  I have microsoft essentials. I got mcafee but he was running so slow that I couldn't take any more and it took off. I have to admit that I'm not savvy computer very, just the basics. everything went well for a few weeks, but then, when I booted up my pc, microsoft refused to start too.   Please, to be on the safe side, run the reomval tool, let, to ensure that none of the 'remains' of Norton components in the system.

  If you have more, it stops Windows Defender also. This is because they have their own advocates. Run 2 defenders in the same machine allows to create conflicts.
