  • Various errors between Lightroom and Jeffrey "Export to Flickr" Plugin Flickr

    Greetings.

It is really just a FYI forum post, in the hope that the error messages I received can help users of plugin from Adobe or Jeffrey Friedl; its export-to-flickr plugin has been much more reliable than the default of Macromedia, but it still gets errors sometimes - I attribute this especially on Flickr when it happens, but some of the error messages that I can't decipher, and devs can learn more.

Last week, in a single session of Lightroom, within two hours, the plugin has failed several times to download over and over again, and the following errors have been systematically posted:

    jflickr1.png

    jflickr2.png

(it was weird, because all images are imported at the same time, but 4 of them were given the status read-only; I attribute this to Lightroom).

    jflickr3.png

    jflickr4.png

(of course Flickr abandoned connection - so frustrating.)

    jflickr5.png

(this happened many - totally no descriptive error!)

Again, these are FYI only - I guess that the thread is 'closed' as soon as I 'opened it"- but I hope this helps devs on either end make their software communicate better with each other.

    See you soon.

I get similar messages. Sometimes to download 100 images, I have to restart the download 10 times. Sometimes I can't download a special Collection to publish Smart for a month, it will not just download and then as if by magic, the next time it downloads.

Jeffrey told me by e-mail that his plugin simply reports messages from Flickr, so all the problems are problems caused by Flickr.

I think part of the problem is the parent company of that than yahoo Flickr! is in trouble, and the money and resources to maintain and improve the Flickr just isn't what it should be.

  • Error updating Lightroom Inapplicable

After shooting a lot of images with my new Canon G9X, I tried to import raw images in Lightroom, but I couldn't. I checked the updates and upgrade to the latest version available for me (5.7.1) after reading online, I discovered that the version that supports the G9X Canon is version 6.3. My attempts to download and install this update failed. I received an error message saying that the update did not apply. I installed the Adobe application manager before making the update of 6.3. Why this error could occur? Can you help me? I need to be able to import raw images taken with the G9X.

    Thank you.

Patriciac95620005 to apply the update to Lightroom 6.3 you must either own 6 Lightroom or have active participation which includes Lightroom CC.  You can find more information on how to purchase, or register for the current version of Lightroom to digital photography of software | Download for free Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC .

Please feel free to update this discussion if you have additional questions on how to apply the update to Lightroom 6.3.

  • Error in Lightroom, constantly having to reboot!

Does anyone else know the issues with the new version of Lightroom?  Whenever I go to use it, I get an error message saying lightroom has shut down and will correct the 'question' during the restart.  Then on reboot, the error happens again, sometimes it seems as it is related to importation and the opening of files, etc.

If you are working on the Windows platform, then follow the steps below.

Open Control Panel > go to Device Manager > look under the graphics card for the graphic card > right click and disable.

    Now,.

    Open Lightroom

Go to Lightroom preferences in the Edit menu

    Click the performance tab

    Deselect the graphics processor

    Restart Lightroom

Open and check if it works fine, then go back to Device Manager and activate the graphic processor.

  • Error in Lightroom

My Lightroom displays the message: "Lightroom has encountered an error when reading the preview cache and need to quit." Lightroom will attempt to solve this problem, the next time it starts.

I have to click OK and it stops the program... Tried to restart and ran anti virus... everything seems fine.

    Can you please help?

I need to work on my photos...

    Thank you!

    T

Mohit instructions are only half of the solution.

The file preview that you renamed the 'old' should be removed from your system, it is redundant. The best solution was to remove rather than rename it.

Now Lightroom will make previews as necessary when you scroll, etc. This can be frustrating when looking for files like clips that take time to render.

Depending on the size of your catalog (how many files), you can either select all the pictures and then in the library drop select previews and be made Standard or 1 / 1 according to your needs. If you have a large catalog, then you can render into pieces...

I got a new computer that does not have a hard drive.  When I transferred 5 LIghtroom to my new imac to Time Machine of my old imac, it no longer works.  I have reviewed the documents of support and tried everything it aksed me to.  I put in my serial number every time I click on anything either, and it gives me an error message modules changing regarding failure.  I shut down the computer, I reinstalled, I gave the permissions in the preferences.  Please, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi Ruthiebear,

I you suggest garbage please Lightroom and then reinstall it from the following link: Install Photoshop Lightroom

As it is not recommended to install the Time Machine application.

Once that is done, then please go ahead and put in the serial number.

Let me know if you still receive the error.

  • Error import Lightroom 5.6

    I use Lightroom 5.6 on a Mac Pro OS X 10.9.4

My ircat library file is the normal user (default) location of the file.

My photo library (content) is on an external WD MyBook Thunderbolt Duo, connected via Thunderbolt.

I have a large storage and RAM available.

I have permissions to read/write for 'Me' by 'Everyone' on the Mac and the external drive.

    I imported the photos previously.

For the last three days, when I try to import any image (jpg, raw, etc.) from anywhere (desktop, external hard drive, hard drive, SD card,) through the COPY, MOVE, or ADD, I receive the following error message:

"Some import operations were not performed. Cannot move a file at the location requested. »

    Why can't I import?

    What did I miss?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Try to apply it to a level joint downwards or upwards, I had this problem and somehow that solved. You will find the level that it cracks!

