Error running blackBerry Smartphones

Hi, have quite the problem here:

I have a Bold 9700, and now when I plug it into the computer, after
entered my password in the Desktop Manager, I got the error indicating:
* "Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library *"
* *
* Runtime error! *
* Program: C:... *.
* The application has requested to put an end to an unusual
way. Please contact the support team of the application for more information"*

I am running Windows XP, Service Pack 3
My device, based on the "About" under options is v5.0.0.423 (platform
5.1.0.116)
Attached is what I think, it is the error report

So, essentially, that I can't do anything about it either can not at all, backup, or whatever such that it crashes immediately. I've disabled all the automatic sync on my laptop DM, but it still crashes.

Note: My Desktop Manager on my laptop goes down just after I entered my
password, without the above error pop up, but the screen send error report
does not come out.

Someone has an idea?

Thank you

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest a withdrawal complete and re-installation of DTM by following the following steps (restarts insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, under Vista/Win7, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

(1) remove the package to update your device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

(2) properly uninstall the RIM DTM software:

  • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
  • Some noted that there are several registry keys to remove talk in this KB
  • Others have reported the use of a registry cleaning tool to be also useful

(3) get a new RIM DTM software download:

  • Choose the version which is more recent and (if any) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchronizing via USB):
  • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

(4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

(5) install DTM on your PC

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

(7) start the configuration Organizer:

  • KB17022 How to configure applications to Organizer for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager

If all goes well, who's going to make things again.

Good luck and let us know!

It is not a means to access personal data that is on the phone. The error code

indicates that the operating system of the phone is unusable. Your data are organized and saved by the same damaged software.

  • Sync error of blackBerry Smartphones running OS 7

Since last week, I was unable to sync my Torch 9860 with my newly installed desktop software, v7.

The device synced perfectly until I upgraded the software on my Windows 7 computer. Within 5 seconds to start a synchronization, a BB Desktop Software window opens with the following message:

  • Synchronization error 0x80040fb3-blackBerry smartphones

I spent more than 10 hours trying to get my Outlook 2007 and my Torch 9810 to synchronize.  I live (and die) my list of calendars and contacts and the need to address this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.

I tried pretty much everything I read online.  Any other suggestions or a really good step by step in order to solve this problem?  I'm not super irritable so have simple is much better.

    Thank you!!!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, we say you have "tried everything" depends on our applications of clairvoyance as to what this means (and these applications do not work these last time!), then we risk redundant advice. So, if you haven't done so already, I recommend you go here:

and search on that error code... see if the results are useful.

That said, some issues - has ever worked? Or is this your first attempt to configure the synchronization? And exactly when in the process means the present error? When you install the Desktop software? When you configure the synchronization? When you run the synchronization?

Alternatively, you can enable advanced logging to see if the journal reveals something useful to you:

    • KB01451 How to enable Sync advanced logging if a wired synchronization fails

Sometimes completely restarting cures some problems... to do, I suggest the following (reboots insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, under Vista/Win7, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

In addition, it was also reported that when your user profile on windows (type "echo %UserProfile%" in command prompt) contains spaces, then the installer will not work. To resolve this issue, log off from your Windows account and sign in using the local administrator account (or any other name of account without spaces) and install office (for all users).

    (1) as appropriate, remove all packages updated devices OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

    (2) properly uninstall the RIM desktop software:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
    • Some noted that manually remove the registry keys (RIM, BB, PUMA, etc.) to be useful... but, if you don't know what you're doing here, don't even try as you can make your PC dead if you're wrong.
    • Others have reported the use of a registry cleaning tool to be also useful
    • Still others have reported the use of your original PIM (Outlook, NOTES, etc.) Installation CD, run the "repair" to be helpful in some situations process

    (3) obtain a new download of the RIM Desktop software:

    (4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (5) install the software on your PC Desktop

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

    (7) start the configuration Organizer:

  • Sudden media card error of blackBerry Smartphones... ?

Hello everyone. For the past few weeks, my card in my BB 8900, which was suddenly, works well before it began, now was displaying the following error message every time I have unplug my USB cord provided with my phone or my wall charger. :

"A memory card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct errors, please use a checking utility on a computer disk errors. »

I tried my manuals and docs that came with my BlackBerry and can find any info on this subject.

Needless to say, I can't activate the option "Store to MEMORY" in my phone because of this problem.

I tried to fix the disk through this message in the forums by a user who has a similar problem. However, I had a problem. I connected my BlackBerry to my USB and my repertoire G:\ appeared. (I'm running Windows Vista). I clicked on my (G directory, then click on 'Tools' in the bar at the top of the window workstation.) The "removable disk (G appereared property window and I chose 'Tools'.)" I saw an option titled "Error checking", and I clicked on the button below (titled, "check now... »).

The moment I clicked on "check now...". ', an error message popped up in reading, "the disk check cannot be performed because Windows cannot access the disk.

