Error launching lightroom 3.3 in windows

I get an error when I try to open lighroom 3.3.  I've only had the program installed for a few days on my newly installed windows 7, 64 - bit machine.  All windows and updates of adobe installed yesterday.  The last time I used lightroom, I edited a file "141.jpg" coming from my SD card plugged into the computer.  I do not remember to save this file, I played with the settings.  I closed the program and now, a day later, I click lightroom and a text box appears on my windows desktop that reads "Lightrrom - opening catalog: IMG_0141.JPG.lrcat ' immediately after, an error box appears and tells Adobe lightroom has stopped working, with the only option to close.   I searched the forums and couldn't find the user/appdata/prefs folder to remove (using Explorer and the search function).  I have uninstalled twice and reinstalled 64-bit and 32-bit versions with the same error.  I also deleted the lightroom folder that appears in the 'My pictures' folder before the second reinstall.  I just purchased the serial number and put it in yesterday and now it does not work!   Help, please. Thank you

This situation arises when you try to create a new catalog of in LR and then pointing to an existing file instead of entering a new folder name to use for the catalog (I filed a bug against it).

You can only solve this problem in two ways (Alt/Ctrl + key during startup doesn't help):

(1) rename the existing JPG

  • Rename the IMG_0141.JPG file (if you know where he is) to something like IMG_0141_Ori.JPG
  • Start LR, this will start LR in a new catalog called 'IMG_0141.JPG '.
  • File/open to open your previous catalog
  • Delete the file IMG_0141.JPG
  • Rename the file IMG_0141_Ori.JPG in IMG_0141.JPG

(2) to delete/rename your preferences file

  • Rename/Delete the LR preferences file
    (Location of files Voirarticle article)
  • Start LR, this will start LR with preferences/default catalog

I recommend the solution 1.

  • Error launching Photoshop from Lightroom

I use Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 and Lightroom 5 of the creative cloud. After the upgrade to Yosemite, I get an error launching Photoshop from Lightroom. When I right-click on an image in Lightroom and select Edit in Photoshop I get an error: "among application components are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the application. I reinstalled Photoshop CC 2014 and I still get the error. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Uninstall Photoshop, Lightroom and the CC app, run the tool from Adobe CC cleaning and re - install.  Use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6

  • Problem loading Lightroom 5.5 with windows 7

I get the following error message when you start Lightroom 5.5 for Windows 7 64 bit: Lightroom has encountered an error when reading the preview cache and need to stop smoking.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom with the same error.

Using the browser of your system, go to the folder containing your catalog and delete the file with the extension .lrdata. Then launch Lightroom, and it will start and create a new folder of previews.

  • Error Launcher.exe

I frequently receive crash reports Launcher.exe, there seems not to be a place when it happens.
If I click to send or leave, I can move the road and continue, if I do this goes back to the previous action.

Clean Windows registry. The registry contains all the settings, files, and application codes used by your computer system. There is also the problematic components that can generate the error Launcher.exe. When the registry is cleaned, these defective components have been set. To prevent this error from the registry entries, a professional registry repair tool should be used, it is the best way and effective to avoid any error Launcher.exe.

  • Lightroom crash very often (Windows 7)

Recently, every time I open Lightroom and try to do whatever it is developing, the program stops responding and needs to close. I'm running on Windows 7-64 bits, with 16 GB of RAM. Photoshop, however, is quite well. I never had performance problems (slow but manageable speed brushes, etc.) with Lr.

Any suggestions as to what I can adjust to fix this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jacob

If you cannot launch Lightroom or Lightroom crashes before you can uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" you can disable this preference manually by following these steps:

    1. Stop Lightroom
    2. Go to %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
[appdata is hidden by default: press the windows and the keys r to open run and type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto, then follow the path shown]
    3. Open the Preferences.agprefs 6 Lightroom file in TextEdit
    4. Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the useAutoBahn next = false
    5. Save and close the file Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
    6. Restart Lightroom CC/6
  • Lightroom on laptop with Windows 10

I am trying to install the trial version of Lightroom on laptop with Windows 10. I have the CC desktop application. After clicking on the button next to Lightroom CC the only information I get is 'pending' and nothing happens. The download does not start. What is the reason? I also installed mobile LR on my Tablet and it says that my 30 day trial has started, but I still can't download LR to my computer. Can someone help me?

Well, as you said you got error message on administrator privileges.

Going to do something, to confirm & if you want, try once hidden Admin account.

You don't need to create one, it is incorporated super user account.

If you are able to install from there, then we can easily understand the specific issue of the user account.

    Carefully follow the steps below:

[This may look different on your computer, I had activated Cortana thats it.]

In the Windows search text box type CMD, it will give search results:

Important: right-click on "Command prompt" Options and select "Run as Administrator".

It will open the command prompt in elevated mode window.

    Step 2)

Now copy command below can do a right-click on the black prompt screen window, select the paste option and press the Enter key.

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

You should see a message that the command completed successfully.

    Step 3)

Restart the computer and the connection to the user account named ' administrator' and then try again to install Lightroom.

    Note:

To disable the hidden administrator account, you can follow the same steps above and use command below.

NET user administrator / active: No.
