Error message "an error has occurred when attempting to change modules.

I received the error message, and it does not use Lightroom 3.3.

I am unsure as to the cause.  I even deleted and reinstalled the software and the 3.3 updated, but in vain.

I use a MAC Pro Tower and also have CS5 Extended (12.0.2 X 64) and Adobe Bridge (4.0.4.2).

I finally got around to set up the suite and CS5 extended and bridge were not a problem.  When I launched Lightroom 3.3 is when I received the error message.  I tried to run Lightroom in itself and still have the error message.  I stopped and restarted my computer and launched Lightroom separately and received the error message.  I deleted the Lightroom software, stop and reinstalled and launched by itself and still have the error message.

The key is that I can't access preferences to set up Lightroom.

Someone else has this problem?

Needless to say that any suggestions or direction is appreciated.

Thank you

If you did rename the file "com.adobe.Lightroom3.plist" to something else, so LR would not recognize it?

If this does not help, try to move your entire preset file

"Macintosh HD/Users / [username] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom / '.

somewhere else (or ZIP and delete) when LR is closed. Then restart LR.

If she did not help, you can move the folder back to its original location.

The catalog is a file called *.lrcat (as LRCAT), that you can double-click to open it with LR. The default location for it in LR3 is

"Macintosh HD/Users / [username] / pictures/Lightroom/Lightroom Catalog.lrcat 3.