I am at a loss to know what to do! If anyone can help or offer suggestions, it would be GREAT and VERY much appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read this!

CORRECTION of a PROBLEM! But I would like to share just in case someone else has or happens to encounter the same problem... !

Make sure that your card is in your BB.

Go to your main screen. You just need to format your card. To do this, follow these steps:

CLCK Menu > Options > memory > Menu > Select 'Format'.

In a second or two, your card should be fine and back to normal operation!

  • Error on blackBerry Smartphones: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working

I use Desktop Manager 4.7.0.32 with a Blackberry Bold (9000); I sync with Outlook 2007 and I am running Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate w / SP1. Synchronization worked well for many years with previous blackberries, but the synchronization problem appeared after a year or two of use with my previous camera curve.  I replaced the curve with the bold thinking which damaged equipment could be the problem (one too many drops).

However, the problem persists.  While it seems I can synchronize with success a way (from PC to BB), Director of office falls down to halfway through synchronization of calendar entries in a synchronization two-way, unless there has been no new entry calendar on the BB. The error is an error generated windows inidcating: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working.

I tried every solution I could find on the web, namely:

    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Desktop Manager, making sure that I run the installer as administrator.
    • My Blackberry wiping and reinstalling the operating system (I use 4.6.0.162)
    • Delete the Intellisync folder
    • Run scanpst on my Outlookpst file
    • Clear the entries of calendar on the Blackberry (temporary solution only)

The latter is the only approach that has produced no results.  If I delete the entries on the Blackberry, the

process synchronization adds them correctly, and the next time I run the synchronization, it works without a hitch.  As soon as I did all the entries on the BB unit however, Desktop Manager crashes again, and the only way I can make it work is to clear the entries on the Blackberry and start over.

I'm several months and both handsets of BB has invested in this issue now.  I have a new fancy camera, but am recorded in writing of the appointments on paper when I am out of the office because I know they used to synchronize if I enter them at BB.  Type of defeated half the point of a blackberry...?

Getting desperate here.  Help is appreciated.

    Brad

    Hello Brad!

I had the same annoying problem that you guys have described here.
After trough fishing a lot of post and forums I found a very surprising solution for another type of BB and a different version of the DM on XP and not Vista. Being desperate I tried and miraculously it worked!

Start the DM BB and go - Syncronize - set - synchronisation - synchronization (button) - calendar - Advanced (button) - mapping fields (field mapping button) and I got rid of the synchronization between the flag "alarm" and the "free occupied" and the fields "invited".

I did it and now everything works perfectly.

I have a BB Bold, Vista Ultimate (32 bit), MSOffice 2007 (PRO) and a DMv4.7.

I hope it will work for you also.

    Kind regards
    Steve

BlackBerry 8320, Outlook 2007, Windows XP, Exchange 2007 and Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0.1.28, extreme frustration.

Try to get the Exchange calendar to sync to the blackberry.  Outlook is configured to deliver mail to the mailbox on the server.  AFAIK synch is set up correctly, synchronization begins, ends with the error message "failed to get an Outlook or Exchange.  Lack of network access to the server Exchange can cause this problem ' Journal lists 'Read '' ' to the list of items, so connection to the server at a certain level is assumed, but ends with:

It is one of the only two blackberrys in the Agency (and likely to stay at this rate), so BES installation is not an option.  Outlook works fine, we deleted then recreated the Outlook profile and the sync folder in the folder settings for the application - no luck.

Is there something in particular that must be set on the server Exchange to enable the Blackberry communicate with her?  The specific services that should be running?  The Blackberry is replacing a Nokia that synchronized without problems on the same Exchange Server.

Thanks for your responses and suggestions.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Here are a few KB dealing with this message:

    • KB11951 Unable to get data from a Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange Record. Lack of access to the network for MS Exchange Server can cause this problem.
    • KB01172 Error 'Unable to get a folder Outlook or Microsoft Exchange' when syncing with BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Just a small clarification here - there is never any direct communication between a BB and the Exchange Server. All require ducts (BIS/OWA, BES, Desktop Redirector).

  • Errors of blackBerry Smartphones My World ' year error occurred while updating your application list.

Whenever I select my world of the web page, I'm prompted for my blackberry id username and password, if I get the right user name and the password that it continues to ask me for my credentials, everywhere else looks that I am enrolled in fine with my code. On my Blackberry, I get the error "year error occurred while updating your application list" when I opened my world. I contacted Rogers for support and they told me that I have to contact Blackberry

Edit: I already tried ALT RST. And I tried different phones as well. Using a different ID for Blackberry works fine.

Rogers took a week to move to the Blackberry on that. It was a bug in version 3 of App world that they felt was set at 4, I am now the 2nd person to report in the last two weeks.

Basically, I've had too many blackberries and too many applications in my App World and the list is time when pulled.
