Error on the Pavilion DV6 of disc series

Product: HP Pavilion dv6z-7000

OS: Windows 7

Message: A disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart

I got this laptop a month ago, but have never been able to use it. When I first turned it on, I got this error message. All restart attempts result in the same message. I ran the system diagnostics, and it passed. Nothing happens when I press F11, at least I have tap a lot, as it begins just beep when I press on it.

Detailed instructions, step by step would be helpful, because I am a failure when it comes to computers.

Looks like you have a hard drive problem. Try to enter HP utilities by recording the F10 key, until you get the utility and run the hard drive test and memory. If this does not she, I would call HP for a replacement.  It's only a month!

I understand that after upgrade to Windows 10 of Windows 7 that you had problems with the laptop.  You tried to return to your original operating system, but was invited to the disc that you did not.  Then, you used a Windows 7 disc to reinstall the operating system.

If you do not format the drive and remove the recovery partition, you can use it to perform a recovery to factory.  If you format the disk and the partition has been deleted and you need to contact HP support to acquire a laptop HP recovery kit.

  • If I install Windows 7 64 bit on the Pavilion DV6-1334us, who had 32-bit?

I need to recover my Windows 7 32bits Pavilion DV6-1334us.  The recovery partition is not an option, so I need to get the HP Web site recovery disks.  HP support site does not recovery disc for Wiondows 7 32-bit OS on this laptop.  They offer the recovery discs for the 64-bit Windows 7.  I understand that these books came in 32 and 64 bit OS, so I need to know if I can use the OS 64-bit on this material?

  • Support Wizard updates on the Pavilion dv6, Messages of Info w / English incorrect, etc. - is this Normal?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook PC (product number: XZ082UA #ABA) running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I was installing the updates through the HP Support Assistant and a message appeared on the screen saying that it was "flashing" system and that the keyboard and the touchpad work not for the next minute or so, but the message box has some points of grammar that just made me a bit paranoid that it wasn't true... "The touchpad, keyboard would be no function during the flash process". My laptop has been really hard and as a windows command prompt were popping up then open Windows Installer. I don't know, I could just be acting paranoid for no reason, this is my first time installation updates through this program, so I don't know if this is normal... Just be careful because an error message containing a bad computer destroyed English of my brother... So I was wondering if it is normal that the update process.

    Hello Skunk,

If the update takes place through the Support Assistant, you are fine.  "Flashing" is the correct term for this type of update.  It is always better to prevent than cure.

    I need a resonable answer! & FAST ~ ~ ~!

Yes you can try to identify the hardware info induvidually and download the drivers from the website of its manufacturer, it may or may not work.

The best way is to restore the operating system to the factory delivered one, so it shouldn't have any problems with the NB.

You can order the CD from recovery online or call HP.

    Thank you

    Hello @srinathkn,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your message and understand that you try to use Miracast on your Pavilion dv6 notebook. As noted in your post and Maintenace and Service of Guide, Miracast is not supported by this type of laptop. There are a few third party options that don't use Miracast, more commonly known as transmitter and receiver HDMI systems.

For more information please provide your product model using the link 'find my product'.

Thanks, I look forward to your response with the result.

  • Pavilion dv6-2170eo: UEFI does not work on the Pavilion dv6-2170eo

I updated the BIOS on my Pavilion dv6-2170eo of the e.17 release (I think) for F.1CA, the last of them. I have installed Windows 8.1.

As there was no partition HP_TOOLS, I could not use the BIOS Setup. I created a HP_TOOLS partition and installed the HP System Diagnostics UEFI, sp52093.exe, but I can't always run the tools of diagnosis or the configuration of the BIOS. When I press ESC, F2 or F10 when booting the computer locks.

If there is no other solution, I would like to go back to an older version of BIOS, without EFI, because it worked well before. Where can I find such a version?

Forget it. I misunderstood the problem.

  • cleaning inside the Pavilion dv6

My HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook is more than 3 years old and I didn't clean the fans. My other laptops, I was able to take off at the back and blow out the dust.  This one has a lot of screws and don't know what to do to get to the back.  No information in the product documentation. can I just blow the gills or take off the back?

    Hello:

If it were me, I would remove the battery and the power of the portable a/c, puts a thin object (such as a straight pin) through the fresh air fan grid and place it between two of the fan blades to keep the fan spinning and air through fan of air spray a couple of times and the other way through the vent system to return a couple of times until I saw no visible dust blow.

  • On the Pavilion dv6 network error

I use a HP Pavilion d6-2190us. operating system is Windows 7 64 bit. When I started this morning, I was greeted with the following error:

to resolve this issue. More details are available in the windows
    In the system event log.

Since I'm only one computer on my wireless network, it is quite confusing. What measures, if any, should be taken?

I had this problem in the past with a laptop. To resolve this problem, all you need to do is restart the modem. I would recommend the tension of your devices (printer and laptop, pull the power cable to the back of your wireless router or modem, wait 30 seconds and plug it back. When all the lights are back on and stabilized, turn on your laptop and printer. When they finish of turning it back on, the router will assign them new IP addresses. This should prevent you from having more conflicting IP addresses.
