I bought and installed an SSD in my Dell Vostro v131 and when I tried to install windows 7 using a USB key, I get the following message and cannot continue with the installation.
A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can remove this step
I created the bootable usb key by following these instructions:
1. in Windows Vista or Windows 7, open a command prompt and run the following commands one by one:
(a) Diskpart
(b) the list disk
You can identify your USB by its size. For example, there is disk 1.
(c) select disk 1
Select your USB drive.
(d) clean
Erase it.
(e) create primary partition
(f) select partition 1
(g) active
Mark this partition as a boot partition active. This will allow this bootable USB key.
(h) format fs = ntfs quick
2. after formatting the Flash DRIVE, copy all the files in the DVD on USB drive
I copied the contents of the DVD of the OS that came with the v131 when I bought it.
Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
I installed Win 7 on my desktop the same procedure and I have never seen this message before...
Anyone can shed some light on this problem?

I saw a post elsewhere that this problem is due to the use of the USB 3.0 port during installation of operating system with a flash drive.
I plugged the USB in the por USB 2.0 and that solved the problem.

If you use Windows Vista, it seems that the Kodak camera is not compatible with Windows Vista.

I am using Windows 7 32 bit on a machine with 4 GB of RAM 540 i3.
I get error code 70073712 when trying to install Win 7 SP1 via windows update.
I disabled all startup programs and services not microsoft.
I ran the fix - it utility and update v10 system utility preparation x 86.
I have still some errors on the log to check ON that I can't fix, I don't know if they help or not. Log is shown below:

Thank you for your message. Please, try the following steps:
Since you have already downloaded and run the system update tool, you can move on to step 2.
1. According to your architecture of Windows 7, download / install and run the tool update system - CheckSur you can download the tool from the links below depending on your system type.
Download the tool update system (64-bit)
Download (32-bit) system update readiness tool
2. click Start type cmd (you should see the command prompt fill up) right click and select run as administrator
Inside the command prompt, type sfc/scannow
For more information regarding the file system checker.
* If corruption is found, see How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7
3. once the SFC is finished, check your hard drive for errors.
4 restart the system update readiness tool. If errors have been eliminated, try to reinstall Service Pack 1. If this is not the case, go to step 5.
5. perform a Startup Repair, when starting, try to install the Service Pack.

I get the error message "Manager policy of Microsoft .net framework case has stopped working" when you try to start the installation of the 5 Series Driver Pack. Tried all the Basic .net troubleshooting I found on the net. Get the option debug or close the program. I'm trying to download and install the latest update (update OS 10.11.3) on my computer. I currently have OS 10.11.2 running on my Macbook Pro. The file seems to download correctly, then it asks me to restart my computer. When the computer reboots, I get the error message: "" OS X El Capitan Update"could not be verified. You can try update again on the App Store after the reboot. "Once my laptop has finished restarting, it pulls up to the App Store to the updates page and indicates that the computer must be restarted. I tried to restart again and got the same error message. I tried to download the update again and got the same error. Is someone having a similar problem or suggestions to solve this problem? Thank you!

Method 1: First of all, make sure that no proxy server is causing this issue.
a. click on the round to start, in the search field type cmd
b. right click on cmd.exe and select 'run as administrator '. Accept the UAC prompt.c. has the prompt, enter the following command exactly as written including spaces and press enter

If this message appears, type exit, and then press ENTER.
Method 2:
Check if the bits service is started.
a. click Start, type services.msc

I get to the automatic loading screen, but it's where everything stops. I was able to load my Photoshop 7.0 disk correctly. The Adobe help site has proved to be useless at best to address this issue.
If your goal is to get the installed updated version you need not to install the previous version. When you go to activate the upgrade it will ask you to provide the serial number of the version previous qualification.
If your discs continue to be a problem you can try to download the installation files instead.
