Switch 10, 64 GB model with screen 1920 x 1200 - if I pass automatically in standby mode (standby mode), I have about 50/50 to find it restarts when I come back to it - at some point during sleep, it falls in a "your computer has encountered a problem and needs to restart. It was 1 day of use - I encountered this already 10 times, that's why I decided to ALWAYS switch off the shelf by judgment. This is not very practical. I checked with BlueScreenView minidump files - error is still the same, catches of attached check screen

Should I send it to the service? WIndows is preinstalled, all including the BIOS updates are installed.

Minidumps can be downloaded here - https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7Gf-eniqaBzdlBwa0pWeDhSNWc&usp=drive_web

After I've sent my crashdumps bugtracker VirtualBox I pointed a wireless driver for Realtek which seems to cause the problem. Unfortunately the version installed is the last provided acer.com on in support area - v3007.2. I had to look for a newer version of this driver and managed to find an HP website. More details can be found here - https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/13902

The new (v.3007.6) driver for Realtek RTL8723BS wireless SDIO card can be downloaded here - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=ru&lc=ru&dlc=ru&softwareitem=ob-140101-1

In addition to solving my problem, it also fixes ad one when sometimes wifi connection becomes limited and no network do not appear until the reboot (or sometimes assisted flight mode). I recommend all users to Switch 10 update their drivers. It's a shame that Acer provides no drivers on the official site updated.

    Problem solved.

I have a computer with Windows XP, about 5 years old who often will not remain in standby mode. After 30-45 seconds it starts again and the display shows again the office.

Does anyone have a suggestion/recommendation what to do about it?

Thanks, any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hello JJLinker, welcome.

The issue is likely caused by "Wake by " settings in your power options. This gives a shot:

    1. click on START
    2. right click "My computer" and select "Properties".
"3. click on the tab"Hardware", then select Device Manager.
    4. expand the "Network adapters" category
    5. right click on each of the devices and select "Properties".
    6. on each, go to the tab "power management."
7 turn off the checkbox "allow this device to wake...". ' and click on 'Ok '.
    8. close all windows and restart the computer

Last week my desktop pc will not go in standby mode, it stops then am I get the message that he was arrested by mistake.  How to fix

    Hello

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Method 1 : check the clean boot and see if the problem is solved or not.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: perform step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Method 2: Update the display driver and check if the problem is solved or not.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    Hope that helps.

Your standby database health seems good and is in phase with the primary. Mistakes "hearbeat failed", you've seen, maybe during the RMAN duplication, Eve could have been returned a couple of times, who would have said these errors in the primary alert log file.

  • Accidentally open a standby database: can I return to standby mode?

    Hello world

I accidentally opened a physical database Eve (I shot to the top of the body of Eve with "START" instead of the usual "STARTUP MOUNT" command)

Do I have a chance to return to mode standby without duplicating fully all the data files in a full reconstruction of Eve? (Bandwidth network between the main site and will mean hours of copying files between sites).

    something like:

1 / stop immediately the mistakenally open mode standby; in fact already done ;-)

2 / create new control on primary eve files and copy them on standby

3 / copy the logs to check-in to the main site in standby mode

4 / re open an instance sleep and hopefully recover the gap between the standby and primary

We are running Oracle 10 g 2 with dataguard.

    Thanks in advance!

Looks like you think more complex

If you accidentally open eve of Galzain READ ONLY instead of mount status, then you can safely stop and then again start in State.

But the following description that you mentioned, I did not understand. Your watch was already split and it works well and that you opened before in OPEN mode? Is that your question? If yes no need to worry about follow below steps and nothing to restore controlfile or something Eve elementary school.

    (1) immediate closure

    (2) startup mount

    (3) start MRP

  • Synchronization errors between the primary and Standby - Cause of Performance issue

    Hello

We have an Informatica Repository Database, which has also a standby Database configured.

One of these days we had errors in synchronization that is mentioned below.

    Sun Dec 15 05:07:19 2013

    Errors in the /opt/oracle/admin/ROSINP/bdump/rosinp_arc0_802.trc file:

ORA-16191: customer main newspaper not connected waiting for shipment

    "PING [ARC0]: Heartbeat cannot connect to standby mode ' (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp) (HOST = uora115r)(PORT=1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = rosinr_XPT

    Sun Dec 15 05:12:19 2013

Logging of 1017 errors received on the eve

This can be only a cause of Informatica service down? Also this synchronization can result in performance problems?

There is no DB related errors on the database apart from that.

    Kind regards

Two points must be considered in when it comes to Archives of newspapers are not shipped to standby mode:

    1. it should be:
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 = SERVICE = MARKTEST LGWR ASYNC
    VALID_FOR = (ONLINE_LOGFILES, PRIMARY_ROLE)

2 are you able to conn sys/pwd@stby as sysdba, if yes, it means that there are no connectivity issues; If not, this is the reason that's why newspapers are not shipped to the backup site. It is due to number with password file or something with the name of the service. Just drop it and create a new/freshpassword with the same password for both primary and standby.

    3. check if your OS username part of the ORA_DBA group.
