Error reading blackBerry Smartphones Visual voicemail?

Hi all-

My visual voicemail worked fine until today, when I started to get an error message - when I press the play arrow, it says "Read error" and I can only access the message by calling voicemail.  Anyone who is familiar with that?  Do you think I should do a reset? If so, how do I?

Thank you very much!

Nancy

Hello!

When odd behaviors creep, do a hard reboot battery-pop is usually a good cure. To do this, the unit being turned on, remove the back cover and remove the battery. Wait for about a minute then reinsert the battery and replace the back cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long long long restart the process (perhaps as long as 10 minutes). See if things have cleared up. As all computing devices, a reboot can be a healthy thing... and there is another thread on this forum recommends doing this every 4 days (while we wait for an improved version of the OS).

See you soon!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Visual Voice Mail #44608

Have an unlocked Torch 9800 and since then it has been unlocked we have instances of text messages sent and received, indicating the 44608 number.   No messages have been sent or received physically this phone and hours of projection for the shipment have been if the phone is off.

I google the number, and it seems to be in some way threaded and visual voicemail which is not used on this phone.  I would like to remove it, but seems it cannot do without too much difficulty.

Have been in contact with our provider to ask if the phone can be blocked for text messages that my husband doesn't do not text, but I would really be available if need be.

We do not use most of the 'smart' features on both our Blackberrys because they are used for bases.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

If you are on a 9800 is no OS7 for the 9800. If you have a 9810 OS7 is available.

The difficulty that I read was to remove the visual voicemail.cod of the device file. It sounds simple and it is, but it is not intuitive.

I can help you, but I need you to answer my questions above. Exact OS version and if these devices came directly from Telus, or if they are branded to another carrier.

We need to install the operating system on your computer and run application loader. However, the difference of what we will do is we will delete the visual voicemail.cod of the OS file and run the application loader. It will then remove the cod of the voicemail. It is the only way to solve this problem, at least from what I've read. I literally wrote the book on this process of cod removal of files in 2008, so I don't know what I'm doing.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

It is not a means to access personal data that is on the phone. The error code

indicates that the operating system of the phone is unusable. Your data are organized and saved by the same damaged software.

If you have an old backup, you can restore data after reinstall the OS device.

  • Synchronization error 0x80040fb3-blackBerry smartphones

I spent more than 10 hours trying to get my Outlook 2007 and my Torch 9810 to synchronize.  I live (and die) my list of calendars and contacts and the need to address this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.

I tried pretty much everything I read online.  Any other suggestions or a really good step by step in order to solve this problem?  I'm not super irritable so have simple is much better.

    Thank you!!!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, we say you have "tried everything" depends on our applications of clairvoyance as to what this means (and these applications do not work these last time!), then we risk redundant advice. So, if you haven't done so already, I recommend you go here:

and search on that error code... see if the results are useful.

That said, some issues - has ever worked? Or is this your first attempt to configure the synchronization? And exactly when in the process means the present error? When you install the Desktop software? When you configure the synchronization? When you run the synchronization?

Alternatively, you can enable advanced logging to see if the journal reveals something useful to you:

    • KB01451 How to enable Sync advanced logging if a wired synchronization fails

Sometimes completely restarting cures some problems... to do, I suggest the following (reboots insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, under Vista/Win7, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

In addition, it was also reported that when your user profile on windows (type "echo %UserProfile%" in command prompt) contains spaces, then the installer will not work. To resolve this issue, log off from your Windows account and sign in using the local administrator account (or any other name of account without spaces) and install office (for all users).

Hello everyone. For the past few weeks, my card in my BB 8900, which was suddenly, works well before it began, now was displaying the following error message every time I have unplug my USB cord provided with my phone or my wall charger. :

Needless to say, I can't activate the option "Store to MEMORY" in my phone because of this problem.

I tried to fix the disk through this message in the forums by a user who has a similar problem. However, I had a problem. I connected my BlackBerry to my USB and my repertoire G:\ appeared. (I'm running Windows Vista). I clicked on my (G directory, then click on 'Tools' in the bar at the top of the window workstation.) The "removable disk (G appereared property window and I chose 'Tools'.)" I saw an option titled "Error checking", and I clicked on the button below (titled, "check now... »).

The moment I clicked on "check now...". ', an error message popped up in reading, "the disk check cannot be performed because Windows cannot access the disk.

Is there something in particular that must be set on the server Exchange to enable the Blackberry communicate with her?  The specific services that should be running?  The Blackberry is replacing a Nokia that synchronized without problems on the same Exchange Server.

Just a small clarification here - there is never any direct communication between a BB and the Exchange Server. All require ducts (BIS/OWA, BES, Desktop Redirector).

  • Error on blackBerry Smartphones try to play podcasts on my 9700

Relatively new BB; This is my first posting. I downloaded a few podcasts from the iTunes store (Rick Steves visits to tourist sites in Rome) first to my computer and then I created a folder on my memory card and copied (as indicated by a T-Mobile tech support person). After some effort, I find the folder. When I click on 'play' on a file I get the message "an error occurred trying to play the media. Now what? I have to download an application (iTunes?) to read the files?

Also, I can't download directly on the BB, without the computer?

You rant. I feel like a * beep *. Because I confess that I was familiar with the distinction between podcasts and MP3 files (all explained nicely in Rick Steves FAQ http://www.ricksteves.com/news/travelnews/0602/audiotour.htm#4) - Hey, I'm a Grandpa!

Nope, that won't work on other grandfather!  (Gramps in fact!)

I went through the whole process developed to download iTunes on my computer before realizing, with your help, that he does not play on the BB. Now you told me I didn't need to do that at all, just download the MP3 versions and they will play fine, without going through iTunes completely. Duh!

Oh, I did download and print pdf maps. I agree that they are great.

I don't comment on your 'mug shot,' even though, thanks to this limited experience, it is hard not to be sympathetic.

I shouldn't have blustered in a first time, sorry.

Which should be easy, right? Nope. Here is where the second level of idiocy comes in.   You're new at this it's easy on yourself!

I hesitate to ask, but you were such a source, I. I tried to download the small MP3 file directly on the BB, but received a message saying that it was too big. Alternative is to download on the computer, and then drag and drop for BB.

I downloaded media to the PC.

    (1) I wanted the full benefit of my virus checking software.

    (2) one here I wanted to analyze media and make some comparisons before I placed on press card.

That's what I did the other day with the version of iTunes. But now when I plug in the BB in the computer, I hear all the noises appropriate beeps and and the drive 'F' appears in the Explorer. But when I click on that drive a message if poster "insert a disc into drive f" happens to any order, I followed or if I turn the computer or BB or disable first.

F: drive your card or the memory of your device?  Who has iTunes on it?

You usually see 2 drives one is the memory of the device and one is the media card?

It should recognize the BB as any other player, right? This isn't. I'm guessing (hoping?) it's just a simple solution, I don't know.

After all, you did, you can solve this one? No, but we can!

  • "Error" of blackBerry Smartphones weird

The other day I was taking pictures and delete the ones I didn't like. After I deleted a photo a message appeared on my screen. It was in a box rectangular black (such as all messages from BlackBerry on this model) and had the triangle with the exclamation mark inside. The message read Eception exception: field is not a child of this Manager. Does anyone have an idea what this means?

It's just an odd java error.

When you encounter such things, close the application, you are in and restart the device, in this way: with the phone smart BlackBerry turned on, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
