1 I used a service tech, as a gift, the Dec23/10 online. Problems occurred during the 5 hour session. PC was going well in advance.

2 on PC Dec25 would not start. Operating system not found message that appears. Used F8, last known 5 times and it no longer works. Put into service on battery 4 times. It no longer works.

3 a written tests HP for operating system not found {but was for XP and WIn2000}, with drive to test the hard drive. Message adjustment but

other areas didn't have so not.

4 related to Vista and Win 7. It's for the boot drive address not found Error Message.

This message comes not so much waited and did as below.

5 performed a full scan on MBAM, program no. threats 6 Ran Reimage and 2800 + corrupt or missing files found and repaired. This did not help and used the battery when you restart.

7 when the open PC Windows updates were parties and 71 had to be installed. Had to use battery or reboot.

8 new updates have shown, once again. Installed 8 and 1 failed. {Windows PowerShell 2.0 and 2.0 WNRM, optional}.  Could not start on more then ran battery test the boot drive HP fix error.  Test the Test of the Bios and the hard disk does not appear to work correctly according to the instructions, but normally open when you restart PC. I'm afraid to stop PC again.

Questions: 1. can you please help with the BIOS and hard drive tests for my PC?

2 HP support assistant has always shows failure of updates, analysis and data collection. Why?

The downloaded program beginning Jan/11

3 the event viewer displays error messages for updates and contact HP. examples: 134 CPU device breaks down... server windows could not start the process of some updates. What can we do? It comes after new updates.

4 I want to uninstall the online tech company and all of its files, etc. Should I use REVO uninstaller. ? Windows Defender shows ports and exceptions for several parts of this program. I have to uncheck them?

5 my adapter is bent at 45% s. This could be part of the problem?  The light is on.

Your help is very appreciated. I'm at a loss and a user of learning with hours and hours of reading.

  • "The operating system not found" message after the display of the Dell Logo

    My HDU failed (Inspiron 5100 using XP Home).  I installed a new HDU, you use Win XP Home oem disk (object of Dell original lost).  Use the drive as a partition.

    Now to start a 'Operating System Not Found' message appears after the Dell Logo is displayed.

    Pressing on Ctrl/alt/del removes the message, and the Dell Logo displays of new laptop starts perfectly in XP Home...

    I guess that's because I couldn't set up the small partition normally present (assume it has diagnostic data, etc.).

    No way to delete the message?  (?? The BIOS setting?)

  • Error "operating system not found" Vista on HP Pavilion DV6700

    I get a recurring "Operating system not found" error on my HP laptop. To let you know - I have backed up all the files on the DVD machine.

    The problem started last week.  I tried to turn the machine on and got the error.  I did a scan of the hard disk BIOS and the hard drive passed all tests.  I then tried to insert the first of the 3 recovery DVD in the laptop, but they did not start.  Finally, I used the partion (by pressing F11 at startup) to access the system recovery program.  Then I did a system restore to roll back the last Windows Update.  Windows has started, but it took awhile.  I used the PC for a week or two (backup everything!) and of course, I got the error again.  I went through the same process above, but do not restore the last update of Windows, the system does not yet recognize operating system.  Use the system restore, then rolled back the most recent update window.  System startup, but it takes a long time to start.

    Any ideas on how to solve this problem?  Should I do a system restore and start from scratch?

    Hi Questionme,

    You're able to boot inSafe Mode?  If the system starts in Mode safe without delays, we can eliminate the default settings and drivers for devices such as the cause and you can use theclean boot in order to identify a driver or a possible confrontational program. In addition, runchkdsk /r from an elevated command prompt (also valid for Vista) to verify the integrity of your hard drive.

    Hi guys

    I'm new on this Yes, you can be sweet. I have an Equium A210, 2 years old.
    Everything was fine until today when it goes off.

    I thought that it might overheat because he felt hot so cool.
    When I turned it back I get the error "Operating system"... not found This is accompanied by a constant clicking noise coming from under the laptop!

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thank you very much

    This error is known to me.
    I had too!

    It appeared after the death of my HARD drive.

    I think the BIOS does not recognize the HARD drive and therefore the operating system is not found.

    To me, it seems that you need to replace the HARD drive and then you could install the OS on the Toshiba recovery disc.

    Hello

    This problem may occur if one or more of the following conditions are met:

    (a) basic input/output system (BIOS) does not detect the hard drive.

    (b) the hard disk is damaged.

    (c) sector 0 of the physical disk has an incorrect or malformed master boot (MBR) record.