Also run disk utility repair permissions on your Mac hard drive, it is designed to work especially on the readers of the BONE... I do regularly like cleaning!

  • Errors using Lightroom DNG recover edge plugin

I try DNG recover edge the new Adobe Labs' 4.2 Lightroom plug-in, but I'm having some trouble on the Canon 5 d Mark II and Mark III images.

    The plug-in:

    http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/lightroomplugins.html

    http://labsdownload.Adobe.com/pub/labs/lightroomplugins/lightroomplugins_dngre_docs.PDF

When I apply it to an image uncut, I often get this error message: "an error internal produced.?: 0: attempt to compare nil with number" when I get this message, also, after that, I have to manually cancel the process or else it works apparently indefinitely without any result.

I got this error message that all but a time to use the plug-in on my first attempt to get this working.

An exception was when it appeared to work, creating a new DNG with the suffix "_full" on the name of the file. However, it has increased the DNG size by a very small amount. Lightroom always reports its size as even, 5760 x 3840 pixels in the frame surrounding the image in the library and in the text information superimposed (hit 'I' to reveal). The metadata panel displays the largest size of 5796 x 3870.

After that, the plugin seems to work, but he created an image that was labeled '2 of 2' with a black frame around it in the library module. However, I couldn't find 1 of 2.

Then I quit and restarted Lightroom, and both images appeared, grouped stacked image. Comparing the two pictures, however, there was no difference, if the metadata Panel said that whoever has recovered edges should have more pixels.

Someone else from these errors? They seem to be less of a problem after my restart Lightroom, but the plugin still seems to be wrong to behave in a certain way.

    Hello Stephen,

Lightroom will always show you the dimension cropped in the cell of the grid and layering of information. The original and cropped dimensions appear in the metadata Panel.

As far as to see your username of cultures with the 5 d Mark III files - if I remember correctly, you must explicitly assign 'Add Info of cropping' on the menu of the camera.

And finally, I am unable to reproduce the error you report with the plug-in. Maybe you can provide me with a file that triggers the question.

    Thank you

    Kelly C.

  • QUESTION: How do I fix the error of Lightroom 3.6 and Failure to Launch

3.6 LR lance is no longer for me. I get the error message: "the catalog Lightroom called 'Catalogue Lightroom 3' cannot be opend because another application already has its opening." "Leave the other copy of Lightroom before trying to launch. As far as I know, there is NO open copy but LR 3.6 will not longer. It makes no difference if I re-boot or not. Sometimes I have PS Elements open, sometimes not when I try to open LR 3.6, once again, makes no difference, the same error comes up and I can't use the program. What should I do to get this tool open and usable again? This error will be like a software bug for me, not a good thing for users.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

There is a file in the same directory as your catalog that has the extension ".lock". Delete it and you will be able to run Lightroom.

To find your catalog (s), search for "." LRCAT'

  • Error launching lightroom 3.3 in windows

I get an error when I try to open lighroom 3.3.  I've only had the program installed for a few days on my newly installed windows 7, 64 - bit machine.  All windows and updates of adobe installed yesterday.  The last time I used lightroom, I edited a file "141.jpg" coming from my SD card plugged into the computer.  I do not remember to save this file, I played with the settings.  I closed the program and now, a day later, I click lightroom and a text box appears on my windows desktop that reads "Lightrrom - opening catalog: IMG_0141.JPG.lrcat ' immediately after, an error box appears and tells Adobe lightroom has stopped working, with the only option to close.   I searched the forums and couldn't find the user/appdata/prefs folder to remove (using Explorer and the search function).  I have uninstalled twice and reinstalled 64-bit and 32-bit versions with the same error.  I also deleted the lightroom folder that appears in the 'My pictures' folder before the second reinstall.  I just purchased the serial number and put it in yesterday and now it does not work!   Help, please. Thank you

    lightroom error.jpg

This situation arises when you try to create a new catalog of in LR and then pointing to an existing file instead of entering a new folder name to use for the catalog (I filed a bug against it).

You can only solve this problem in two ways (Alt/Ctrl + key during startup doesn't help):

    (1) rename the existing JPG

    • Rename the IMG_0141.JPG file (if you know where he is) to something like IMG_0141_Ori.JPG
    • Start LR, this will start LR in a new catalog called 'IMG_0141.JPG '.
    • File/open to open your previous catalog
    • Delete the file IMG_0141.JPG
    • Rename the file IMG_0141_Ori.JPG in IMG_0141.JPG

    (2) to delete/rename your preferences file

    • Rename/Delete the LR preferences file
      (Location of files Voirarticle article)
    • Start LR, this will start LR with preferences/default catalog

    I recommend the solution 1.

  • Error of Lightroom... needs to stop smoking

    Hello

This morning tried to open 5 Lightroom, which worked without any problems. Today, I got the message "must stop". I uninstalled the program, with the idea that reinstall can fix this problem. I have a card to download software with the registration key. I can't reinstall using the 24 method install numbers (no dialog box for the key entry does appear), can someone give me a steer on a solution? May seem a bit Basic for some users, however, I am self-taught and have little experience of computing, 'death of basis' approach answers would be very helpful

    John

I cracked the guy! Thanks for your help, much appreciated. Found the registration site and re installed by the 24 digit methodmany thanks john
