  Just reinstalled my OS on my laptop, Windows XP Home Edition. Downloaded a scanner free spyware and scanned my laptop (EWIDO anti-spyware).   If the "humming" noise came from the right side of the touchpad, so I think there was a problem with your hard drive during the scan for spyware. I suggest that you run CHKDSK on your hard drive to check for errors.

  Also I suggest that you disable the "automatic restart" option so that in the future when you get the blue screen error you will have the time to read what it says. This will help you diagnose the error.

  Thank you for your help it lead me to the source of the problem.  The license agreement OR released - simplified Chinese.rtf file was present, but the extension was cut because only when the file is unzipped the file path is longer than the limit of Windows file path. So I just did the shorter file path and sets the extension and it worked.

  script is great for debug it quickly.

  The problem is caused by the ChnHistogram 75 online. It happens in the 3rd iteration of the loop to the detour.

  The issue seems to be the ClassBegin or ClassEnd parameter. I think the error message should tell you that ClassBegin > ClassEnd, but this needs debugging later.

  I have a labview VI (continuous while loop), getting initialized in the subsequence of Initialize section of the main sequence and running in the new thread. An error in the execution of this loop will stop execution of VI, pass the error to Teststand and out the thread. I need to put an end to the execution of the main sequence, when the error event in the new thread (passing initialization). Is it possible to do? I'm getting the popup of error Standard Teststand, when the error event, but when I choose to cancel/Abort, the execution of the main sequence doesn't stop and continues. What is the right way to handle errors for threads running in parallel?

  Some approaches.

  1) wait on the new thread periodically with a wait with a timeout step zero and "timeout causes error" box unchecked. If the thread is finished and has an error, the step of waiting spread the main thread of the error.

  (2) call the Execution.Terminate () or Execution.Abort () of cleaning up your sequence newthread.

  There is no official adapter for LabVIEW 8.6 in Windows 7. See link below.

  Upgrade to SP1 LV2009 should solve your problem. We had this problem with another client and update SP1 LV2009 solved his problem and should solve your problem too. If you have a problem after the update let me know.

  Thanks, as always, to report bugs and suggestions on how to improve LabWindows/CVI. I studied the issue and has been able to reproduce. I wrote a CAR for her, id #438733. I might suggest two workaround solutions: right click on the taskbar of the CVI button and select 'Show windows' or turn off the "Hide windows when the application is running.

  This bug seems to occur in older versions of LabWindows/CVI, and it is indeed annoying. It should be fixed in a future version of LabWindows/CVI.

  The application does not seem to read from this file (see above) like the VI. I really don't want to make my own library of management errors, I don't have the time now.

• TestStand 4.2 string not found error in the language resource files

  I installed the TestStand 4.2 on two Windows XP computers.  On a machine it worked fine first time. On the other machine, I get the following message if poster in the login box and also in the component models: ' String not found in language resource files. "I tried uninstalling and reinstalling TestStand twice but you still get this error.  This error is preventing me from being able to log in as administrator, so I am unable to use TestStand 4.2. I understand that these language resource files are supplied by the installer, but for some reason, it seems that the machine with the error cannot locate these.

  The only difference between the two XP machines I can find is the location of user profiles.  I note that on versions of TestStand compatible Vista, that TestStand user settings are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2\Components on XP machines.  On the XP machine with the error all the user profiles are stored in C:\profiles, instead of C:\Documents and Settings.  This is the standard profile used by our company so I am not able to change that. TestStand Setup recognizes this and install for C:\profliles\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2\ TestStand user parameters.  Does anyone know if the location of user profiles is important, or if there is another cause of this error?

  The cause of the channels being found is probably at the first launch of TS, the language files are not found. The language files contain default values, and these values are kept as actual values during the recording of the configuration files. For example, the default administrator name and the default folders in the Insert palette. I would recommend that you delete the file Users.ini and Templates.ini in the configuration directory and this should address your current behavior. I don't know why the connection appeared a problem because I was able to use the blank password on the user 'String not found in language resource files. If you still have problems with the connection, let us know.

  I try to use my verizon air card, a PC770; VZ Access Manager version 7.2.7.1 recognizes the card very well, but whenever I try to "connect WWAN" I get the following message - "failed to connect - connection not available." I try to start this service and receive error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. I have check the Dependencies tab and see Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol.   To the OP:

  Just go to the properties of the service you are trying to start, then select "this account".  Browse your computer and find the "Local Service" account  Clear the password so that it is empty and apply.  You will get a dialog box indicating that the account has been given to the connection as a good service.  Then start your service.  This should solve your problem.  I have seen this question many times and there are many, many reasons why it could have happened, but there is nothing to worry.