    Note: Some third-party programs or alteration of the disk can damage an MBR.

    (d) an incompatible partition is marked as Active.

    (e) a partition which contains the MBR is no longer active.

    Method 1:

    I suggest that you update the basic input/output system (BIOS) to the last version by contacting the motherboard or computer manufacturer, and the Coachman.

    Important: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. • After leaving Win10 Win7 upgrade, error "operating system not found"!

    My son has been upgrading its laptop Win7 to Win10.  The upgrade has been painfully slow (more than 7 hours) and hooked to 85% achieved 35% of writing configuration files.  The light of the fool presented no signs of activity of the HARD drive for hours.  In disgust that it finally just manually turned off and restarted.  Windows says it's re-installed his previous operating system.  Everything seemed fine at the time.

    The next day, as he watched a training video and 25 minutes in the laptop just went to a black screen and showed 'Unknown device Boot' and "Can't find Operating System" error messages.  (Of course he had just looked away for a second because this happened and looked at the back after stopping the audio.)  Manually, it turned off and rebooted 3 times before it should start!

  • Re: Satellite U400: operating system not found then the installation of the OS

    I have a toshiba satellite u400 with is come with VISTA.

    Because I don't like VISTA, I then installed WINDOWS XP with a multi boot.

    Everything worked well. But one day I want to resize my partitions I used Paragon partition manager.
    This product is required to operate only to resize my xp partition, so he asks me a start.

    And then nothing works.

    I try to fix my problem with a fresh install, but it seems that the boot sector was not correct.
    Then I completely format my hard disk on another computer with a USB CABLE.

    When I try to install VISTA, XP or LINUX on a CD or DVD, I ask the multiboot with F12
    I chose to boot from the CD/DVD built-in, but I get only "OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND',

    It's as if the BIOS test the HARD to FIND something specific, and it does not find.
    When my PC worked correctly I could boot from the drive to dvd without problem.

    I called the SUPPORT CENTER of about 10 days, but I have no answer.

    So if someone could help me.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND message appears generally if the laptop has attempted to boot from the HARD drive and didn t find the operating system.

    But I put t understand why you formatted the HARD drive using the USB cable?

    Please insert HARD drive in the Bay of laptops HARD drive and check if the HARD drive is recognized in the BIOS!
    If the HARD drive has been recognised so I recommend you to take a disk Win XP Home and at the start of this disc.

    As I m not wrong not you will need to first install the SATA drivers to recognize the HARD drive.
    The fact is that the laptop supports the SATA controller and SATA drivers are needed to get the HARD drive recognized by Win XP.

    Well, after you have booted from the Win XP disc you need to format the new HDD by using the NTFS file format and should then follow with the installation of the OS.

    Hi Gary,.

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.

    According to the description, you have problems with the computer not start.

    This problem can occur because of a hardware problem.

    Proceed as from the link below and check if that helps.

    "Operating system not found" or the "Missing operating system" error message when you start your Windows XP-based computer

    Warning: Be careful when you change the settings of the BIOS (Basic Input Output System). The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

    Meet us if you face problems with computer not start or any other issue of Windows, and we would be happy to help you.

  • I received an error message: operating system not found. I need to reinstall Windows, but do not have the media. How can I request media?

    "OS not found"

    Hello... My laptop out there today and I'm trying to start it, it says "operating system not found '... I guess I reinstall windows Vista but I can't find any cd/dvd... I dontt think that I was given when I bought my laptop a few years ago... Do you think I can get another copy (free of charge)) L

    Hello

    If you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your laptop there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

    Ask them to the proper key sequence.

    Also some manufacturers have more available recovery Vista disc.

    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

    "How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

    And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

    operating system not found

    I can do or do I have to take it to the dealer for repair? Help, please.

    Hello

    I guess that something with your HARD drive is not really OK. An error message is displayed when the system is unable to boot from the CD/DVD-ROM or HARD disk.

    You have to imagine a sequence (called 'boot-sequence') where all devices that are bootable (such as disk, floppy, CD-ROM, NETWORK drive) are "checked" if some boot media or the program is present. Sequentially, the BIOS attempts to load the next available boot media.

    In the case of no current boot media, the system tries to finally boot from the network that doesn't work not because you´re not connected to a corporate network that has sometimes things network bootable... :)

    So, I suggest you to first check your BIOS (by pressing ESC, then F2) and check the "Boot sequence" if something has changed. Check if the HARD drive is located on the first entry, otherwise set it up. If so, then send your machine a partner / reseller/service because your machine then has a really serious problem.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
